Very distinctive murals, most of which were created hundreds of years ago, are still not faded, which is not easy, indicating that the production of pigments is very sophisticated! The colors are bright, and the themes range from religion to stories!
Stein am Rhein is known as the gem on the Rhine. It is one of the most medieval cities in Switzerland. It is located in the northeast of Switzerland, close to the borders of Germany and Austria. Its full name is Stein am Rhein. The biggest attraction of Stein am Rhein is the buildings here. The youngest is already hundreds of years old, but each one is well preserved. It is called the gem on the Rhine and is listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The town is not large, with only one main street, but the exquisite murals on the exterior walls of traditional houses here attract countless tourists every year. Coming to the town of Stein am Rhein, it feels like being in a fairy tale world, because medieval-style buildings can be seen everywhere, as well as various murals. Each house has beautiful murals, reliefs and bay window decorations. The colorful old buildings connected to each other are like a long scroll being unfolded, which is extremely exquisite. The whole city is like a living medieval art gallery. Walking in the narrow alleys, the Rhine River flows through, making people intoxicated. The Rhine Bridge is also a good place to enjoy the town of Stein and the Rhine River, and you can also see the Hohenlingen Castle on the top of the mountain in the distance. It is highly recommended to drive to visit the town of Stein. You can park your car in the parking lot outside the clock tower gate (Zeitturm) in the old town of Stein. From 10 am to 18 pm, it is charged CHF1.5 per hour, and it is free after 18 pm. I am Shun Shi Clockwise, an older young man who loves traveling, photography, and punching in. Although I am not a professional traveler, traveling has become a compulsory course in my life and an indispensable part of my life. I love to take pictures casually and share my travel experience. If you think my notes are helpful to you, please give me a like to encourage me.
