We booked a private guided tour of the "A Meeting Across a Thousand Years" exhibition at the Hunan Provincial Museum. Guide Wu Jin led us through the secrets of Mawangdui, providing an engaging and entertaining explanation. The two hours flew by. The Mawangdui exhibits at the Hunan Provincial Museum are meticulously designed, and the exhibition halls are large and fantastic.
The teacher explained things patiently and in detail. Although there were a lot of people, they always managed to find a gap for us to squeeze in. This trip was very rewarding. I have real respect for the ancients from two thousand years ago. It would be worth bringing my kids here again for another experience.

Orange Isle is a famous scenic spot in Changsha, known for its Mao Zedong Youth Statue and the Xiangjiang River scenery. This was our first stop in Changsha, accompanying my elderly relatives. We bought night cruise tickets and a mini-train in advance through Ctrip. We took Metro Line 2 to Orange Isle, then transferred to the mini-train to take photos at the head of the isle. We arrived at the pier half an hour early to board the cruise. The entire trip took 70 minutes, and the Xiangjiang River light show was fantastic! 👍
The night view was absolutely stunning, the boat ticket was definitely worth it, and the staff at Orange Isle were incredibly helpful. Even after I took the mini-train out of the scenic area, they took me back to the Orange Isle pier. Thank you so much! 🙏

From Dengjiang Pavilion, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Xiangjiang River and Yuelu Mountain, a truly magnificent sight. The architecture is grand and resonates with the poems of Du Fu, reflecting a rich cultural heritage. Whether viewed by day or night, the scenery is unforgettable, making it a must-see landmark in Changsha.

Based on my own experience, if you're not physically fit, you really should enter from the South Gate and exit from the East Gate. First, visit Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, and Ancient Lushan Temple at the South Gate, then return to the South Gate sightseeing bus stop to take the sightseeing bus up the mountain. Once you reach the top, take the cable car or sightseeing bus down from the East Gate.
Yuelu Mountain feels like a must-see attraction in Changsha, and Aiwan Pavilion is a must-see view. Take a taxi to the South Gate of Yuelu Mountain, where you can see the statue of Chairman Mao; taking photos with the statue is a common activity in Changsha. This area is the campus of Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, and Central South University. You can take photos of Hunan University's Red Building. Climbing the steps leads to University Road, lined with many Hunan specialty foods. Currently, it's early November, the chrysanthemum season, and there's a small chrysanthemum exhibition inside. Further along, towards Aiwan Pavilion, you'll see many people taking photos; it's a popular spot for Instagrammers. Aiwan Pavilion is one of China's four famous pavilions, beautiful both from afar and up close. However, the maple leaves probably won't turn red until late November or early December. Just take a look and that's enough. Then, return and buy an electric cart to go up and down from the South Gate; it's mainly for viewing the scenery at the top of the mountain, lacking in entertainment value. Perhaps taking the cable car to the East Gate would offer a better panoramic view. Overall, Yuelu Mountain, as a 5A scenic area, offers free admission, which seems grand. However, smaller attractions still charge admission based on personal preference. I feel that university students in the vicinity are particularly fortunate.

We spent eight hours there and still couldn't get enough. The facilities are new, the scenery is beautiful, there aren't many people, the lines aren't long, there are shows to watch, and the food is affordable. Hunan TV is right next to it, and when we got out at almost 10 pm, we still had food at Pizza Hut, and it was only 40 yuan per person, plus gifts. I highly recommend planning a full day with your kids to have fun!

Our friends had a blast! We were very satisfied with the accommodations in Taxkorgan County, and the vehicle was comfortable – a truly unforgettable trip. Our driver, Mr. Zhao, was a super nice young man; he drove smoothly and even gave us a complimentary drone for aerial photography.
Changsha's only above-ground historical monument is a must-see! It's a shame I couldn't reach the summit because the third floor was under repair! But it's a good omen! I hope you keep striving and keep climbing!

The night view of Changsha is truly beautiful. The temperature was a bit low at night, and it was a little chilly sitting on the top floor. However, I gained a lot from the experience. As the boat slowly set sail, I could clearly feel the unique beauty of the city. Although it didn't have the same charm as my previous trip to Chengdu, where I cruised the Jinjiang River with its numerous shops and lanterns, the tranquility only enhanced the city's distinctive beauty. In short, I had a very enjoyable trip to Changsha.
The cruise is a long journey, so be prepared... The train will notify you to get off at the second stop. If you're not pressed for time, consider not getting off at this stop, as you'll have to walk to the West Pier. The problem is, there's a long line back home after the boat ride, and you'll have to wait for the train there (the East Pier has a long wait for a free train). The recommended route is to get off at the statue, then take the train (the line is long) to the West Pier to board the ship. Then, take the train back out (no lines at this stop).

The underwater world is very fun. There are different animals, different performances, and many recreational projects. Feel the difference. Wear beautiful clothes in summer to take pictures. 📸📸📸📸
This is the best show I've ever seen. The explanation is very professional. The Tuan Tuan from Ocean World is super cute. The trainer is also great. I bought VIP seats to watch the show and the experience was amazing! ! ! I also had my passport stamped. I had a lot of fun. I would also come to the night show if I had the chance. It's cool and fun.

The room price is very reasonable, the hotel environment is clean and tidy with no unpleasant odors, and there is WIFI coverage throughout the room. The room offers a beautiful river view with a wide field of vision and a pleasant environment. There is also a full-length mirror and a vanity mirror in the room. The owner is friendly and helpful. It's very close to the subway, Wuyi Square, and Huangxing Middle Road. It's an excellent choice for travel accommodation. Don't panic if you get lost; just call the owner.
When Li Zijian's art exhibition was held in Shanghai in 2012, I attended his autograph session and thought then that I would like to see his exhibition again if I had the chance. Later, I heard that he had built his own art museum in Changsha, and I had always wanted to visit it. This trip to Changsha was definitely worthwhile. I was able to appreciate his paintings full of human love once again.

Tongguan Kiln National Style Park offers good value for money. I recommend their flight simulator, the Black Stone Stunt Show, and the evening iron-smelting performance. Some traditional plays are also worth watching, such as ancient magic tricks and flower drum opera. It's best to stay at one of their guesthouses on Saturday, spend one night, and enjoy the park for two days.
It's not far from downtown Changsha; you can get there by subway and then taxi. However, the scenic area wasn't crowded, and the shops at the entrance were all closed. The night view and the performances within the scenic area were quite good; it would be even better if it were more lively.
