A natural oxygen bar, Route A involved navigating a winding mountain road with 99 bends and taking 12 elevator rides. Taking the west route first and then the east route was much easier, mostly downhill. The entire route took about 7 hours.
Even though the cable car route was changed, it didn't affect our experience. From luggage storage to VIP tour guides, everything reflected the meticulous attention to detail of a 5A scenic area. The entire journey was smooth and enjoyable, making it a wonderful day.

The scenery at Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area is beautiful, but you need to make a reservation every day to enter. The morning slots are usually quite limited, and the queue for the elevator can take more than an hour. The tourist map is not very clear, so you might end up taking a wrong turn.
If you're not a young, active traveler, and your physical fitness is average, you're not too concerned about cost-effectiveness, and you don't need to see all the attractions, I recommend two days. Of course, arriving a day earlier and staying near the East Gate is ideal. On the first day, it's best to arrive before 8 am to avoid tour groups. The mountain attractions include Tianzi Mountain, Laowuchang, Yangjiajie, and Yuanjiajie. I strongly suggest only visiting Laowuchang and Yuanjiajie. Tianzi Mountain has too many tour groups, resulting in a poor experience. Yangjiajie requires a hike to and from Wulong Mountain Village, and while the scenery is beautiful, it's nearly 5 kilometers and can be physically challenging. The reason for choosing Laowuchang is simple: fewer people and a superior experience. Yuanjiajie is the essence of the experience and a must-see. The first day's attractions cover the highlights of the mountain; the next day will cover the highlights of both the upper and lower sections. On the second day, choosing the Ten-Mile Gallery and Golden Whip Stream is sufficient. For the Ten-Mile Gallery, it's best to hike in and then take the mini-train out. This avoids the crowds, as most tourists choose to take the train, resulting in long queues. The walking experience is far superior to the train ride. You could consider taking the train to save energy. There are many monkeys in Jinbian Stream, and the one-way trip is 5 kilometers, so there's no need to walk the whole way.

When we went, there were very few people, and the weather was great. It was raining down below, but when we reached the top of the mountain, the sky cleared up, and we saw a fairyland. So, when going to Fanjingshan, don't give up because of bad weather. Maybe a miracle will happen at the last moment. Stay in one place for a while and don't leave immediately, because your time there can change in an instant.
The long-awaited holy land finally arrived today! Absolutely amazing! We even bumped into some Hong Kong aunties and uncles along the way – that was incredible too! You don't know what "perilous" means until you've been here. The weather was great, sunny and bright, and I was in a great mood! Hahahaha, come on, friends!

The wonders of nature are definitely worth seeing. There are elevators to go down, and shuttle buses between scenic areas are also very convenient. However, the crevice area is a bit slippery and difficult to walk on, with many steps along the way, so the elderly should be careful.

The Yangtze River Cableway is a unique scenic route connecting Yuzhong District and Nan'an District in Chongqing. Stretching approximately 1160 meters, it's not just a means of transportation, but also a superb way to experience the charm of this mountain city. Riding it offers panoramic views of the Yangtze River and the diverse architecture on both banks, providing a visual feast that changes day and night. From the air, you can overlook the magnificent scenery of Chongqing. Below you, the surging Yangtze River displays the immense power of nature; on both banks, the city's unique mountain landscape unfolds, with skyscrapers and ancient buildings complementing each other, creating a dialogue between history and modernity.
With its layered mountains in the distance and the rolling river nearby, Chongqing offers visitors a unique aerial perspective to appreciate its natural landscape and cultural heritage. The hour-long queue is well worth the five-minute cable car ride.

My local friends highly recommended visiting the Chongqing Zoo. Upon entering, we were immediately drawn to the numerous panda enclosures. We were incredibly lucky; we saw pandas eating bamboo, playing with toys, wandering around, and soundly sleeping… There were so many pandas outdoors, and we could get up close to them, it was almost hard to leave. The other animals were more standard: elephants, giraffes, gibbons, white tigers, lions, pythons, lizards… Overall, the zoo isn't small; we easily walked over 10,000 steps…
I love the wormhole! This is my second visit to Chongqing Zoo, thanks to my panda-themed trip! Compared to other zoos, Chongqing Zoo is very considerate; you can see almost every panda in its best condition. I really enjoy it!

