Panglao

This is a popular beach for tourists, but I found that it wasn&#39;t the most ideal beach for swimming as there were lots of boats around. The strip is very lively though, especially at night and has lots of great options for bars and restaurants. Good spot to visit for sunset and live music.

Nice beach with plenty of places to eat and hang out.  A little too much seaweed in the water to really enjoy too much time swimming,  but that&#39;s my personal opinion😂

Having seen the seas of Sihanoukville in Cambodia, Pattaya in Thailand, Mui Ne and Nha Trang in Vietnam, I now come to Alona Beach and feel that this sea is very comfortable. This comfort is like stepping on the soft sand, the warm sea water lapping against my calves, and the gentle sea breeze blowing over me. At this moment, I fell in love with this place. I will come again.

Alona Beach is the most popular beach on Bohol Island and the starting point for island hopping, so you can see a lot of boats here.
When I first saw Alona Beach, my first impression was not very good. There were touts everywhere on the beach, recommending island tours and SPA to tourists, and there were so many people on the beach. They sold food and goods, and it felt quite messy. We gave up on the idea of ​​having a bar at night.
We went out to sea early the next morning and returned to the beach at noon. The scenery made me feel that it was completely different from the beach I saw the day before. It was super beautiful. Looking at the photos, do you think it is the same place? The photos taken on the first day and the second day are so different.

Beautiful island just a boat ride from Bohol. We had a snorkeling trip here and were spoilt with beautiful crystal clear water. We got to see turtles and beautiful marine life. The locals all work together to keep the island clean. Lunch was simple but good and there are ladies selling souvenirs. Really nice little island with friendly locals.  The weather was bad the day we went but we still had an amazing time.

It is now a protected area. If you bring your own camera, you need to pay a camera tax of 200 RMB. The characteristics are that there are more soft corals and small creatures, but no big fish. Turtles can be seen, but no sharks. It is still a long way from Bohol by boat, more than 3 hours. Dive three times a day. Many clownfish, all kinds of clownfish can be seen. Stonefish, lionfish, jackfish. The soft corals are more beautiful than Sipadan. There are also many sea hares.

The beach here is particularly beautiful. It is near Bohol Island and is more suitable for couples. The sea water here is really good. You can see a lot of things when swimming. Half of the beach is full of crab boats.

It&#39;s a very relaxing resort. When we sailed out, we saw a vast expanse of blue sky and blue sea. It was very shocking. I can&#39;t find any adjectives to describe it. It is recommended to find a local tour guide, we found one through Facebook. In three days, I almost played all the itineraries on the Internet. The tour guide asked about my wishes and arranged them. The price was not expensive. It was much easier to arrange it with someone else. And there was a special car to pick me up, so I didn&#39;t need to bargain every time I took a car.

Bohol Anda and Candijay Tour is a must try experience when you visit Bohol, Philippines. You get to experience trekking going to falls, be amazed with their rice terraces, and be relaxed at their Anda Beach which is not that crowded unlike in Panglao. If you rent it on the day, you can bargain it down to 250p. The main thing is that the lady boss is simple. You just need to show your driver&#39;s license and take a photo, pay the rent, and you can drive away. The motorcycle must be automatic and there is no need to shift gears. Just step on the accelerator and it will be fine. If you live in an apartment, you must rent a car to go shopping first. It is the opposite direction of McDonald&#39;s. Turn left after leaving the rental shop and follow the main road for about 3 kilometers. There is a large T-junction (pay attention to the roadside stall on the left when you are about to reach it. You must buy fresh coconuts on the way back. Tell the guy not to pick those that are too old, because you must eat the pulp inside after drinking it, which is like jelly. It costs 25p each, and it sells for 50p on McDonald&#39;s street and 80 on the beach). There is a 7-11 convenience store opposite. Turn right here and there is a gas station 300 meters away. Next to it is a light textile, grain and oil market, and at the back is a local farmer&#39;s market with fruits, vegetables, pork, and freshly chilled fish and shrimp. After settling down, you can order a firefly set meal, which should not exceed 100 yuan per person. Go to the cliff restaurant of the Bee Farm at around 5 o&#39;clock. Forget the flower salad, just get a pizza and a drink, take a photo and check in. Go to the parking lot at 6:30 and leave. It takes about an hour to take a boat to the river. As long as it doesn&#39;t rain, you can see fireflies. The twinkling is quite romantic. The guy will catch one or two. You can see its abdomen flashing, flickering. It&#39;s worth seeing.
The next day, you can rent a motorcycle to see the glasses. There are two points. If you don&#39;t go to Chocolate Mountain, it is 50 kilometers away from Alona. You can go to the reserve for more than 30 kilometers. Be careful when going down the mountain. It&#39;s a big steep slope. You can go at 60 kilometers without braking or accelerator. On the way there, you can go to the Catholic Church to check it out. On the way back, you can go to ICM Mall, which is like Carrefour in China. Have a seafood feast at Praw Farm on the first floor. The taste is good. Although the blue crab is fresh and alive, the shell is too hard and the meat cannot be tasted. It is recommended not to order it. There is only a seafood buffet on weekends.
You must see dolphins in Panglao. Just go to McDonald&#39;s near the black shop and make an order. It&#39;s usually 650-700 P per person. Go to see dolphins at 6 o&#39;clock, then snorkel, and then go to Virgin Island. Return at 12 o&#39;clock. Lunch is not included. It&#39;s best to bring your own. You can also order fast food on the island. The main thing is that it&#39;s not delicious, and eating outdoors in the Philippines is fighting flies. In addition, remember to put on your swimsuit or snorkeling suit in advance in the morning. It costs 10p to change clothes on the island. The key is that you can see that the environment is very simple. After that, we went to Virgin Island and bought abalone that was really the size of a palm. It cost 200p for one and 500p for 6. We put water in a small wooden barrel on the boat, took it back to the apartment to dispose of the internal organs, and steamed it with seasoning water for six minutes. It was Q-elastic. I really don&#39;t believe the level of the residents on the island. It&#39;s better to do it yourself and not waste ingredients. The price for deep diving experience is 2500 per person, which can be reduced to 1500p, about half an hour, including taking pictures. It&#39;s best to go to the beach after 5 pm, because it&#39;s too sunny during the day. It is enough to stay in Bohol for 4 or 5 days.

The crab boat goes out to sea to chase dolphins and sea fairs, snorkeling to see seabed faults and coral parks, is very pleasant, and the consumption is not high, basically without equipment, with a thermos cup and a large towel, sometimes very cold after the cloudy sea. The local crew were very enthusiastic and did not catch up with us until they wanted to go back. Occasionally the sea is rough, so take extra care with your children.
