The scenery is pretty good. I haven't been to Ejina, so I don't know how it compares with Ejina.
The garden is very big. You can take the shuttle bus to enter. You don't need to get off at the first few stops. You can get off directly at the last stop.
We only walked around the poplar forest by the water, and didn't go anywhere else.
In short, it's okay.

We traveled a long way to Ejina. We first went to the Ejina Populus euphratica forest, and then to Heicheng Ruoshui. I personally think Heicheng is better, the poplar trees are bigger and the leaves are yellower! There are shuttle buses to and from various scenic spots in the scenic area. The poplar forest by the water is really beautiful and shocking. I saw the sunset in the strange forest, which was also beautiful! In the evening, I also watched the iron flower and fire pot performances.
Environment: Heishui New City is a man-made scenic spot, which replicates the ancient city at a 1:1 ratio, and has the same business model as many ancient cities. Ruoshui Scenic Area is worth visiting, and Phoenix Forest, Life Oil Painting Forest, and Love Island are recommended.
Service: It is recommended that the scenic shuttle bus be converted into a fully enclosed one, as it is dusty when driving, and it is a bit cold at the end of September. The scenic shuttle bus service from Heishui City to the Strange Forest is very poor.

The stunning Horseshoe Temple, the Thirty-three Days Grottoes and the grassland scenery are a pity that you can no longer drive into the scenic area by yourself. You must take a scenic shuttle bus, which greatly limits the connection and freedom.
This is a very nice scenic spot. If you're driving, you can drive in directly after 8 PM without any traffic. However, the next day, you'll need to scan your ticket to visit the North Grottoes and the Thirty-Three Heavens. There's parking and charging stations outside the scenic area. After purchasing your ticket, you can take the scenic bus for free. The driver is very friendly and, while there's no tour guide, he'll guide you to each attraction. There's a post office on the pedestrian street outside the scenic area, where you can get a free tourist stamp. One downside is that there's horseback riding outside the King Gesar Hall, but the horsemen charge a fee. I recommend avoiding it. If you do, the maximum you can expect is 40 yuan. The parking lot outside the scenic area is suitable for camping, and the restrooms are open 24 hours a day and very clean. There's no additional fees, just parking fees. Those with limited physical fitness or those who are physically larger should avoid the Thirty-Three Heavens climb, as they might get stuck mid-trip. The entire scenic area is perfect for drone photography!

We drove from Xining and enjoyed the picturesque scenery. After arriving at the scenic spot, the staff allowed us to drive in because the mountain was about to be closed and there were few tourists. From Zhangye, go directly to Zhuoer Mountain via Erga Highway via Sunan. The first picture is the scene of the road construction. In fact, the whole mountain collapsed. No wonder it took so long to repair.
The road is not difficult to drive, but there are falling rocks along the way. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the snow-capped mountains. The entire Qilian Mountains, except Zhuoer Mountain, seem to be immersed in white snow, which is quite amazing.
