Highly recommend the gold medal tour guide Wang Gang! 8 big and 2 small tours Yungang Grottoes, the whole 3 hours explained super meticulously. He brought the history story of the grotto and the development veins to the road, vivid and interesting, answer all questions, and help take pictures. Adults and children can hear it. The whole process is not boring, full of knowledge, let the millennium art treasures live alive, the experience is full, it is a perfect cultural journey!
Yungang Grottoes feel so-so, it may be the reason that most of the grottoes are in the building. The light is dim and it feels very general, so many grottoes are not visited because of the queue. The open-air Buddha has no spectacular Longmen Grottoes.

I bought a full package ticket for 295 yuan, which is not cheap. It includes all small transportation to save legs, but does not include various recreational facilities in the scenic area. The recommended route is to enter from the north gate, walk down the mountain trail to visit the geological park, and then take a horse carriage, electric car, cable car, or small train to go out. If you enter from the south gate, you will take the small train first, then walk down the mountain on the wooden plank road, and then go out by electric car, horse carriage, or cable car. The scenery of the walking part is very good. If you only take small transportation, the sightseeing experience is not high, anyway, the cable car is mainly uphill
We caught up with the showers, but fortunately it didn't affect our visit to the scenic area. The package was worth it because the scenic area was very large and we used a combination of various transportation methods during the tour: sightseeing cars, animal-powered cars, small trains, shuttle buses, cable cars... It saved a lot of energy. I especially had to watch a performance of "Meeting at Aobao", which was wonderful.

Xiangsha Bay is so beautiful! There is also a young lady guide to lead the play. I thought that there was no guide to charter the car. I actually assigned a guide, and it was cheaper to help us buy tickets. I only said two words back and forth 109. The guide is called Miss Gulisi. She is so cute and speaks.
Take the children to the desert to feel the scenery that you have never seen before. The overall planning of the scenic spot is very good. All kinds of entertainment activities are also very interesting. I recommend everyone to try Bigfoot or desert off-road vehicles!

The three major chitas in the world, Yingxian wooden tower is a treasure left by history for future generations, the scene is shocking, but also regrettable, maybe this is history, irreversible to cherish possession.
❗❗ Yingxian wooden tower is like a giant Lego, the 67-meter tower does not need a nail, and 54 kinds of bucket arches have played a big role. With the perspective, the breathing of the millennium wooden tower seems to penetrate the paper.

Master Zhang arrived at the agreed hotel 10 minutes in advance. He drove smoothly and the car was very clean. He enthusiastically introduced us to the Hanging Temple, Yuanjue Temple, Yong'an Zen Temple, Wooden Pagoda, and Pure Land Temple along the way. After visiting the scenic spots, he picked us up to go to another scenic spot. It was very reassuring! Friends who come to Datong for tourism can rest assured to choose him~
If you drive there by yourself, park your car at the tourist center first, and then take the shuttle bus to the scenic area. If you want to climb the temple, you need to pay 100 yuan per person and queue for 2 hours.

The temple architecture combines three styles of Han, Mongolian and Tibetan, reflecting the collision of grassland civilization and multiculturalism at that time. The architectural community in the temple is scattered and well-leveled, and every detail is handled very delicately. It shows the ingenious work of ancient craftsmen. It is worth a visit!
The Buddha statue is exquisite and spectacular, the location is excellent, the overall scale is not large, and it can be visited for an hour. Next to it is the old street, there are many snacks and small commodities, and there is a white tower next to the temple, suitable for taking pictures. But the staff at the gate service is average. I took the QR code and wanted to check the ticket at the gate. The aunt said that the electronic ticket had to go to the manual ticket office next to it to pick up the ticket. I went to the ticket office and said that I could check the ticket directly at the gate. . . . . .

