I went on August 13th and waited in line for the cable car for an hour and a half. It was unbearable 😣... I bought my ticket on Ctrip. Remember, I must go to the cable car ticket window to get my paper ticket before lining up!!! On a sunny day, the cable car offers a stunning view of Erhai Lake in Dali. There's a very high section, so those afraid of heights should keep their eyes closed. The one-way trip takes about 15 minutes.
Cangshan Mountain in Dali is so beautiful! The Gantong Cableway is great value for money. Along the way, you can see the Cangshan pine forest and overlook Erhai Lake. It's spectacular! The squirrels on Cangshan Mountain are so fat and love to eat potato chips 😁

[August Xizhou Ancient Town: In the rice fields and Bai customs, meet the romance of summer] August Xizhou Ancient Town is a treasure land filled with greenery and fireworks! Less than half an hour's drive from the ancient city of Dali, just got off the bus and was surprised by the endless rice fields at the entrance of the village. The green rice waves undulating with the wind, and some egrets passed by. The blue sky and white clouds lined the white tiles and white walls of the Bai people's houses. No wonder everyone runs here with their cameras. Time in the ancient town is very slow. The stone road is winding and twisting, and there are intact Bai old houses on both sides. The darts and the carved doors and windows are all exquisite. Walking in is like breaking into the time museum. The key point is to praise the Yanjia Courtyard, not only to see the exquisiteness of Bai architecture, but also to understand the history of Xizhou business gangs. The pomegranate trees in the yard are full of fruits, especially the atmosphere of life. In August, just in time for the local fruit peak season! The roadside stalls are full of yellow figs, sweet grapes, and freshly picked blueberries, affordable and fresh. Of course, Xizhou is indispensable. It is recommended to bake sweet mouths (rose filling) and salted mouths (pork end), the outer skin is crispy and the inner is soft, with a cup of milk fan Shaqima, and the carbide is happy to be directly full. I found a small shop by the river and sat down to eat, watched the flowing water, listened to the locals chatting in dialect. It's so pleasant. In the afternoon, you can rent a bicycle to ride along the rice fields, blow the wind through the fields, pass the villagers' vegetable fields and ponds, and feel the most simple pastoral scenery. In the evening, the light on the edge of the rice field became soft, taking pictures with filters, and many newcomers took wedding photos here, which was very romantic. The only thing to note is that it is a bit sun-dried in the afternoon of August, remember to do a good job of sun protection; there are a little more tourists on the main street of the ancient town, but you can find a cleanliness when you turn into the alley, suitable for slowly shaking. Overall, Xizhou does not have the hustle and bustle of Dali Ancient City, but has more idyllic and humanistic heritage. Come here in August, like putting the beauty of the whole summer in your hands, recommend it to friends who want to slow down and feel Dali ~
Well, the entire Dali Erhai Lake circle is about 80 kilometers long, and you will pass through many ancient towns in the middle, such as Xizhou Ancient Town. At the same time, there will be a lot of people renting cars, and you can also see many luxury cars. But you should pay attention to whether you choose to tour clockwise or counterclockwise. Sometimes, there will be more traffic jams in one direction.

Honestly, it's quite fun, especially taking the kids out. However, there are lines to get your tickets, pick up the car, and even get up the mountain. The driver of the mountain shuttle bus is incredibly aggressive, though, and it's much more thrilling than taking the cable car.
We came here right after getting off the train in Dali. The kids thought it was okay, the scenery was nice, and you could see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. But there were too many people, and cars couldn't get in. We waited in line for half an hour, and it was hard to get a taxi when we got out. The taxis were only available after 7:30.

The scenic spot is next to the main road, by the Erhai Lake. We drove our car and parked in the parking lot next to it. There is a beverage shop when we got off the car. The environment and scenery are beautiful, but it is a bit sunny. If you don't want to go in, you can check in from the outside without buying a ticket.
Stepping into the ideal garden of Dali is like falling into a dream. The colorful sea of flowers blooms freely, the breeze blows, the waves are flowing, and the sweet fragrance of flowers lingers on the tip of the nose. Walk along the winding path, one side is the flowing water, the other side is the rotten flowers, every step seems to walk into the oil painting. The exquisite cabin is hidden in it, and the window is a beautiful scenery. Standing at the highest point, the garden is dependent on the Bohai Sea, the sea and the sky are co-colored, the body and mind are instantly healed, and the noise of the world is thrown into the clouds.

Feeding the small animals in the Cute Pet Park was very interesting. It felt like New Zealand. It was so beautiful. The children loved it! We didn’t go to any other places except the Cute Pet Park. The tickets for the non-powered park were a bit expensive, so we didn’t go.

