It should be the newly built city wall that has enclosed part of the old street. It is nice to walk around the city wall in this weather. You can go to a high hill to see the distant view. It is quite pleasant to walk on the bluestone pavement of the old street, buy some snacks in the shops on both sides of the street, and visit small shops.
It feels better than Chongqing's Ciqikou. While the main streets are lined with shops, most of the buildings are from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. The few paid shops are relatively well-preserved, and the exhibitions are quite unique. Climbing the city wall, I discovered that there are still quite a few reinforced concrete houses in the town, but you don't usually see them in town. The 60 yuan entrance fee is a bit expensive, and the shops inside are highly similar.

To be honest, the attraction surprised me a lot and exceeded my expectations. The sculptures and design styles inside are unique, full of mysterious primitive tribal atmosphere and strong artistic tension, primitive ruggedness and exaggeration, rich in ethnic elements, and it is very photogenic!
The Yelang Valley Scenic Area in Huaxi is quite nice and has local characteristics. It is a modern reproduction of an ancient story and helps people understand the legend of Yelang. Although Guiyang locals find it boring, it is worth a visit for foreign tourists to Guiyang. It is still very artistic and the various statues are made of stone and are also very exquisite.

There weren't too many people when we went there. The sightseeing bus took us to the scenic area to take a boat, and then we started to cross the cave and saw a small waterfall. Then we hiked through the cave for about 40 minutes, which was worth seeing. The scenic area in the latter part was just to see a small waterfall, which was not very interesting. If we didn't play the zipline, we would have hiked to the sightseeing bus parking spot. In fact, the highlights were in the first half.
The scenery is beautiful and nice. The bamboo raft rafting is also fun, but climbing the stairs is too tiring. I bought a package ticket, but the connection between each node is not very good. The staff don't care. I can only ask and find out what the next link is and where to go. The signboards are not very clear, and it is tiring to walk.

Children under 130cm tall cannot play the full magic rafting, they can only play the half-way leisure rafting, and the scenic area has strict height requirements. Overall, it is good, with exciting river sections and gentle river sections.

The scenery in the south is similar. Anyway, the mountains are full of trees and grass, and they basically don't know it. Those who like monkeys can go and see it, because there are really many, this road has not been seen, and there may be many on both sides of the other road. I heard that there was a panda, there were too many people in the summer vacation, and I didn't squeeze in at the door, so I came out. Foreign tourists have no special tourist goals to go shopping, and sit and rest in the shade when they are hot. If you rush to see a special scenery, it is still... consider it again.
Qianling Mountain Park offers scenic mountain hikes, lake tours, stalactite caves, Buddhist worship at Hongfu Temple, and a visit to the zoo. 1. Hiking Ascending along the winding path, you'll find lush vegetation and fresh air, and along the way, you'll see cliff carvings. The mountain isn't particularly high, about 200 meters above ground level. At the summit stands Hongfu Temple, built during the Qing Dynasty. Admission is 2 yuan. Prayers there are said to be effective, attracting many worshippers. After Hongfu Temple, further climbing leads to the Kanzhu Pavilion on Xiangwang Ridge. From there, you can overlook the towering skyscrapers nestled among the Guiyang mountains, making for a great photo spot. 2. Watching Macaques at Hongfu Temple Qianling Mountain Park is a series of peaks. You can also hike Baixiang Mountain, Guandao Rock, and Daluo Ridge. Most tourists can descend after visiting Hongfu Temple and the Kanzhu Pavilion. There are a lot of macaques at Hongfu Temple and on the road down the mountain. Many tourists come to Qianling Mountain Park just to see these macaques. The monkeys are free-range in the park and are not afraid of people. People, on the other hand, should give them some leeway. If you have a camera, hold it tight, and if you have food, hide it carefully, as the monkeys might snatch it. 3. Boating on Qianling Lake When you reach a fork in the road on your way down the mountain, head towards Qianling Lake. There are snack shops along the lake where you can refuel. Qianling Lake is an artificial reservoir with a monument to revolutionary martyrs on its shores. Boating is available on the lake for a suggested fee of 15 yuan per hour. In summer, the lotus flowers are in full bloom, creating a beautiful view. 4. Visiting the Zoo Next, head to the zoo. There is also a snack shop next to the zoo, offering delicious and affordable dishes like barbecue skewers, grilled squid, and grilled tofu. The zoo entrance fee is 5 yuan. There aren't many species of animals, but if you're traveling with children, seeing black bears, lions, sika deer, pigeons, and more will delight you. 5. Qilin Cave Stalactites Qilin Cave is located south of the zoo. Inside, you'll find several stalactites, including one that bears a striking resemblance to a qilin. Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were both imprisoned here by Chiang Kai-shek. The museum houses the two generals' cultural relics, showcasing their former bedrooms and providing pictorial information related to them. Qianling Mountain Park Highlights: Guiyang's most famous comprehensive park, offering opportunities for worship at Hongfu Temple and panoramic views of the city from the pavilions. Impressions: The monkeys are a key attraction at Qianling Mountain Park, unlike other city parks. Groups of monkeys wander the park, some leisurely strolling, some playing and frolicking, and others politely accepting food and fruit offered by visitors. Experience a close and harmonious interaction with the animals. You can also visit Qilin Cave, where Zhang Xueliang was imprisoned. Don't miss the Anshun Po Su Bao (Po Su Bao) on the small street outside the South Gate. They're a delicacy rarely found anywhere else in China, and the long lines are definitely worth it!

