I went to the scenic spot in the morning. It is true that the photos were all backlit, so I couldn't capture the beauty of the Danxia landform, but it was still good to look at with the naked eye. My third visit to Xining. This time, I visited the Qinghai Tibetan Medicine and Culture Museum. 👍"Medicine is embedded in food; medicine and food share the same origin"; "Where there is poison, there is medicine; where there is medicine, there is poison; medicine and poison coexist and transform into each other"; 👍"Man" means medicine or medication, "Tang" means thangka, and "Mantang" is a medical educational wall chart. This perfect combination of Tibetan painting art and medicine is a treasure of Chinese medicine and a rare find in the history of global medicine!
Tip: The museum is open on Mondays! 👏👍
The South Wing's exterior design draws inspiration from traditional Tibetan books, symbolizing the longevity of cultural heritage and the enduring spirit of the plateau.
The North Wing's exterior design draws inspiration from the Medicine Buddha Mandala, symbolizing the light of the sun and moon illuminating the world, blessing humanity with health and longevity.
The museum features sound-activated lighting. When you slowly approach from a deserted area, the lights illuminate the exhibition halls, creating a truly stunning experience. Some people find it a bit intimidating, but I personally love this clever touch.
The first floor of the South Wing houses a cultural and creative center, simple dining options, and even a small library. I highly recommend a visit; it's affordable and enjoyable!

Ling Xiaozhe is located at the second stop on the sightseeing bus, at the Snow Leopard Pavilion, about 30 meters down from the Beast Hall. Xiaozhe, Xiaomang, and Aoxue rotate between opening hours and are more active in the mornings. Before you go, it's best to find out which one will be open that day.
When I went, Aoxue was open, and Xiaozhe was scheduled to open the next day.
We saw caracals, snow leopards, desert cats, and many other plateau animals we had never seen before. It was great! But eating was a bit difficult. There was only a Dicos near the panda house, and the only other snacks were sausage stalls.

This is a truly worthwhile attraction. The drive there and back, combined with the sightseeing, would take a full day, but the scenery is truly unique. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the time! I went during winter vacation, and it was beautiful, not crowded, and definitely worth it!
The scenic area is incredibly well designed. First, you'll admire the Yadan landforms from the observation deck, then take an off-road truck down into the valley. Then, you'll take a shuttle bus or drive your own desert buggy, then ride a camel or a camel-drawn cart. The entire trip up to this point was truly seamless. Then, there's the approximately one-hour hike, where you'll step into the Yadan landforms and experience the wonders of nature. It's truly breathtaking, truly beautiful, truly hot, and truly tiring. Haha, there's no turning back; you have to walk the entire way, just like life, haha.
By the way, each person is given a supply pack on the off-road truck ride, which contains sugar, bread, and water. At that moment, I knew the hike ahead would be no easy task, haha. The final stage of the hike involves climbing to the summit. Why? Because only at the summit is there a bus that takes you back to the scenic area exit. There are two options: take the Sky Ladder (a staircase boasting an 86-degree vertical drop of over 60 meters) or walk up the winding staircase. Since children must be over 12 to climb the Sky Ladder (presumably to understand the instructions), we opted for the long, winding route up the mountain. At the summit, we enjoyed an iced apricot drink at the cold drink station. It was incredibly refreshing, haha. Overall, it was a great experience.

The reclining Buddha in the Big Buddha Temple is really shocking. It is the first time I have seen such a large Buddha indoors. It is very rare. The surrounding murals are also very exquisite. In addition to seeing the colorful Danxia when you come to Zhangye, I really recommend coming here to see it. It takes about an hour to visit the whole place, but it is definitely worth seeing.
Walking into Zhangye's Grand Buddha Temple is like stepping into the folds of time. The reclining Buddha's eyes half-close, millennia of light and shadow shimmer across his garments. Zhuoer Mountain is a hilly grassland, opposite to Amidongso, with nice scenery. In addition, the scenic area is also very mature. There is an extra-long elevator going up the mountain and a water slide going down the mountain, which is also very interesting.