Stepping into the Sea Tongue Ecological Park is like breaking into a forgotten wonderland. It is located on the west bank of the Bohai Sea, a long and narrow peninsula that extends into the Bohai Sea, shaped like a smart tongue. Large areas of trees on the island grow freely, and long grass swaying with the wind, as if telling the story of belonging here alone. Along the windy path, the outline of the Bohai Sea gradually cleared. The lake was clear blue, and the sun was shining and sparkling. The mountains in the distance are continuous, and the Bohai Sea is against each other, forming a beautiful landscape picture. Everything here is full of original ecological taste, there is no too much artificial carving, some are just the purest appearance of nature, walking in it, the body and mind have been greatly healed.
If you want to go to Dali's Sea Tongue Park but haven't booked a free ticket, choosing this package can solve the problem of entry with the least money. However, the QR code cannot be scanned directly. You need to go to the gate to exchange it for a paper QR code before entering the park.

I went to Dali Cangshan Botanical Garden, and I was really crying. As soon as I entered the park, all kinds of strange flowers and plants that were not named were in sight. The air was full of the fragrance of plants. The meaty area was absolutely amazing. The meaty areas were arranged like artworks, and you can make a film with any shot. There are also cute little animals to feed, lambs and rabbits are super relatives 🐰 When you are tired, find a shade to sit down, listen to the birdsong, and enjoy a moment of tranquility. This trip is really worth it, I highly recommend everyone to come!
The environment is impeccable, the kids had a lot of fun, and the animal feeding package was super cheap, 18 yuan for a bunch of stuff. The place is not big, but the kids played for a long time just catching loaches. The only thing to note is: people who are afraid of mice should not go there, there are a lot of mice, everywhere. The overall evaluation is not full marks because of the mice. Although my adults and children are not afraid of mice, they are still scared when they suddenly jump out.

At the southern end of Erhai Lake, the first stop on a tour of the Cangshan and Erhai Scenic Area is the park. Within the park lies a small, oval-shaped hill, known locally as "Tuanshan" for its shape, and the park is also known as "Tuanshan Park." Tuanshan is famous for having served as a deer farm for the Nanzhao royal family during the Tang Dynasty. The mountain is covered in lush green pines and boasts renowned camellias, azaleas, cherries, and osmanthus trees. The summit boasts pavilions, verdant corridors, a waterside pavilion, a zoo, a teahouse, cold drink shops, and restaurants. The beachfront offers a water park, a nursery greenhouse, and a swimming pool. Climbing the stairs to the summit, the Wanghai Tower features a plaque inscribed with the words "Jade Erhai, Silver Canghai" by the renowned Chinese artist Wu Zuoren. From the pavilion's railing, one can gaze out across the vast Erhai Lake, its azure waters dotted with fishing boats and clusters of tugboats, creating a truly spectacular sight. To the east, Fengshan Mountain rises majestically, while to the west, the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stand tall like a screen. The ancient city of Dali, along with the pagoda of Hongsheng Temple in the south and the three pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in the north, are faintly visible. White marble carvings of red deer and goats by the seaside are eye-catching, while willows and lush green grass line the shore.
Dali Bohai Park is a good place for nature and humanities. Step into the park, the sparkling scenery of Bohai Sea has a panoramic view, the lake is clear, the breeze is blowing, it is refreshing. The lakeside is shaded by trees and flowers are in full bloom, strolling around it, as if you are in a picture scroll. There are also many leisure facilities in the park, which is a good place for tourists and local residents to relax.

The gardens are beautifully landscaped, nestled at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and near Erhai Lake. A truly wonderful experience. There's no entrance fee, and the 98 yuan price includes six freshly made flower cakes and a pot of rose tea.
Families, come to Dali must go to the Rose Manor for a lifetime! As soon as I entered the manor, the large sea of flowers was super shocking, and the fragrance of roses was straight. I experienced making flower cakes, the staff was super patient and taught them by hand. The flower cakes made by myself are crispy on the outer skin and sweet on the inside. Photographs here are also great, Hobbit cabins, Fu Cubans, any shot is good-looking. There are also cute alpacas to interact, it is really fun, don't miss it when you come to Dali!

You must go to the Ocean World when you come to Dali! Once you enter, it's like falling into a blue fairy tale, with marine life everywhere, cute and wonderful. The mermaid and dolphin performances are amazing, with agile postures and super interesting interactions. There is also a super beautiful jellyfish palace, which is breathtakingly beautiful under the lights. I wandered there for a long time. It was not only fun, but I also learned a lot of marine knowledge. It's really worth it. Don't miss it when you come to Dali!
It can't be compared with the Ocean World in coastal cities, but it's a good place for children to learn about real marine life in the inland. There are three floors, and you can basically see all the venues in an hour. The performances include mermaid (diving) performances, sea lion and dolphin performances. The time can be seen in the picture. The performance content is not bad, but the duration is a bit short.
