The building blends classical Eastern culture with Taiwanese characteristics. Its shape resembles a bamboo tree rising tall and strong, its strength and flexibility symbolizing the perpetual vitality of traditional Chinese architecture. The building's facades, inclined at a seven-degree angle, rise gradually upwards. Highly transparent, energy-saving, and heat-insulating curtain glass, which eliminates reflective light pollution, allows visitors to gaze at both the sky and the earth from within Taiwan's tallest building. High-tech materials and innovative lighting create a transparent and clear visual experience, integrating the building with nature and its surroundings on a grand scale.
Easy to use and save you time as you don't need to wait in line to buy a ticket. Overall experience was okay but not spectacular. Observatory for me personally was not worth it as you see the same view. There are many nice decorations to make a picture for Instagram, etc, but I don't do that on my trips, so it depends on your personality to visit observatory or not.

The park was so crowded. The weather also was not good, the wind broke my umbrella, i recommend to bring raincoat or buy one at the entrance. But the scenery is nice with the great shaped stone and ocean view behind.
“女王头”岩石非常脆弱,长期风化与人为接触都有断裂风险。官方也有保护措施(例如设置围栏、限制接近)部分旅游团在此停留时间较短,让人感觉“匆匆一瞥”不足够细看或拍摄 对于很多人来说,“女王头”是亮点,其他岩石虽 interessante 但可能不如它那样印象深刻。有些游客觉得如果主目标就是女王头,其余部分可能觉得普通

As a psychological observer deeply involved in geography and cultural tourism, today I want to take you to Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan from a deeper perspective—it's not just a tourist attraction on a map, but a place where your heart can find peace. Is Sun Moon Lake worth visiting? My answer is: Absolutely, especially suitable for "tired people." If you're feeling overwhelmed by the pace of city life, if your children need a natural awakening away from electronic screens, if you crave truly slow-down family time— then Sun Moon Lake is the place that will allow you to rediscover the sounds of the wind, the water, and your inner voice. Highlight 1: Picturesque Scenery, Poetic Name Sun Moon Lake is located in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, and is Taiwan's largest natural lake. Its name comes from its shape: The northern half of the lake is shaped like the sun (round), hence the name "Sun Lake"; the southern half is curved like the moon (arc), hence the name "Moon Lake." In the early morning, when a light mist swirls around the lake, it's as if a layer of gauze has been laid on its surface; at sunset, golden light spills onto the water, creating a dreamlike scene. Many tourists say, "Standing at Xuanzang Temple Pier, all my worries suddenly seemed to disappear." This isn't just about the beauty of the scenery, but also a therapeutic effect – when your vision is filled with pure nature, your brain automatically enters a "relaxation mode." Highlight Two: Cycling and Walking Around the Lake – Rediscover the Rhythm of Life Sun Moon Lake boasts the most comprehensive lakeside bike path in Taiwan, approximately 33 kilometers long, with numerous rental points and rest stops along the way. You can choose: Easy Version: Cycle from Shuishe Pier to Xiangshan Administrative Center (approximately 6 kilometers), with viewpoints, cafes, and indigenous handicraft markets along the way; Deeper Experience: Challenge yourself with the entire route, traversing tunnels, climbing hills, and speeding along the lake, feeling the resonance between your body and nature. I once took a family with a teenager suffering from chronic anxiety there. After three consecutive days of cycling, the almost silent child asked for the first time, "Dad, can we come again tomorrow?" Exercise + beautiful scenery + a stress-free environment is the best form of psychological relaxation. Highlight Three: Cultural Integration, Hearing the Heartbeat of Taiwan Sun Moon Lake is not only a natural scenic spot, but also the ancestral home of the Shao indigenous people. They are the only indigenous group in Taiwan living on the shores of a lake. We recommend attending: A Shao ethnic song and dance performance: Listen to them sing ancestral songs in their ancient language; A traditional handicraft workshop: Let your child make a rattan coaster or a totem wood carving; A night tour of an oolong tea plantation: Learn about the local centuries-old tea-growing history and savor a cup of mellow Dong Ding oolong. These experiences won't be on exams, but they will plant a seed of respect for the land, culture, and life in your child's heart. Highlight Four: A Slow-Paced Travel Experience Suitable for the Whole Family Unlike the crowds at city attractions, Sun Moon Lake offers a relaxed pace, making it perfect for families and seniors: ✅ Concentrated attractions, convenient transportation (you can take a yacht to connect various piers) ✅ Clean and hygienic dining options; recommended dishes include Grandma's Tea Eggs, Wild Boar Rice, and Millet Mochi ✅ Many unique guesthouses are built along the lake, offering scenic views from their windows; the nights are so tranquil you can hear frogs croaking. Staying overnight is especially recommended. As night falls, the soft lights reflected on the lake create a serene atmosphere that is truly unforgettable.
It is very easy to use for all locations. Just scan a QR code, and you will get a ticket. I used it for the ropeway first. The views are very nice and breathtaking. Be aware of the weather there as it might get cloudy and rainy on some days. Boat is using a ferry service and goes to the other two locations so you can see the temple and each side of the lake. Renting a bike was also very easy. They offered me an electrical buy if I wanted to go around the lake, but I sticked with a normal one and went around the lake anyway. It took me about 2.5 hours and a bit of effort to do so as at some parts you have to go up on a steep hill.

I visited Taipei 101 during my solo trip and absolutely loved it! The view from the observatory was amazing — you can see the whole city from above. Especially when the sun goes down..such a pretty skyline and sky..The building itself is beautiful, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants inside,a bit leicey though. It’s very organized and easy to get around even when you’re alone. Definitely a must-visit in Taipei!”
Worth a visit to see the beautiful panoramic view of Taipei.

You can enjoy the scenery of Taipei City by taking the cable car. There is also greenery along the way. The wind on the mountain is relatively strong and it feels cool. There are many shops selling tea, and the shop assistants are warm and friendly.
The air up there is very good. It is easy to travel by Maokong Gondola. It takes about half an hour to get to the top. It is very convenient.

Incredible experience, especially for the price. I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised with the Panda exhibit! The animals seem in good spirits too—which was the most important thing.
Best combo ticket ever! You can visit the Taipei zoo, cable cars and the Taipei 101 observation deck. Buy online and receive three QR codes, one for each place. Really efficient and great value for money!

I liked the red lanterns along the way and the variety of snacks and street food, but it was too crowded since it’s a popular attraction.
It is one of the top three old streets in Taiwan that is worth visiting. Because it is close to the sea, the scenery is very beautiful. The whole old street is full of rich Taiwanese folk characteristics. You can take a bus directly from Taipei.

This tour was surprisingly good. It wasn't a large group, but the most important thing was that the tour guide was very professional, articulate, and attentive to every detail. He was also very considerate and helped the passengers find the best angles for photos. This was definitely the best tour guide I've ever had! Of course, the car was also spacious, comfortable, and clean. I have to give it a thumbs up!
A very beautiful mountain with lots of peace and tranquillity. Hikers must go climb Tashan, the highest peak in Alishan. It’s a tough climb, gave us a very good workout. But you must go early to enjoy the view at the top because the fog will cover most of the view in the afternoon.
