The scenery is nice, but it's quite secluded. The weather can be quite hot in July, August, and September. The stairs might be a bit difficult to climb with children, and the guardrail on the top floor is very low, so be careful. The entrance fee is not expensive, but the interior isn't very large, so you can explore it. It's not comparable to Himeji Castle. It's a short walk from Inuyama-Yuen Station. If you take the train to Inuyama Station, it's a bit farther, but you can visit the castle town and do some shopping. I took a taxi directly to Unuma Station and then took the train to Gifu.
Travel Tips - The stairs of the castle tower are steep, so it is recommended to wear clothes and shoes that are easy to move around in. - After climbing the castle, you can get a "castle certificate" (charged) as a unique souvenir. - Combined with the itinerary in Nagoya city, it takes about 30 minutes to arrive by taking the Meitetsu Inuyama Line, and the transportation is convenient. -The price-performance ratio is good, the crowd is small, and it is leisurely!

The day in Meiji Village was very fulfilling. All the buildings were moved from parts of real historical buildings. The first elementary school and university in modern Japan, as well as banks, prisons, churches, hospitals, police stations, photo studios, theaters, etc., all of these prototypes of Japan's modernization were formed during this period of opening up the country and civilization. We also learned about the immigration history of Brazil and Hawaii, saw Natsume Soseki's study, and learned about the etymology of the handle rings in the tram. It is very interesting to read Japanese culture in detail [smile]
Located in the eastern suburbs of Inuyama City, this large theme park showcases the culture of the Meiji era. The Meiji era was the starting point for Japan to lift its isolation, accept Western culture, and move toward modernization. The food, clothing, housing, and transportation of modern Japanese people are all based on the Meiji era. For example, Japan's earliest modern elementary schools and universities, Japan's earliest trams and trains, Japan's earliest telegraphs, and the modern Japanese habit of eating wagyu and yakitori were all born in the Meiji era. The Meiji Mura Museum uses the architecture of the Meiji era as a medium to showcase the humanistic characteristics of the Meiji era in all aspects of food, clothing, housing, and transportation. Friends who are interested in Japanese culture should not miss it. Another reminder is that Meiji Mura is very large, so you need to arrange plenty of time.
