Niu Shou Mountain Scenic Area is a relatively popular scenic spot in Nanjing in recent years. It is mainly based on the newly built Buddha's Top Pagoda and Underground Palace at a cost of 4 billion yuan. It is also one of the itineraries that many tour groups focus on.
The gate of the park is quite far from the scenic spot. This is the same as most scenic spots in China. The gate of the scenic spot is getting farther and farther away. It is really tiring to walk without a shuttle bus. For the Buddha's Top Pagoda, my personal feeling is average. It is relatively newly built. After walking around behind the tower, I really can't see any outstanding scenery. For the Underground Palace, it is indeed newly built. Because the scenic spot is not allowed to light incense, you will smell a strong sandalwood scent after entering the Underground Palace, revealing this luxury. There are performances on the first floor of the Underground Palace at fixed times. It can't be said to be very exciting. There is a feeling of helping dance at the Pantao Conference. The lingering sound is very artistic.
In the depths of the underground palace, I was really shocked. I can only say that if you spend too much money, it will inevitably produce results. There are all kinds of worship, but it is not convenient to take pictures. After all, it is also a Buddhist holy place. But after a closer look, they are all newly built, which is indescribably awkward. The main reason is that there is no smell of incense, only sandalwood, and a little less fireworks.
Overall, it is a highly recommended scenic spot and a must-visit place when traveling to Nanjing. Not only can you worship Buddha, but you can also see what is the most expensive man-made temple.
