Tianmen Mountain was a truly magical experience. I initially thought there was only one Tianmen Cave, but it turns out there's an entire world at the summit—the scenery is vast and expansive. I wonder why the ancients would brave such steep terrain to move to such a treacherous high place.
I chose Route B, which involved taking a minibus to the foot of the mountain, a cable car to the halfway point, climbing 999 steps to Tianmen Cave, and then climbing one more level to reach the summit. The return trip involved a cable car from the summit directly back to the city—a 30-minute ride, and the cable car journey was incredibly long. This route proved quite reasonable, as I was completely exhausted on the return trip.
- The 999 steps are no small feat; you can also buy a separate ticket for an elevator to save energy. Halfway up the steps, I encountered an avalanche and nearly died; the safety measures at the scenic area are clearly problematic.
- The hike to the summit took about three hours. The boardwalk offered breathtaking and awe-inspiring views of the mountain's imposing and towering peaks—truly unparalleled. The summit also features many cultural attractions and legendary tales.

a must visit place in zhangjiajie,avoid peak season for bailong lift ride,our bailong lift ride was a one hour wait for a 66sec ride n we came at the supposed non peak period lol. all photo spots around the mountain are worth stopping by,fantastic view.alot of walking n climbing up stairs so wear appropriately.

The scenery must be beautiful, otherwise there wouldn't be so many tourists. The only downside is that the cable car only goes halfway up the mountain. To see the more beautiful views, you need to climb for several hours, which is too tiring. It's not friendly to the elderly or people with mobility issues.
It rained today, the weather was bad, which was a bit of a shame. On the way down the mountain, we had to get out of the car and walk for a while because the road was impassable. The management of the scenic area still has problems. The scenery was beautiful, though; I hope the scenic area can improve its management.

The distances marked on the signs in the scenic area should be doubled. For the first attraction, Wolongtan, there's a bus stop, but don't get off there! Walk a long way to the next stop before you reach the attraction! The scenic area is very beautiful. On the way back, take the scenic shuttle bus around the back of the mountain to return to the starting point!
Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is a highly recommended tourist attraction. As a national 5A-level scenic area and a World Natural Heritage site, it features karst landforms and integrates mountains, water, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls, earning it the reputation of "the emerald on the Earth's belt." The overall experience is serene, dynamic, and richly layered, suitable for photography, hiking, and family water activities.
The highlights of the scenic area are concentrated along the Xiangshui River: the ancient Xiaoqikong Bridge built in 1835; the cascading Laya Waterfall; 68 waterfalls densely distributed along a 1.6-kilometer stretch of the river; the emerald-green Wolongtan (Sleeping Dragon Pool); the Yuanyang Lake, accessible by boat; and the "water forest" where "water flows through the forest." From October to December each year, the red spider lilies bloom extensively in the valley, adding a seasonal romance. The entire area offers a constantly changing landscape, with the water's color displaying multi-layered blue-green gradations depending on the light and water volume, making for excellent photo opportunities. The park is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Adult tickets are typically NT$120 (excluding the sightseeing bus), which must be purchased separately (subject to daily announcements). High visitor volume is expected during holidays; it's advisable to avoid peak times.
The best season is from June to October (high water season), when the waterfalls and water colors are at their peak, ideal for water activities and photography. Autumn and winter offer beautiful views, but the water volume and color are less vibrant.
It is recommended to wear non-slip river shoes, bring spare clothing, and sun/rain gear. Seniors and families can utilize the park's transportation system for a more relaxed pace. It's worth seeing. I recommend doing your research beforehand to avoid backtracking. Overall, it's a very good experience. Just be aware that the sightseeing bus stops running after 10:30 am.

The night view was enchanting, and experiencing the two types of locks was fantastic. I arrived early, but the ticket inspector helped me change my ticket to an earlier departure if there were available seats. The fourteen bridges are all unique in design; pay special attention to the paintings and reliefs beneath the bridge surfaces.
What an amazing one-hour experience! Dylan assisted us all the way and check in on us every step of the way. He was very prompt, friendly and helpful! The breathtaking scenery was worth every minute and cent spent!

