Kanas Lake is located in the north of Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. It starts from Kalemaxu in the north, reaches Hewut in the south, connects to Tiewaike in the east, and reaches Alguisala in the west. It is located at 48&deg;81&prime;46&Prime;N, 87&deg;04&prime;10&Prime;E, 150 kilometers away from Burqin County, at the junction of four countries. It is a lake in the middle of mountains.

The colors of the water I saw when I visited Kanas Lake on September 10, 2024 and Shenxian Bay, Moon Bay and Wolong Bay on September 11 were very different. Kanas Lake is really magical.

Kanas Lake rafting 280 yuan
At 16:12 on September 10, 2024, we took a bus to the Kanas Lake Cruise Terminal Station, where we could buy rafting tickets for 280 yuan per person, including disposable rafting clothing, paddle boards, helmets, and life jackets.
Then we walked to the Kanas Lake, changed into waterproof clothing, put on safety helmets, walked all the way to the cruise terminal, took a rubber boat, and set off in white clothes.
At 16:55 on September 10, 2024, the weather was sunny, with blue sky and white clouds, green water and green mountains. The starting point was at the Kanas Lake Terminal, with a total distance of 8 kilometers. The whole journey took 40 minutes, which was generally stable and a bit exciting.
In fact, the water flow was not very fast, the water in Kanas was very clear, the scenery along the way was beautiful, and we were wet by the waves many times along the way.

Three wonders of Kanas Lake
There are three wonders in Kanas Lake. The first is the thousand-meter-long dead wood embankment. This is a somewhat strange phenomenon.
The second is that there is a giant &quot;water monster&quot; in the lake, which often drags horses drinking water by the lake into the water, adding a bit of mystery to Kanas. Some people also think it is a kind of big red fish that is a local specialty.
The third is the wonder that only appears after the rain-Kanas Cloud Sea Buddha Light.
There are young people sitting in rubber boats on the Kanas Lake plank road. Both men and women are wearing white clothes. They are brave people who go rafting and are also the main group willing to consume.
Walk back to the cruise ship dock, walk north for a while, there is nothing to see, so go back to the cruise ship dock. Then walk to the cruise ship dock parking lot. In fact, if you walk north, you may be able to see the thousand-meter-long dead wood embankment.
