It was raining heavily when we went, which was quite disheartening at first. But after an hour, the rain stopped, leaving only a light drizzle. I headed up wearing my raincoat (which I bought at the Red Gate entrance for 10 yuan). If you've never climbed Mount Tai in the rain, you absolutely must! It's cool, and you get to experience a completely different kind of scenery: waterfalls, seas of clouds, and a sea of green... When climbing Mount Tai, don't bring your own water. I climbed Mount Tai with my 70-year-old father, and I carried six bottles of water. I was exhausted, but there are plenty of supply points on the mountain, and bottled water is only 2 yuan a bottle. There was no need to skimp; it was too heavy. 😃 We reached the summit in 3 hours and 15 minutes, which wasn't as difficult as I'd imagined.
Eating on Tianjie Street isn't cheap, personally, but it's 182 yuan (as shown in the picture below), but that's understandable. After all, I carried it all the way up!
The sky after the rain was misty and shimmering, and Tianjie Street was truly worthy of its name. It was a fantastic experience!
