You must ask for a guide when visiting the Forbidden City, otherwise you will just be passing through. I made an appointment with Mr. Fan, the top scholar in Beijing. The teacher's explanation was professional, humorous, and comprehensive. I had a deeper understanding of the Forbidden City. It was a great value trip.
Mr. Fan, the top scholar in Beijing, gave a three-hour lecture. His explanations were detailed, lively and interesting, and the time and route arrangements were very reasonable. I learned about the history of the Forbidden City and the rare treasures in the Treasure House.

I went with my children and bought a 1.5-day ticket. It rained on the second day. We entered the park at 2:00 am on the first day. It was summer vacation. We waited in line for two hours for Jurassic Adventure, an hour for the AllSpark float parade, and another hour for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey light show after a little over 8:00 am. The first half-day included: light photography, Jurassic Adventure, Waterworld, floats, AllSpark, light show, and Forbidden Journey. Food: Braised pork pancakes, Mengniu Ice Cream Workshop chocolate, and a bottle of water for 15 yuan. It rained on the second day, and the lines for all attractions were significantly shorter. We entered the park, took photos with the actors, played all the Minions, went through Jurassic World twice, and then had dinner at Three Broomsticks. In the afternoon, we watched all the Kung Fu Panda rides, including the untamable show. My child is 8 years old and was scared of the Forbidden Journey. We didn't dare play the Hippogriff, Leap of Faith, or the Decepticons. We didn't think the 30-minute wait for the Velociraptor Encounter was worth it, but we did everything else. The two attractions were average, and we left the park at 4:00 AM, mainly because the kids weren't very energetic. We bought some souvenirs and went to Mengniu for a 100-yuan ice cream combo. That was the end of our trip. I recommend buying a three-item Premium Pass plus a single-day ticket; it's crucial for children to avoid long lines. Among the three, I chose the Spark, Forbidden Journey, and Minions Mayhem—a great value. For those with more stamina, a 1.5-day ticket will save you money and allow you to enjoy the entire park, but it's tiring. Also, it's better to visit on a rainy day than a sunny one; shorter lines are crucial.
The holiday season is quite busy, so I made a plan beforehand. If you only have one day, you'll need to be very tight on time, depending on the number of visitors and weather conditions. I opted for a two-day ticket and was very satisfied with the experience. I was able to enjoy all the activities I wanted, even doing some twice. I also saw the scheduled performances, which were fantastic. If you've come all the way here and don't want to regret it, I recommend buying a two-day ticket.

First time visit Badaling Great Wall. Bought the 2 ways cable car ticket and great wall admission ticket though trip.com. Took the cable car up to the Great Wall tower 8 then walked / climbed to tower 9, 10, 11 and finally 12. A lot of excercise and steep uphill and downhill. Not suitable for old people. However, the scenic views are malverous.
Badaling is a prime spot in the Beijing section, but it's overcrowded with tourists! If you'd like to see a different, more unique section of the Beijing section, I recommend Mutianyu, where there aren't many tourists and the scenery is stunning... [Scenery] [Value for Money]

Since there is no online advance ticket purchase, it is very convenient to scan the code to buy. As one of the four major grottoes, the scenic area is also very good. Except for a few caves under maintenance, the others are very worthwhile. Maintenance is not easy. I hope to leave more treasures for future generations to see.
China's grotto art originated from the Gandhara art of the Western Regions, but it has been continuously developed and promoted by integrating Chinese culture. From the statues of the Western Regions to the statues of Liangzhou, and then to the oriental smiles of Yungang and Longmen, China's grotto corridors are profound and extensive, rare in the world, and shocking!

It's worth a visit. I touched the word "Fu", walked the path of prosperity, and saw the golden nanmu worth 2.7 billion. I like the tour guide's explanation of the scenic area. The introduction was detailed and the children loved it!
Maybe it's because it opened so early, but it doesn't live up to its reputation. Or maybe I've been in Beijing so long lately that I'm tired of it. Overall, it's just average. It has everything you need, and it's decent.

