I came to Hiroshima specifically to see the site of the atomic bomb explosion. Due to the G7 Hiroshima Summit, the tram from the train station to the memorial park was closed halfway and no traffic was allowed. I got off the tram and walked underground to a nearby area. The memorial park was completely closed and I had to leave with regret.
The Atomic Bomb Dome is nice to see during the day, but the reflection of the dome on the river is also nice. I think it would be nice to learn about history during the day, and enjoy the city lit up in orange lights while gazing at the river at night.

A peaceful town to visit in Japan. Sad history but also beautiful memorial park.
I made a special trip to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Due to the G7 Hiroshima Summit, the roads were closed and the tram could not go there. I got off the train and walked through the underground tunnel to the vicinity of the Peace Memorial Park. The entire Peace Memorial Park was closed, and I only regretted leaving.

Miyajima has been known as the "Island of Gods" since ancient times. In the Heian period, Taira no Kiyomori built the famous Itsukushima Shrine here, making it an extraordinary holy place for Japanese Shintoism. Miyajima is one of the "Three Best in Japan" and was selected as a World Cultural Heritage in 1996. ① Itsukushima Shrine is not only a classic symbol of Japan, but also a masterpiece of human architectural history. It constructs a grand divine space with vast fields such as oceans and mountains. It worships the natural world as a god, a mountain, a forest, and even a boulder. Miyajima is a manifestation of this primitive belief in the mountains. Itsukushima Shrine boldly built its temple in the style of the palace-style residence of the Heian period as an architectural style. The gorgeous corridor connects 6 national treasure buildings and 11 important cultural property buildings. It is the most beautiful shrine in Japan. ③ Big Torii When the tide is high, Itsukushima Shrine and the Big Torii seem to float on the sea, sacred and inviolable; when the tide is low, the foundation and mudflats of the shrine will be exposed, and you can approach the Torii and watch it up close. The Big Torii is 16 meters high, and the main pillars are made of camphor wood, which has natural corrosion resistance and is not easy to rot even underwater. When the tide is low, you can walk on the Big Torii, where you can throw coins for blessings and draw lots. You can draw lots for 100 yen to see your recent fortune. Itsukushima Shrine is still very beautiful from the Big Torii. "Miyajima" There are spirits between the mountains and the sea. In addition to Nara, there are deer everywhere in Miyajima. They are different from those in Nara, and people feed them less because there are no deer biscuits sold here. They are generally gentle, and the "local bully atmosphere" is not very obvious.
World Heritage Miyajima In December 1996, the World Heritage Committee officially registered Itsukushima Shrine as a World Heritage Site. The registered area includes Itsukushima Shrine, the sea in front and the Misen Primeval Forest (natural monument) in the back, totaling 431.3 hectares, accounting for about 14% of the total area of Miyajima. Three Views of Japan - Miyajima in Aki In 1643, Confucian scholar Lin Chunzhai traveled across Japan on foot and wrote "A Study of Japanese National Deeds" based on his travel experiences. In the article, Matsushima, Amanohashidate and Itsukushima (Miyajima) were named "Three Wonders (i.e. the best scenic spots)".

The Setouchi Inland Sea is known as the Aegean Sea of Japan, and Ushimado in Setouchi City is one of the most representative tourist spots. The azure blue sea and sky, green olive fields, nostalgic streets, and beautiful sunsets, why not have a date at this unique spot?
The boat swayed gently, and I watched the pelicans swiftly shuttle through the water, while the Japanese castle Ozu Castle and the beautiful mountain villa Wolong Villa slowly came into view from behind the boat. In Japan, there are only three places where you can see pelicans fishing, they are the Nagara River in Gifu, the Mikuma River in Oita, and the Hirugawa River in Ehime.

The Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima, Japan, enshrines Ichikishimahime, Tashinhime, and Tatsukihime, who are revered as the Three Munakata Goddesses. The Three Munakata Goddesses are worshipped as the guardians of the sea, safe sailing, good luck, and the fulfillment of wishes. The shrine is famous for its unique architectural beauty and superb palace-style architectural skills. It was first built in 593 and later rebuilt in 1168 by the powerful Taira no Kiyomori of the time, and has been preserved to this day. The unique configuration that stands out in the sea and the contrast with the beautiful mountains behind it reflect the ambition and power of Kiyomori. With the "main shrine" (main hall) as the center, several shrines are arranged around it, and there are also Noh theater stages, music halls, halls, etc. in between. The buildings are connected by a 300-meter-long corridor, forming a seamless whole. The bright red color of the shrine and the large torii gate is said to ward off evil spirits. The entire building is also painted with vermilion lacquer for corrosion prevention.
I visited this place in early 2019. The torii gate on the water is really special. It is much larger than the ordinary torii gate, like a city gate. You can walk to the foundation of the torii gate when the tide is low. You can also try the island's specialty oysters, which are different from those in Guangdong, China, and are larger. The shopping street on the island is closed one day a week, so be aware of it before you go.

Get a direct understanding of the scene of the atomic bomb explosion at that time. 140,000 people's lives were devoured by the war. No war! I wish the world peace! Everyone is happy! There are many tourists visiting here, especially foreigners. It is the place with the most tourists in Hiroshima.
This Hiroshima Peace Museum is located in the Peace Park. It is free and does not charge admission. I don't know why Ctrip wrote that it requires admission. Next to it is the very famous Peace Monument. This is a two-story building with a large space. There are a lot of people visiting, many of whom are foreigners in tour groups. The information inside is also good to read, which is suitable for understanding the destructive power of war. However, the only bad thing is that it closes early. If you come late, you will not be able to visit.

On the first floor, there is an experience corner with merchandise sales and slides. The cranes that have been collected since the museum opened are piled up, and it looks fantastic from the outside. There is also a tram running right in front of you. You can also lie down and relax at the Hiroshima Hill booth.
The top floor is open and breezy, far from the crowds, and is the best! I thought the 2,200 yen admission fee was a bit expensive, but I thought I might as well drop in since I was there anyway, and it turned out to be much better than I expected. One floor down from the observation deck, there is a corner where you can fold origami cranes and play some games. What's interesting is the attempt to post a cranes you've folded yourself. It's best to experience this for yourself. It's very close to the Atomic Bomb Dome, so it's easy to stop by!

Hiroshima Castle is located on the flat land of the delta of the Ota River. The south of Hiroshima City faces the Seto Inland Sea, forming Hiroshima Bay. The city of Hiroshima was formed on the delta formed by alluvial deposits at the mouth of the Ota River flowing in the city center. The center of the delta of the Ota River also became the Hiroshima Plain, and the surrounding areas became the western and northern parts of the city, and the eastern part became a hilly area.
Hiroshima Castle is also known as "Carp Castle" because it looks like a black carp. However, the color of Hiroshima Castle is not mainly black, but black and brown. The current castle was rebuilt after the war.

Very nice place, worth visiting, very good!
Japanese Baseball isn't at all what it is like in America. The air is almost electrifying and different traditions are practiced. The Mazda Stadium is home to the Hiroshima Carps, when the team is in town get tickets. Tickets can go as high as 4700 yen, but that isn't so much compared to an American game. The stadium is not for people who like personal space, expect to be bumping arms with locals constantly.
