It was definitely a worthwhile trip! We first visited Bai Garden, where, with the help of a guide, we got a detailed understanding of Bai Juyi's life in Luoyang. Then, we visited the grottoes, where we once again truly felt the breadth and depth of Chinese civilization. Countless skilled craftsmen have labored for thousands of years to create this cultural treasure. As the sky darkened and the lights came on, visitors grabbed their cameras to capture this beautiful moment where ancient and modern civilizations meet. What a blessing!
Teacher Xiao Jiang's knowledge is incredibly rich, with classic allusions readily available. He's well-versed in the background stories of various Buddhist statues, and his explanations are both insightful and engaging. From Baiyuan Garden to the grottoes, he spoke eloquently, and the three and a half hours flew by. I was left wanting more, and it was a truly worthwhile trip! A five-star rating is a must!

It's great, it feels like traveling through time and space. It is recommended to put on makeup and take photos of the clothes for a better experience. There are many performances in the scenic area at every time period, and there are interactive games around at any time. It is impossible to play from morning to night in one day, so the scenic area is very humane. The ticket is valid for only 3 days, so you can have fun. 👍
I braved the scorching heat with my children for two days at Qingyuan. We had originally planned to spend three days there, but the weather wasn't kind. On our second visit, we were soaked halfway through and had to return home. The park was full of fun for the children. Despite the heat, the park provided plenty of cooling measures, including numerous trees and artificial sunshades. Fans were also installed in many areas, spraying water mist.
The scenic area covers over 600 mu (approximately 180 mu) of water, boasting over 100 ancient ships of various sizes, over 400 houses, and over 30,000 square meters of landscaped buildings. It forms a large-scale architectural complex imitating the Song Dynasty in the Central Plains. The Shangshan Gate and Rainbow Bridge, vividly depicted in the painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival," showcase the splendor and grandeur of the Song Dynasty, earning praise for their "extraordinary grandeur and magnificent architecture."

Arriving at Taiyuan Station 1, I took a direct bus to Jinci Park. Inside, I strolled through the park and then visited the Jinci Museum. For official admission, it's best to purchase tickets online in advance. As the park is crowded, the hostel is often packed with tour groups, so try to avoid them for easy photo opportunities. These are all precious treasures left by our ancestors. Although I'm not a professional archaeologist, I'm still fascinated by them and can't leave. Very elegant courtyard. The room is clean and well-equipped. The owner is very considerate and attentive. He called us early in the morning and sent a car to pick us up. I will stay here again when I go to Pingyao.
I walked around several streets in Pingyao Ancient City and found it very lively. The main attractions are restaurants, local specialties, and travel photography. The combined ticket allows you to visit many attractions, but I couldn't do them all due to time constraints. I visited the County Government Office, the Banknote Museum, the Escort Bureau Museum, the Weapons Museum, the Confucian Temple, the City God Temple, and the city wall, which gave me a more systematic understanding of Pingyao Ancient City. I stayed in Pingyao for 2 nights and it would have been better to measure it on foot rather than just visit it in a hurry.

What time can I redeem my silver bills for refrigerator magnets? I arrived at Hanyuan Pier at 3:20, and the security guard said the staff weren't at work yet. I went out for lunch and arrived just after 5:00, and they said they were off duty. I'm going to file a real-name complaint for being late and leaving early... It was still a lot of fun. I went in at 10am and watched 3 main plays (two were enough for me to go in), 8 small theaters and 2 outdoor ones. I came out at almost 10pm and only bought 2 bottles of water in between. Needless to say, it was the best this year.
I have been to so many places in China, but this is the only place I would give a full five-star rating. As a descendant of Henan people, I was deeply moved by the visit. Admission is free for those over 60, so I give Shandong a big thumbs up for its cultural tourism. It fulfilled my parents' wish to see the sage's office and residence. Perfect!
There weren't many tourists when we went, so the experience was great. We booked a gold medal tour guide to take me with us, who explained the history of the Confucius Mansion and Temple in detail, and let us experience Confucian culture. I highly recommend this family trip!