The Temple of Heaven is much larger than I imagined. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is truly majestic and spectacular. You can't truly appreciate it without experiencing it firsthand. I highly recommend going if you haven't been!
It was definitely pollen season, but we didn't encounter any, which was fine. The Temple of Heaven is always crowded, so be sure to go early, otherwise you'll be missing everyone.

The explanation was humorous and easy to understand, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. It also incorporated historical stories. I didn't listen to the guide's explanation last time, but this time, I felt very benefited after listening to the guide's explanation. The scenery was beautiful. The guide was also very good and recommended us. There were not many passers-by, so we were able to fully explore the attractions. I hope to use the same guide next time.
The West Causeway of the Summer Palace is located in the western part of the garden. It was built by Emperor Qianlong, modeled after the Six Bridges of the Su Causeway in Hangzhou. From north to south, the six bridges are Jiehu Bridge, Binfeng Bridge, Yudai Bridge, Jingqiao Bridge, Lianqiao Bridge, and Liuqiao Bridge. Each bridge has its own unique design, blending the essence of northern and southern garden art. Yudai Bridge is the most eye-catching. Its single-arch, high-arched white marble bridge has a clear span of 11.38 meters and a flowing curve. Large vessels can pass through it, and a boat barge is located on the west side of the bridge. It is a prime example of a classical Chinese stone arch bridge and the only intact original Qianlong structure to survive after 1860. The other five bridges were destroyed, and the current bridges are reconstructions. Standing on the six bridges, you can see the Wuquanshan Pagoda clearly, as if it were right inside the garden. To reach the Six Bridges of the West Causeway, you can take a boat from the east bank of Kunming Lake or from the Dragon King Temple Pier to Yudai Bridge. Alternatively, you can reach it by land from the marble barge, heading south from Jiehu Bridge. Visitors to the Summer Palace should not forget to walk along the West Causeway!

Jin Temple, a once-in-a-millennium garden! Its architectural artistry is breathtaking. It's China's oldest extant imperial sacrificial garden and the largest, oldest, and best-preserved ancestral temple-style classical garden in existence. The Holy Mother Hall is a towering achievement of Song Dynasty architecture. The eight wooden dragon-carved columns in front of the hall are lifelike, and their beams, constructed with a "three-column structure for six rafters" (nipple beams) are the only extant example of a Chinese ancient building conforming to the palace-style structure prescribed by the "Yingzaofashi" (Construction Code). The Yunuma Flying Bridge is China's earliest cruciform ancient bridge, with its unique shape and considered the prototype of the modern overpass. The Offering Hall is my country's only extant building combining a hall and pavilion, featuring an ingenious beam arrangement that is both economical and sturdy.
The Shanxi Museum is a vital window into Shanxi's history and culture. Its rich and diverse collection, ranging from ancient fossils to modern artifacts, showcases Shanxi's long history and splendid culture. Its creative exhibitions offer a sense of time travel and a sense of historical allure. Here, you can appreciate Shanxi's unique cultural heritage, making for an unforgettable cultural journey.

A must-see in Shanxi, the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, also known as the Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogong Temple, is located within the Fogong Temple complex in the northwest corner of the old city of Yingxian, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. Construction began in 1056 AD, the second year of the Qingning reign of the Liao Dynasty, and was completed in 1195 AD with additions. It is the tallest and oldest existing all-wood pavilion-style building in the world. In 1961, it was designated a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the State Council, and in 2016, it was certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the "World's Tallest Wooden Pagoda."
If you're visiting Shanxi, the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is a must-see! While the drive is quite long, and involves walking through a cornfield, it's definitely worth it. The Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is said to be leaning, but hopefully, it'll hold up for many years to come.

Great trip. Perfect!! The road to tower 20 - Hero's Platform. Cable car + Tabagoon worth it!!
The scenery is truly beautiful, with plenty of green space. The air is fresh! It was a sunny day when we went, so the air was fresh, and the blue sky and white clouds made it even more magnificent. It's truly a magnificent building! I'm so proud to be Chinese! I brought my kids along, and they had a blast climbing it! We didn't feel tired at all! Overall, it was a pretty relaxing trip! Not many people there! And there were lots of foreigners there! They really added to the scenery!
