We traveled a long way to Ejina. We first went to the Ejina Populus euphratica forest, and then to Heicheng Ruoshui. I personally think Heicheng is better, the poplar trees are bigger and the leaves are yellower! There are shuttle buses to and from various scenic spots in the scenic area. The poplar forest by the water is really beautiful and shocking. I saw the sunset in the strange forest, which was also beautiful! In the evening, I also watched the iron flower and fire pot performances.
Environment: Heishui New City is a man-made scenic spot, which replicates the ancient city at a 1:1 ratio, and has the same business model as many ancient cities. Ruoshui Scenic Area is worth visiting, and Phoenix Forest, Life Oil Painting Forest, and Love Island are recommended.
Service: It is recommended that the scenic shuttle bus be converted into a fully enclosed one, as it is dusty when driving, and it is a bit cold at the end of September. The scenic shuttle bus service from Heishui City to the Strange Forest is very poor.

It is more suitable to go in the afternoon, watch the sunset in the desert, and then you can wait to watch the show. There is a show in the small square, which is included in the ticket. There are also performances in the evening, which require additional tickets. Be sure to buy tickets for the evening show, which is great value. The overall cost-effectiveness is super high. The actors are very dedicated and the atmosphere is super good.
While in Zhongwei, I visited Tonghu Grassland (which actually put me in Inner Mongolia) and got to ride a horse for the first time. There were plenty of activities to do in the desert area, including go-karting, where you can drift while lying down. The only downside is the small size of the grassland, but overall, it's worth the trip!

Although it was rainy on the afternoon when I arrived, I couldn't see the wonders under the sun, but rainy days also have their own flavor, making people marvel at the wonders of nature. If I have the chance, I will come back to see the Grand Canyon on a sunny day.
It was very smooth to take the highway from Wuhai (I took Provincial Highway 315 back, which was beautiful but easy to get a flat tire...), the scenic area is indeed very remote, if you are entering the scenic area by car, just choose the middle route and drive to the second gate to change to a sightseeing car.
Notes:
1. There is only one dry toilet at the main entrance and the second entrance of the scenic area (no water, but there is a big garbage pit below, and everyone pulls into the pit...)
2. If you pass the Beijing-Tibet Expressway from Wuhai, you will pass a gas station (there seem to be 3), where you can go to the toilet. If possible, go to the gas station to go to the toilet and fill up the gas
3. On the way back, we took Provincial Highway 315. There was no signal, no toilet, and no gas along the way. You need to pay attention to safety and drive slowly. The road conditions are not good and there are potholes that are easy to burst. Although the scenery is really beautiful, it is safer to rent an off-road vehicle if possible
4. The scenic area's sightseeing car will take you to the end where the sightseeing car can be driven. After getting off the car, there is a dream bridge. If you walk forward, there is a very open area that is very beautiful. Don't miss it
5. Choose a good weather time to go. Pay attention to mosquito repellent in summer. Bring mineral water and dry food. There is no supply along the way
6. Try to leave a full day for this scenic spot, otherwise it will be very rushed
