Oriental Salt Lake City is actually a very large scenic area; walking around would be too tiring! Luckily, there are shuttle buses inside the park where one ticket covers all attractions. We rode the bus stop by stop and tried almost all the rides. The scenery inside the park is beautiful, and there are many activities to enjoy; it's definitely worth a visit.
It's definitely worth a visit, especially for young people, and it's also perfect for bringing children. There are many attractions to enjoy. Be sure to visit the area where you can get free game tokens (silver tickets), which can be redeemed for food or used in the live games. Kids will have a blast! There are also some traditional free attractions inside.

The combined ticket is well worth the price, and all of these attractions are worth visiting. The landscape here is a true epitome of Jiangnan. Tianmu Lake, like a gentle emerald jade, is gently embraced by verdant mountains. Its 7.25 square kilometers of water are crystal clear. Boating on the lake reveals a crisscross of islands and a winding shoreline. Climbing the Zhuangyuan Pavilion offers panoramic views of the lake and mountains, truly worthy of its reputation as a "green wonderland." The Nanshan Bamboo Sea is even more magnificent, with 35,000 mu of emerald bamboo forming a boundless sea of green. The breeze rustles the bamboo waves, and walking along the tree-lined plank road is awash with negative oxygen ions. Climbing to the summit of Wuyue's "Diyi Peak" offers a glimpse of the scenery of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces.
I went there on the first day of the Lunar New Year. There were a lot of people but there were also a lot of pools. The pool at the entrance was packed with people, but the one inside was better. There was a restaurant where you could eat, a lounge and sofas where you could lie down. As one of the few natural hot springs nearby, I was quite satisfied and would come again!

This place is rather dated but it has its charms. The entrance is located next to a military facility so it takes abit of effort to find. On the other hand, the place is serene and feels authentic, with more locals rather than tourists. It makes for a nice retreat from the city. Recommend it for slow travel (: My favourite the the heated stone bath. As for buffet, that people were raving about, it is so-so and best to go at the start of the buffet as the food is gone quite fast.
Traveling from Shanghai to Nanjing, I experienced Tangshan Hot Springs, which was truly a wonderful experience. There are over 30 hot spring pools, arranged in layers throughout the forest, making the process of finding the smaller ones particularly fascinating.
The scenic area is a bit difficult to find, being adjacent to a military sanatorium. At the gate, I was a bit suspicious of my wrong route. There are few directions for first-time visitors.
The set meal included a buffet, which was surprisingly good. The price was very reasonable, including scallops and shrimp, and the dishes were not sloppy.
The bathing facilities are a bit dated.

I like it very much. I come here every year. There are swimming pools, hot springs, and sand pools. It is a good place to save money. Hahahaha. And the evening session is very cost-effective. You can enter the venue when the sun is about to set. After playing in the pool for a while, you can go to the hot spring. It's so comfortable.

I've been here for over a decade and it's been fantastic! So, I brought my family back. Dozens of hot springs are nestled into the hillside, including an infinity pool that blends seamlessly with the blue sky. Several bathing pools offer sweeping views of Tianmu Lake, a verdant landscape. Each has its own unique style, including milk baths, red wine baths, fish baths, nine traditional Chinese medicine baths, and a slate hot spring bed. The water temperature is generally around 40 degrees Celsius, a comfortable and pleasant ambiance. Choose your favorite bath based on your preferences and physical condition.
I don't like crowds, so I chose a weekday afternoon to take a hot spring bath. I've been to many hot springs, each with its own characteristics. The water in the hot spring halfway up the mountain is clean. Although it is open-air, there are no debris or fallen leaves. There are poker and mahjong in the hot spring pool on the mountainside, and you can invite three or five friends to have fun while taking a hot spring bath. Many hot spring pools on the mountain overlook the scenery of Tianmu Lake, with a wide view or quiet and comfortable. It's super comfortable to make a pot of tea. The waiters I met along the way were also enthusiastic and proactive, especially Zhang Liuji, who had been patrolling and cleaning up the sundries at several hot spring pools. Last week, I finally paused from the relentless KPIs and subway crowds and drove to the Donghai Forest Hot Springs, recommended countless times by Xiaohongshu. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations; I just wanted a place to relax. Unexpectedly, those two short days turned out to be the most rewarding "self-investment" I've made this year.
Diving into the Forest's "Hot Water Embrace"
As soon as I changed into my swimsuit and opened the door to the outdoor area, I instantly understood what a "fairyland" meant.
The hot spring pools are dotted throughout the lush trees. They aren't the usual large, formal pools, but rather intimate and intimate. I chose one tucked away by a bamboo grove and slid in.