Duxiu Peak and Jingjiang Prince City Scenic Area, located in Xiufeng District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a scenic tourist area rich in history and culture, covering an area of 283 acres.
Duxiu Peak, along with Diecai and Fubo Peaks, forms a triad of mountains, one of the main peaks of Guilin, known as the "Pillar of the Southern Sky" and historically called the First Peak of Guilin. Rising abruptly, its shape is like a knife-cut hex, surrounded by other mountains, standing proudly like an emperor. Climbing 306 steps leads to the summit, the best viewing platform for panoramic views of Guilin. Located 1000 meters north of Diecai and 500 meters east of Fubo, it has an altitude of 216 meters, rising 66 meters above the plain, measuring 120 meters long and 50 meters wide, covering an area of 0.61 hectares. Surrounded by mountains in the distance, it resembles a courtier paying homage, creating a regal atmosphere of "a solitary peak not serving the other mountains," laughing at the surrounding peaks, and is known as the "Head of the Mountains, King of the Mountains." I suggest visiting if you have the time, but be prepared for the climb to the top for panoramic views of Guilin.

Memories of the Li River Scenery
This time, I chose the Ctrip-themed cruise ship "Y0Y0 Happy Cruise," departing from Zhujiang Wharf in Guilin and sailing to Longtoushan Wharf in Yangshuo, a journey of about 4 hours. Following the guide, I enjoyed the scenery along the way; the landscape before my eyes was like a series of vivid landscape paintings. I finally experienced firsthand the charm of "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven," and understood many famous scenic spots.
1. What's hidden in Yangdi's scenery?
Yangdi is the first scenic area after the Li River flows into Yangshuo. Here, both banks are lined with uniquely shaped peaks, and the bamboo along the river is lush and verdant. Sailing downstream, lifelike mountain landscapes such as Embroidered Mountain Walls, Carp Hanging on the Walls, and Children Worshipping Guanyin come into view, as if stepping into a flowing landscape painting. Occasionally, wisps of smoke rise from the mountain villages, cormorants busily fish in the water, splashing water everywhere, and cattle and sheep bleat and moo on the mountains, creating a vibrant and wild atmosphere.
2. Can you really see nine horses at Nine Horses Painting Mountain?
That magnificent cliff, hundreds of meters high, is the famous Nine Horses Painting Mountain. The "nine horses" on the cliff are not real horses, but rather natural patterns and colors formed by the rocks. How many horses you can see depends entirely on the time of day, angle, weather, and whether you have a detailed guide. Most people can usually only see 3 to 5. A folk song goes: "Horse watcher, horse watcher, how many pairs of horses are there? Seeing seven makes you a runner-up, seeing nine makes you a champion."
3. Is comparing a 20 RMB note to the mountain peak enough?
The image on the back of the 20 RMB note is a photograph of the Yellow Cloth Reflection in the Li River. Simply comparing the shapes of the mountain peaks isn't enough; the key is to look at the two core elements: the "yellow cloth" and the "reflection." There are two interpretations of the "yellow cloth": one is that the yellow sand deposited at the bottom of the river resembles a large yellow cloth; the other is that there's a flat, large yellow stone slab at the bottom of the river, like a yellow cloth spread out. The "reflection" is most beautiful when the river is wide and the water is clear and calm. Peaks like Yuanbao Peak and Chaoban Mountain, along with the verdant bamboo along the banks, will be clearly reflected in the water, creating a harmonious blend of mountains and water that makes it difficult to distinguish reality from illusion.

The Li River is a typical karst landscape, and its scenic characteristics can be summarized in four words: clear, unique, ingenious, and ever-changing. "Clear" refers to the Li River's year-round crystal-clear waters, allowing one to see directly to the bottom; "Unique" describes the strangely shaped yet beautiful peaks; "Exquisite" signifies the delicate and dynamic scenery, with rocks displaying remarkable shapes, textures, and colors, creating exquisitely crafted scenes as if sculpted by hand; "Changing" means the scenery varies with the seasons, day and night, and weather, offering a fresh experience with each visit.
