The sightseeing cable car lifts off the ground with a gentle jolt, gradually rising higher. The figures below gradually shrink to tiny, moving dots. As the cable car reaches the center of the river, the view suddenly widens, revealing the scenery on both sides. On one side, the modern city stands tall, while on the other, old streets and alleys shaded by green trees, separated by the leisurely flow of the river, a seemingly peaceful harmony. On the riverbank, a man fishes, motionless, like a wooden stake nailed to the shore; morning joggers appear and disappear beneath the shade of the willows. As the cable car approaches the other side, it slowly descends. Details of the ground below become clear: vendors are busy setting up shop, tourists are snapping photos with their phones, and children are running around and playing. The hustle and bustle of life washes over me, instantly dispelling any previous sense of alienation. Standing on the Songhua River bank of Sun Island, I gaze across at the modern cityscape of Harbin. Taking the cable car to Sun Island is truly a wonderful experience!
