Weizhou Island has received mixed reviews, so we only planned a one-day visit. We took the Beiyou 12 cruise ship for the outbound trip and the Beiyou 25 for the return trip. Tickets must be booked in advance, and we booked late on Ctrip, so we had to pay a premium for VIP tickets for the outbound trip and business class for the return trip (Ctrip staff helped us secure the tickets, and I paid the difference via WeChat). To access the top deck on the Beiyou 25, you had to pay an additional 40 yuan, so be aware of this. The island's natural scenery is quite beautiful, and I particularly liked the Dishui Danping (Drip Screen). Renting a car on the island is much more convenient, but the 5 yuan parking fee at each attraction is quite unreasonable, especially considering you already have an island entrance ticket. The island still retains some of the indigenous lifestyle, which is great. However, I wouldn't recommend visiting during the summer months; it's too hot and sunny, and even sunscreen won't be very effective. Overall, Weizhou Island is one of those places where you'll regret not visiting, but you might also regret visiting.
Weizhou Island is a large scenic area. You need to buy a ticket to enter the island. The ticket is 98 yuan. I bought it on Ctrip, which was very convenient. I booked it online in advance before going, and the journey was smooth. Online ticket purchase is very convenient now. If you don't have cash to book the ticket, you can still buy it when you arrive, but you may have to queue, which will delay your time. So it is best to buy it online in advance.

Entering through the main gate and ascending the stone steps, you're greeted by lush greenery, the air filled with the fragrance of vegetation. Shortly after, you'll come upon a red-walled, yellow-tiled building nestled among the trees. This is Qingxiu Mountain's most famous Guanyin Temple. Originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty, it boasts a history of nearly a thousand years. However, due to wars and other factors, it has undergone several ups and downs, and the temple we see today is a reconstruction on the original site. The temple is small, but its layout is well-organized, with the mountain gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, and the Main Hall lining the halls. It's a popular destination. Standing before the temple, listening to the morning and evening bells and watching the devout pilgrims amidst the lingering incense, one can find a sense of inner peace. The statue of Guanyin enshrined in the temple is incredibly spiritual, and many come here to pray and make wishes.
It's okay. The weather was so hot that I didn't really care about whether it was fun or not. I just focused on the scenery and walking around. It's better to go in the cooler months of March and April. If it's hot, I suggest renting a car at Dongmen and exploring for a while. Then take the train to other places.

Because of the water level of the Li River, the performance was changed. But it was my first time watching it, so I didn't know what was different. It started at 8 o'clock and ended around 9:10. I can only say it was okay. I personally think it was not as good as Guilin Eternal Love. Audiences left one after another before it ended. (Bring mosquito repellent spray and fans, it's stuffy and there are many mosquitoes outdoors at night)

This one performance offset all the previous complaints about the heat, the crowds, and the difficulty in getting a taxi. The performance was great and well worth the ticket price. There are many more performances in the park where you can take photos and check in.

I took my kids to Nanning Fantawild ASEAN Magic Painting over the weekend and the experience was absolutely amazing! I have to give it a five-star rating!
Each attraction in the park is unique, incorporating the cultural essence of the ten ASEAN countries. My favorite was "Fly With You," where you "fly" through Southeast Asian landmarks on a suspended chair, from the Grand Palace in Thailand to the Merlion in Singapore. The visuals were so realistic it felt like you were actually soaring through the sky. My kids screamed with excitement the entire time. There was also the live performance of "Song of a Thousand Islands," with its stunning combination of lights, water curtains, and song and dance. It felt like I was transported to a Balinese festival—the visuals were incredible!
The architecture in the park is also stunning! The French-style buildings on Vietnam's charming street and the replica stone carvings of Cambodia's Angkor Wat create stunning Southeast Asian photos—perfect for any girl!
Parents with children, don't worry! The park features a kid-friendly carousel, a jungle adventure, and a 4D cinema with a "Boonie Bears" themed animation, ensuring your child's attention. Dining options are plentiful, including Southeast Asian-style coconut rice and spring rolls, as well as simple Chinese fare. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious.

I chose the popular route from Jinlong Bridge to Jiuxian County, which covers approximately 6 kilometers and lasted nearly 90 minutes. Along the way, the raft slowly glided through the crystal-clear water, revealing tiny fish and shrimp frolicking beneath. Every time we passed a dam, the raft whizzed down, splashing huge waves. It was both thrilling and exciting. This collision of speed and excitement had me screaming!

The scenery along the way is picturesque, with karst peaks of varying shapes. Some resemble camels crossing a river, some like fairies descending to earth, and still others like five fingers reaching up to the sky. It's truly a marvel of nature's wonders. A must-visit when you come to Yangshuo. Our overall experience was fantastic. First, we took the cable car up to the scenic area, then walked through the mountains. The view was mesmerizing, and you'll realize how wonderful nature is, as created by God. Be prepared to get sweaty and walk for more than two hours. Make sure to wear sunblock and mosquito repellent if your skin is sensitive. Today was less crowded, so we were able to explore more comfortably and efficiently. Definitely worth the money and the experience.
The entrance is directly connected to the cable car, and then you have to climb a mountain, which is not suitable for taking very small children. The scenery on the mountain is very beautiful, and there are two sections of glass plank roads. If it rains, the glass plank roads will be temporarily closed.