A trip to Enshi Grand Canyon is a feast for both the eyes and the soul! Stepping into the scenic area, the cliffside corridor is thrilling and exciting; walking along it, with a sheer drop below and bizarrely shaped peaks and rocks beside you, every step is exhilarating and heart-pounding. Yunlong Ground Fissure resembles a crack in the earth, deep and mysterious, with cascading waterfalls and misty spray, creating a refreshing and pleasant atmosphere. In the Qixingzhai Scenic Area, a single incense stick stands proudly among the peaks, remaining steadfast despite thousands of years of wind and rain, inspiring awe at the wonders of nature. The scenery along the way is picturesque, with lush greenery and fresh air, like being in a natural oxygen bar. The scenic area's service is attentive and thoughtful, with enthusiastic staff providing guidance, and efficient transportation ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
As the sun sets, the distant mountains appear dark and the nearby ridges are adorned with vibrant colors. At this moment, tourists gradually dwindle, and only the sounds of wind and birdsong can be heard. The entire valley seems to fall into tranquility. Leaning on the railing and gazing into the distance, one suddenly feels all the burdens in one's heart vanish, and one becomes one with the world around us.

The following is a travel blogger-style introduction to the highlights and recommended reasons for visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan. I hope it will help you attract more followers and likes. [Fenghuang Ancient Town, Hunan: A Timeless Treasure, a Dreamland Worth Every Traveler's Stop] When many people think of Hunan, they might first think of the grotesque peaks and rocks of Zhangjiajie or the ancient charm of Yueyang Tower. Fenghuang Ancient Town, however, offers a beautiful journey through time, allowing you to experience rich ethnic customs and historical heritage amidst its quaint streets and alleys. This ancient town in western Hunan attracts countless visitors with its unique charm. Today, let me take you deeper into the highlights of Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan and explain why it's worth every traveler's careful experience. 1. The Ancient Town's Historical Charm and Architectural Style Founded during the Ming and Qing dynasties, Fenghuang Ancient Town's well-preserved ancient buildings showcase the traditional architectural style of western Hunan. With its whitewashed tiles and white walls, carved wooden doors and windows, and stilt-style dwellings, it feels like a living historical scroll. Strolling through the old streets and alleys along the Tuojiang River, you can feel the tranquility and solemnity etched by time. Every stone slab and every ancient bridge here tells a story steeped in history, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. 2. Tuojiang River Scenery: The Tranquility and Romance of a Water Village The Tuojiang River flows through the city, its surface as calm as a mirror. The quaint stilt houses on both sides are reflected in the water, creating a stunning ink painting. A leisurely cruise on a wupeng boat is like stepping back into ancient times, experiencing the tranquility and romance. At night, the river is dotted with lights, reflecting the glittering starry sky, evoking a sense of longing. 3. A Rich Experience of Ethnic Culture Fenghuang is home to ethnic minorities such as the Miao and Tujia, and boasts a rich ethnic heritage. The streets and alleys are filled with colorful ethnic costumes, traditional handicrafts, and lively song and dance performances. The annual Miao festival and Tujia hand-waving dance are filled with excitement and joy, immersing visitors in a rich ethnic cultural atmosphere. 4. Former Residences of Historical Figures: Shen Congwen's Hometown Feelings Shen Congwen was a renowned Chinese writer, and his hometown, Fenghuang Ancient Town, has become a cultural pilgrimage site. Shen Congwen's well-preserved residence displays his manuscripts, letters, and daily necessities, taking you into the world of this literary giant. Following his footsteps, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Fenghuang's cultural heritage. 5. Unique Nightscapes and Special Cuisine Fenghuang Ancient Town at night offers a unique charm. Brightly lit streets, quaint bars, and unique food stalls create an atmosphere that blends the past and the present. We recommend tasting authentic Miao delicacies like sour soup fish, cured meat, blood-baked duck, and handmade rice noodles to delight your taste buds and experience the warmth of Xiangxi. 6. Stunning Natural Scenery and Surrounding Attractions Beyond the ancient town itself, the natural landscape surrounding Fenghuang is also worth exploring. Nanhua Mountain, Furong River, and Wulong Mountain National Forest Park are all great places to relax and connect with nature. Hiking, rafting, and waterfall viewing offer a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Why visit Fenghuang Ancient Town? Fenghuang Ancient Town is not only an ancient city, but also a cultural experience that transcends time and space.
