As for Orange Island, it's a Changsha landmark—it's a shame to miss it, but it's also a bit of a bummer to visit. It's especially crowded during the holidays! Besides taking pictures with Mao Zedong, there's really not much else to do there, so I think it's best to just visit and avoid the crowds. Especially in the summer, avoid going during the day; there's no shade.
I bought the ticket early, so the boat left early. The ticket for 7pm left at 6:45pm. I should have bought the ticket for 7:30pm. There was nothing to see without the lights on. The show on the boat was ok.

It's great. The crowd is even denser after the lights are turned on at night. Everyone is checking in and taking photos. Opposite is the snack street, where you can eat, drink and have fun. You need to know the program and performance locations in advance, and try not to miss some wonderful performances. Some witchcraft in Xiangxi is really puzzling. We stayed until 9pm before leaving, and then went around the opposite side of the road of the 72 Wonderful Building to take a night view of the stilt building.

"Charming Xiangxi" is a cultural name card that Zhangjiajie has focused on creating. It has invested heavily in building a performance venue, and invited Huang Yongyu to write the title. Hunan singers such as Song Zuying, Zhang Ye and Chen Sisi sang, and the production level is very high. It can be said that "Charming Xiangxi" is a must-see performance in Zhangjiajie.
The performance is performed at 7:30 every night and lasts about an hour and a half. It is a good arrangement to sit here and watch the performance after being tired from sightseeing during the day.
There was also an interesting episode on the day I went: several calligraphy works by famous artists were auctioned before the performance, which was also a very special link, hahaha.
Very inexpensive and great show! We bought the A VIP area. I wish they can implement the seat selection when booking. So my advice is get there early so you can redeem your tickets for better rows. But ours was not bad, row 17 and center.
