Zhagana Scenic Area is located in Yiwa Town, Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. Its name in Tibetan means "stone box," and it is a natural "stone city." Surrounded by mountains with rugged terrain, it boasts unique geological and geomorphological landscapes. The scenic area features original Tibetan villages, Lasang Monastery, and other cultural attractions. It was once named one of the "World's 50 Outdoor Paradises" and was also awarded "Best Tourist Village" in 2023.
The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the weather is good. It rained in the middle of the night and stopped around nine in the morning. Although it was a pity that I didn't see the sunrise, I experienced the fairyland shrouded in clouds and mist.

I really enjoyed the company, the fabulous and wholesome driver and all the attractions - especially the unexpected horse riding - love it sooo much
It's a truly impressive sight. The temple is well-managed and organized. The monks are friendly and helpful, and their explanations of the temple's history are detailed and thorough. The temple's pathways and surroundings are exceptionally well-maintained. Upon entering, visitors experience a profound sense of tranquility, a spiritual cleansing. The admission fee is reasonable. Entrance to the temple is orderly, and the parking lot is spacious and convenient, with reasonable fees. It truly deserves to be considered a world-renowned Tibetan cultural institution.

20240703 Trip to Gannan: Milarepa Nine-story Buddhist Pavilion in Anduo Hezuo. Tickets 🎫 Climb the Buddhist Pavilion 20 yuan Transportation 🚗 Self-driving Parking 🅿️ 5 yuan Environment 🌲 The Buddhist Pavilion was built in the 42nd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty to commemorate Milarepa. It is the representative temple of the Kagyu Sect (White Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism in the Anduo Tibetan area. Entering the temple early in the morning, the incense is strong. The Buddhist Pavilion is nine stories high, and you can go up one level at a time along the wooden stairs. The Buddhist Pavilion enshrines the founders of various sects of Tibetan Buddhism, mainly Milarepa and his disciples, as well as many Buddha statues, Bodhisattvas, Dharma protectors and other types of Buddha statues, totaling 1,720; At the same time, various murals of Tibetan Buddhist content are stored, which have high artistic value. Without a tour guide to explain, you can only visit quietly by yourself, and admire the exquisite murals and various golden Buddha statues 🙏No photography is allowed in the Buddhist Pavilion 📷 Consciously abide by it
Milarepa Buddhist Pavilion, driving from Lanzhou to Hezuo, about three hours away, the traffic here is complicated, novices are not recommended to drive Things to note when visiting the Buddhist Pavilion: 1. Scan the QR code at the entrance of the Buddhist Pavilion to buy tickets, 20 per ticket 2. When entering the main hall on the first floor, you need to take off your shoes and hat, and you can only wear socks. The hall is relatively cool. It is recommended to bring a pair of thick socks in summer, otherwise it is easy to get cold feet when visiting 4. There are 9 floors in total. It is the only Buddhist pavilion that enshrines the three major factions. There are many precious thangkas in it 5. You need to go clockwise when visiting the Buddhist Pavilion. There will be introductions at the door of each floor, and you can learn about the life of the enshrined master layer by layer 6. The toilet outside the Buddhist Pavilion is very, very dirty. If it is not necessary, go to the toilet 7. You can light a long-lasting lamp in the Buddhist Pavilion, 15 per lamp, and you can exchange some loose money, one or two yuan, which can be used when worshiping the Buddha statue

Located in Xiahe County, Gannan, Sangke Grassland sits at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. Surrounded by mountains, it lies a vast, flat alpine grassland. This grassland retains its pristine beauty and boasts breathtaking scenery. Every snap is a stunning sight!
The following is a review of Sangke Grassland: Beautiful natural scenery - Vast grassland: Sangke Grassland covers an area of 70 square kilometers, with an average altitude of over 3,000 meters. The terrain is gently undulating, vast and boundless, and the vision is extremely broad, allowing people to truly feel the artistic conception of "the sky is vast and the wilderness is vast".   - Surrounded by water systems: The Daxia River meanders from south to north, adding agile beauty to the grassland. The river water is clear, sparkling under the sunlight, and contrasting with the green grassland, like a poem and a painting. - Lush vegetation: It belongs to the meadow grassland, with lush water and grass. In summer, the grass is green, and various wild flowers compete for beauty. Gesang flowers, Sulu flowers, etc. are dotted among them, making the grassland colorful. Rich in humanistic customs - Rich folk culture: This is the settlement of Tibetan people, with unique Tibetan customs. Visitors can experience wearing Tibetan clothes, living in tents, eating Tibetan food, etc., and feel the authentic Tibetan nomadic life. - Deep historical heritage: According to the "History of Amdo Politics and Religion", Sangke Grassland was once the place where the Tibetan hero King Gesar burned mulberry to help and won the king by horse racing. It also held many grand Tibetan Buddhist Buddhist activities, and has a deep cultural heritage. - Diverse traditional festivals: During the Xianglang Festival in June of the lunar calendar every year, local farmers and herdsmen will carry out entertainment activities such as horse racing, tug-of-war, and wrestling, and dance Guozhuang around the bonfire at night. On July 13, the Shambhala Horse Racing Festival, riders showed their superb horse skills and it was very lively. Complete tourism facilities - Complete basic service facilities: Sangke Town focuses on the "boutique" tourism positioning and promotes the construction of tourism infrastructure. Tourist toilets, parking lots, tourist service centers, horse riding service centers, etc. are gradually improved, providing convenience for tourists. - Rich accommodation and dining options: There are traditional Tibetan tents, high-end wild luxury tent camps, and characteristic homestays to meet the needs of different tourists. In terms of catering, in addition to Tibetan cuisine, there are also some dishes suitable for the general public. Remarkable results in ecological protection The local government actively carried out ecological restoration work. In 2020, Xiahe County was included in the first batch of degraded grassland artificial grass planting ecological restoration pilot projects of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. After efforts, the degraded grassland has been managed on a large scale, the vegetation coverage has been significantly improved, and the grassland ecological environment has gradually recovered.
