This time, I took my mom to visit the Shanghu Scenic Area in Changshu. The area is quite large, and you need to take a tour bus to visit various attractions. The floating forest is worth seeing, with beautiful fir trees in the water and flocks of egrets playing in the water. We took a bamboo raft to float on the water, but the route is not very long and requires a separate ticket. The area also offers rafting, which is great for families, so I recommend buying a raincoat. Buying a package ticket that includes all the activities is more affordable.

Shanghu Scenic Area is no different from an ordinary large park, without any special features. It is a good place to take the elderly for a walk and the scenery is quite nice. The tickets are not expensive and are half price for those over 65 years old.

Walking into Shanghu Scenic Area, Taigong Island is the first stop to welcome tourists. The simple architectural style and the statue of Jiang Taigong tell the origin of Shanghu and Jiang Shang culture. The 139 longevity characters of various shapes on the Changshou Bridge seem to tell the legend of Taigong&#39;s longevity. Here, you can feel the thickness of ancient culture and the precipitation of history.
Fushui Villa is a private garden in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, witnessing the legendary love story of Qian Qianyi and Liu Rushi. Here, the eight scenes of Fushui, such as Couple Farming Hall and Huaxin Tower, are scattered and simple and elegant. Walking in the villa, it seems that you can hear the whispers of talented men and beautiful women, and feel the romance across time and space.

This season is not the best time to go to Shanghu Lake, but children are only free during winter and summer vacations. However, there are also ways to play in summer. In the hottest month of August, I set foot on Yushan, a land full of poetry and vitality, and started an unforgettable journey.

As soon as I arrived at the foot of Yushan, the fresh air that hit my face instantly dispelled the heat and made me feel relaxed and happy. Climbing along the winding mountain road, there are green trees on both sides, and the lush branches and leaves are intertwined, supporting a natural pergola for me. The sun shines through the gaps between the leaves, forming golden spots of light. When the breeze blows, the spots of light also sway with it, like a dream.

On the way, I encountered Lianzhu Cave. Standing at the entrance of the cave, a cool air hits my face, which is in sharp contrast to the heat outside the cave. Walking into the cave, I saw a skylight on the top of the cave. The sun shines through the skylight, illuminating the stone wall in the cave. The texture on the stone wall looks more mysterious under the light and shadow. At this time, bursts of crisp bird calls came to my ears, as if it was a wonderful piece of music played by nature, which made me intoxicated.

After a long climb, we finally reached the top of the mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking far into the distance, the whole Changshu city is in sight. The Shang Lake in the distance is like a huge mirror, sparkling under the sunlight. On the lake, there are many cruise ships, outlining a peaceful and beautiful picture. The mountain breeze gently brushes my face, taking away the fatigue of climbing, and my heart is full of joy and pride after conquering the mountain.

Yushan in August is a cool treasure gifted by nature. Here, I feel the magic and charm of nature, and also experience the fun and meaning of climbing. This trip is not only a physical exercise, but also a spiritual baptism. The beautiful scenery of Yushan has been deeply imprinted in my heart.

It was around 2pm to 3pm before we reached the foot of Yushan Mountain. We climbed to the top of the mountain in one breath, visited the core attractions, and then went down the mountain and walked along the 8.88km Eagle Line. From time to time, there would be signs with red dots showing where you were and how much of the entire route you were. There were many attractions, especially Jianmen, which was quite interesting. You passed through a very narrow mountain crack that was said to have been split open, and then walked up to a flat platform with a different world. After going down to the foot of the mountain, walk along the plastic track all the way back to the starting point. The whole journey took about two hours.

I have been to Changshu many times. I have visited most of the main attractions in Changshu, such as Yushan, Shanghu, Shajiabang, Fangta Garden, and Yanyuan. Among them, I have a special liking for Yushan.
Yushan National Forest Park is adjacent to Shanghu. Climbing Yushan and looking at Shanghu, the scenery of lakes and mountains is extremely beautiful. There are also many cultural and historical sites here.
At the eastern foot of Yushan is the Tomb of Zhongyong, which is the oldest ancient tomb in Changshu with historical verification, dating back about 3,000 years. Taibo and Zhongyong, sons of Zhou Taiwang Gugongfu, gave up their country and came south, and they are the ancestors of Wu culture. There is also the Tomb of Yanzi nearby. Yanzi, whose name is Yan and whose courtesy name is Ziyou, is from Changshu and is the only southerner among Confucius&#39; three thousand disciples. Yanzi returned to the south after completing his studies and opened the way to the southeast, and was respected as the &quot;Southern Master&quot;.
There is also Xingfu Temple, which I have visited several times. Xingfu Temple, also known as Poshan Temple, is located at the foot of the northern ridge of Yushan Mountain. It is known as one of the four famous temples in Jiangnan (Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, Tianning Temple in Changzhou, and Xingfu Temple in Changshu).
