[Muscat Sultan's Palace] قصر العلم Alam Palace is the palace in the old town of Muscat, the capital of Oman, and is one of the six palaces of Oman Sultan. The palace, which has been in history for more than 200 years, was first built by Sultan bin Ahmed, and was built in 1972 in gold and blue fronts. The palace is not open to the public and visitors can only take pictures at the door. The Sultan of Oman used the palace as a place to receive dignitaries and hold ceremonies.