It is unexpected that the Jiaxiu Tower, a landmark of Guiyang built in the Ming Dynasty, is a free attraction. You can visit the tower from 9:00 to 18:00. The water is sparkling in the morning and the scenery is beautiful.
Jiaxiu Tower was first built in 1598, the 26th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty. It was jointly initiated by the then Guizhou Governor Jiang Dongzhi and the Provincial Inspector Ying Chaoqing. The original intention was to address Guizhou's talent shortage, hoping to cultivate more talented individuals and foster a "prosperous academic achievement" in the province. In 1776, the 41st year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Governor Fei Zongxi renovated the tower and added the Hanbi Pavilion on the Fuyu Bridge. In 1909, the first year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty, the tower was destroyed in war and later restored by Governor Pang Shuhong. The existing structure was renovated in 1982 by the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, who also added a platform to the east of the tower. A Qing Dynasty couplet hangs on the main entrance of Jiaxiu Tower. Among the several couplets, the long one by Liu Yunliang, a Jinshi (Xinwei year of the Tongzhi reign) is the most famous. To the south of the tower lies Cuiwei Garden, also built during the Ming Dynasty. It includes ancient buildings such as Gongnan Pavilion, Cuiwei Pavilion, Zhaifang, and Longmen Academy. Jiaxiu Tower was designated as one of the first batch of cultural relics protection sites in Guizhou Province in 1982.

The Guizhou Museum's most prominent exhibits include Miao costumes, silverware, musical instruments, and other artifacts. The sixth exhibition hall, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, fails to highlight the 24 bends along the Yunnan-Guizhou border, a lifeline for the war against Japanese aggression. Instead, it emphasizes how the great migration of education and medical care drove the development of Guiyang, Guizhou. In short, exhibition planning requires meticulous planning.
My daughter said this was the most worthwhile place in Guiyang! The guide, Xiao Li, is a graduate of Guizhou University. He quoted classics and interacted well with everyone. He also prepared many small gifts for the students who answered the questions. The two hours were very fulfilling.

Seven years ago, I visited Guiyang and saw the "Colorful Guizhou Style" show. This time, it was a revamped version. The closing performance, featuring the singer Zheng Haiyue, was beautiful and added the finishing touch. It was fantastic. Guizhou is truly a major tourist destination, with a wealth of diverse tourism resources! 👍
The large-scale immersive and experiential folk song and dance "Colorful Guizhou Style" is performed every night at the Guiyang Grand Theater. It mainly displays Guizhou's ethnic folk and intangible cultural heritage, and integrates multi-ethnic customs, song and dance instrumental music, Chinese costumes and silver jewelry, folk stunts and other performances. The program has undergone 18 years of performance polishing, and is presented by 600 actors from 18 ethnic groups. It has accumulated more than 5,000 performances, attracting more than 10 million audiences worldwide, becoming the business card of Guizhou's cultural tourism, and a must-check-in project for visiting Guizhou. Guizhou Style condenses the customs of Guizhou's 600 years of ethnic culture, and presents us with the diverse Guizhou ethnic minority cultures and romantic ethnic customs such as the Miao, Buyi, Dong, Yi, and Shui. The repertoire consists of many distinctive and representative programs such as "Water Girl", "Climbing the Knife Mountain", "Dong Ethnic Song", "Wooden Leaves to Express Love", "Silver Dress in the Prosperous Times", "Guizhou Story", "Guizhou Love Song", and "Breaking Through the Wujiang River". 12 gate-blocking wines, 12 girls in Miao costumes, holding bright red umbrellas, set up 12 gate-blocking wines, and offered fine wines with traditional welcoming etiquette to welcome every guest. Bonfire Party, after the performance, another exciting and lively outdoor performance "Bonfire Party" was performed in the theater courtyard. The Yi people's vegetable dance, the Shui people's bullfighting dance, and the Miao songs sung by Miao girls continued to be performed. Tourists and actors held hands and formed a circle, dancing and singing beside the blazing fire. When traveling in Guizhou, you must come to participate in a performance of "Colorful Guizhou Style" to appreciate the different customs of different ethnic groups, quickly understand the charm of Guizhou, and feel the colorful Guizhou.

There weren't many people when we went, so we didn't have to wait in line. After checking in our bags at the entrance (10 yuan), we picked them up at the landing area. Then we changed clothes, put on helmets, and were given bamboo poles to get on the boat. The water was clean and relatively cool. There was even a rain shower, which delighted the children.
We originally planned to cross the river, but the weather was not good and the water level rose, so we couldn't play. 8 people quickly changed the high-speed rail tickets, rafting tickets, and homestays within 1 hour in Guiyang North, and took a taxi directly to the Nanjiang Grand Canyon for a successful rafting. There were both leisure sections for playing in the water and exciting sections for passion. It was a great rafting for 4 hours, and I felt it was worth the trip.
