Yungang Grottoes feel so-so, it may be the reason that most of the grottoes are in the building. The light is dim and it feels very general, so many grottoes are not visited because of the queue. The open-air Buddha has no spectacular Longmen Grottoes.

The recommended route is to enter from the north gate, walk down the mountain trail to visit the geological park, and then take a horse carriage, electric car, cable car, or small train to go out. If you enter from the south gate, you will take the small train first, then walk down the mountain on the wooden plank road, and then go out by electric car, horse carriage, or cable car. The scenery of the walking part is very good. If you only take small transportation, the sightseeing experience is not high, anyway, the cable car is mainly uphill
We caught up with the showers, but fortunately it didn't affect our visit to the scenic area. The package was worth it because the scenic area was very large and we used a combination of various transportation methods during the tour: sightseeing cars, animal-powered cars, small trains, shuttle buses, cable cars...
