It is worth visiting for the sake of the national treasure, but it is recommended to go in April or May when the weather is warmer and the scenery should be more beautiful. If you go in March, the vegetation in the mountains is not green yet, there is still snow, the weather is cloudy and the temperature feels cold, and there are not many things to see.

The Foping Giant Panda Reserve is located in Foping County, Hanzhong, in the middle of the southern slope of the Qinling Mountains, covering an area of ​​35,000 hectares. Lubanzhai is the highest peak in the reserve, with an altitude of 2,900 meters. It stretches from north to south, with complex landforms, many cliffs and deep valleys, and relics of ancient glaciers from the Quaternary period. Foping is an inconspicuous small mountain town on the southern slope of the Qinling Mountains, but it is now attracting more and more attention. The most eye-catching thing here is the Foping Nature Reserve Administration Building of the Ministry of Forestry, which is built according to the mountain terrain: layers of stone slope protection meander up, majestic and like a castle.
