Worth a visit, the karst landscape is quite unique. The route is very complex, and surprisingly, there's no panoramic map, and the signage for attractions is minimal.
I don't think it's necessary to hire a guide at the entrance. Most guides, to save time, only take you along the main route, skipping all the side paths. You can actually explore on your own at your own pace; it's not complicated. The trick is to just follow the man-made paths, and you'll be fine.
Shilin Yi Autonomous County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, covers a total area of approximately 350 square kilometers, with karst landforms covering more than 1,100 square kilometers. Formed during the Paleozoic karst process 270 million years ago, it is one of the lowest latitude and highest altitude karst landforms in the Northern Hemisphere.

This is a worthwhile attraction in Xishuangbanna, highly recommended. After all, it's a 5A-level scenic spot. It's also very convenient to get there by car.
Definitely take the sightseeing bus. Enter through the West Gate. Don't ask why! The whole trip took more than three hours.
To save time and effort, we booked the official guided tour package plus no-queue access. Although many plants at the Chinese Academy of Sciences had labels, the guide explained the knowledge about various plants in a more in-depth and easy-to-understand way, which was very helpful. The guide, Sister Moon, was especially patient and could handle the endless questions from the children. We didn't have to queue at all during the bus ride, which sped up the trip and saved us more time. Sister Moon even took us to find fruit seeds, making for a great experience for both adults and children.

The snow mountain trip was well worth it, and I successfully checked off 4680!
The itinerary was well-planned and offered a good amount of freedom. My travel companions were also very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. It was a slight disappointment that we couldn't see the sunrise over the snow-capped peaks due to the weather, but the scenery was still perfect enough. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain!

The hotel boasts a great location, just a two-minute walk from Haigeng Park. The staff are courteous, attentive, and professional. Nestled amidst mountains and water, the hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hotel itself features charming bridges, flowing water, and meticulously maintained vegetation, creating picturesque views at every turn. The rooms are well-equipped, with separate shower and toilet areas, and thoughtful touches throughout – a true four-star hotel. Special thanks to Manager Li at the front desk for recommending and assisting us with our upgrade to a private hot spring lake-view king room, which was absolutely wonderful!
On November 14th, I visited Dianchi Lake. In the morning, I went to the Haigeng Dam to observe flocks of red-billed gulls. The crowds feeding them were endless, creating a spectacular scene perfect for taking photos. Taking the Yunnan Dianchi Cableway up Xishan Mountain offered panoramic views of Dianchi Lake. The Kunming Botanical Garden in Panlong District has a 10 RMB entrance fee plus an 80 RMB fee for the Fuli Palace. Although the journey is long, it's highly worthwhile.

Dongfengyun is named after Dongfeng Farm. There's a historical exhibition inside that's worth visiting. It would be very beautiful during the flower season, but by early November there aren't many flowers left. Honestly, the 80 yuan entrance fee isn't really worth it.
I took different friends to Dongfengyun three times in one year, so I really enjoyed it! For some reason, the electric car station in the park is now far away, not at the park entrance. You have to walk to the other side of the lake (the other side in Figure 4) and back. And you don't pass by other attractions; you travel completely outside the scenic area! I chose an electric car with the elderly because it would be easier, but it turned out to be worse than walking around the park! So I recommend that young people just walk, or ask where the pick-up point is when buying an electric car ticket!

Wild Elephant Valley was alright. We followed the travel guide on Ctrip, but didn't eat there. However, we did feed the elephants, so the experience was decent. Those who haven't tried it should give it a go. The butterfly exhibit was truly amazing, making it worth the trip. The rest of the area is similar to a zoo. Those who like flowers and plants might have a different experience; personally, I'm not a big fan of flowers and plants.
Although we didn't see any wild elephants, we were still very happy to see the domesticated Asian elephants. The educational performances at the elephant school were especially adorable, and the elephant dining hall allowed for a close-up view, which was a great interactive experience. The availability of tourist buses to Gaozhuang was also very convenient.

The view from the mountaintop was decent, but the staff at the Zhonghe cable car station were incredibly rude. We came here to have fun, not to owe them money. Who are they trying to fool with their attitude? I suggest they make improvements.

The miniature landscape park is quite large; you can easily walk through it in three hours. I recommend going as soon as the park opens, as many shows are combined at the beginning and become more scattered later, making it difficult to see everything. If you're short on time, it's not necessary to force yourself to go.
The park is huge! It's best to plan your time in advance. You can also take a sightseeing bus; the driver will take you around the park and direct you to the corresponding area based on the free performance times for different tribes and ethnic groups. This visit taught me a lot about the different ethnic groups! Highly recommended! I suggest bringing children.

Of all the places I visited in Xishuangbanna, this was the most satisfying. The scenery was beautiful, and one of the actors there even looked a bit like Li Qin. I recommend bringing extra clothes if you go in the morning, as it can get a bit chilly in the mountains. Also, don't take the sightseeing bus; hiking up and down the mountain in half an hour is very easy, and the natural oxygen bar in the mountains is much better for your health.
Take the shuttle bus back and forth to save your energy for the rainforest inside. There are shops selling goods at the rainforest entrance; when there are performances outside, walk through the shops to enter the rainforest and avoid the crowds. It's less crowded and quieter inside. There's a small intangible cultural heritage museum next to the entrance/exit that's worth a visit.

Yunnan's hospitality is ingrained in its DNA. It's so beautiful and fun! We happened to catch the Water Splashing Festival, and joining everyone in the fun was incredibly enjoyable! Dai clothing and water splashing equipment are available for sale nearby, and there's also plenty of delicious food to enjoy!
The Dai Park is quite large, with many Dai villages integrated into one. Be sure to plan your visit carefully, as you won't be able to visit many areas after closing time!
The dance performances inside were very professional, and there were many peacocks to take pictures of. We found a restaurant to have lunch, the food was pretty good, and it was not far to walk in. The atmosphere of the water splashing activity was very lively, and it was worth a visit.
