The ocean view is stunning, with the white torii gate ⛩️ framing the Married Couple Rocks, perfect for a photo op. However, aside from the ocean views, the surrounding restaurants can be crowded. We recommend taking a bus to the other side of the beach, where there are many activities like ziplining, swings, and swimming.
You can take a direct bus from Hakata Bus Terminal, but the earliest bus leaves at 8:58 AM. You can also take the JR train to Kyudai University Research Center and then take the bus.
Sakurai Futamigaura Couple Rocks, a must-visit attraction when visiting Itoshima. A whole row of people lined up to take photos in an orderly manner. The white torii gate is very unique. Two rocks are connected by a rope, which is the Couple Rocks. I heard from the Japanese uncle who was taking pictures next to me that it would be beautiful to take pictures of the sunrise and sunset. I will come again next time.
I came in the morning, and the sky was not very blue. When I left in the afternoon, it was completely clear and I took a picture of the sky. It was so blue (Picture 2)