The stone age found and excavated human fossils in Datong, Neolithic fine stone tools and ceramic pieces. Among them, exquisite stone cones, stone clusters, stone, stone axes, stone sputum, etc., there are Yungang Grottoes, hanging temples, etc.
I came to the ancient city of Datong with a long history and started a journey through time and space. Walking into the ancient city, the ancient city wall came into view. It was tall and majestic, as if telling the vicissitudes of thousands of years. The bricks and stones on the city wall were mottled by the years, but they were still solid, which made people respect the wisdom and skills of ancient craftsmen. Walking along the city wall, there was a bluestone road under my feet, and quaint buildings on both sides, as if I had returned to the time hundreds of years ago. Passing through the ancient streets and alleys, we came to Huayan Temple. The temple was filled with incense and the Buddha statues were solemn and sacred, which made people feel a sense of tranquility and solemnity. The architectural style in the temple is simple and elegant, and every detail reveals a deep cultural heritage. Walking through it, it seems that you can hear the echo of history. Then, we came to Datong's iconic building-Nine Dragon Wall. The Nine Dragon Wall is colorful, and the nine dragons are lifelike, as if they will take off at any time. They are shining in the sun, showing the exquisiteness and splendor of ancient craftsmanship. Datong Ancient City not only has ancient buildings, but also has rich food. We tasted Datong jelly, knife-cut noodles and other special snacks in the ancient city. They were delicious and memorable. This trip to Datong Ancient City made me feel the weight of history and the charm of culture. It was as if I touched the traces of time, and it also made me love this ancient land even more.

The pleasant scenery makes people calm down quickly. I went to the Manjusri Pavilion, my natal Bodhisattva, on purpose. I looked up at the Bodhisattva and felt inexplicably moved. I made a wish, and I will definitely come back to fulfill it if it comes true.
I really like the murals here. The murals in each hall are very beautiful. Although it is repaired, the art level of the craftsman is really admired. Datong is really a place worth repetitive taste.

Yanmen Pass is half of China's history. There are too many epic historical stories here, among which the Yang Family Generals are the most well-known. Standing on the majestic wall of Yanmen Pass, looking out of the pass, recalling the heroic epic of defending the country, seven sons left and one returned, giving up their small families for faith, cherishing peace, and looking forward to a world without war.
Yanmen Pass, the first pass in China, is the throat of the Central Plains to the northern frontier. It is worth a visit. There is a stage at the gate of the city, where people perform operas. You can ride a horse from Mingyue Tower to the Yanmen Pass Tower or ride down the mountain. My daughter was very happy to experience riding down the mountain. You can beat the war drum for free when you go up to the tower.

One of the Five Mountains, the one with the lowest presence among the Five Mountains. I had low expectations before coming here. After the tour, I think it is OK, with a heavy history and acceptable scenery. I just feel that there are still some flaws in the scenic area, such as the shuttle bus. Our navigation showed that the parking lot of the scenic area was OK, but when we arrived, we were not allowed to enter. We had to walk and could not take the shuttle bus. We had to go to the tourist service center again. It is recommended that the tourist service center increase parking spots and open the parking lot inside appropriately. There is a parking lot in the scenic area where you can park.
Hengshan Mountain has both narrow and broad meanings. The narrow Hengshan Mountain is the so-called "Northern Peak Hengshan Mountain", also known as "Tai Hengshan Mountain". It was called Xuanwu Mountain, Gang Mountain, Gaoshi Mountain, Xuanyue Mountain, etc. in ancient times. It was identified as the Northern Peak Hengshan Mountain of the "Five Mountains" in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. It is located 10 kilometers south of Hunyuan County, Shanxi Province. The main peak, Tianfengling, has an altitude of 2017 meters[63], some say 2016.1 meters[62][65], and some say 2016.8 meters[1]. It is known as the "Northern Pillar of Heaven and Earth" and "Famous Mountain in the Frontier". The broad Hengshan Mountain, or Hengshan Mountain Range, is the general name for a series of peaks between the Sanggan River and the Hutuo River in the southeast of Datong City, Shanxi Province and the south of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It extends roughly in a southwest-northeast direction, is about 300 kilometers long from east to west, and about 80 kilometers wide from north to south. The highest peak is Mantou Mountain on the border of Shanyin County and Ying County, with an altitude of 2426 meters.
