The Tongliao Xiaozhuangyuan Cultural Tourism Area is located in Huatugula Town, Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner, Tongliao City, 48 kilometers from the city center. It officially opened in August 2012. Centered around the birthplace of Empress Xiaozhuang Wen of the Qing Dynasty (1613-1688), the scenic area features a reconstruction of her former residence, the Prince Darhan Mansion. The area covers a total area of 8,900 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and is now a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
Empress Xiaozhuang Wen (Bumbutai) was born in the Prince Darhan Mansion. Her family was one of the leading tribes south of the Gobi Desert during the Qing Dynasty, making it known as the "Hometown of the Mother of the Qing Dynasty."
The scenic area is conveniently located adjacent to the Xinlu Expressway.
