How can you not visit the National Palace Museum when you come to Taipei! There were so many people It’s a pity that the braised pork was not on display today, and everyone lined up in an orderly manner to take pictures of the cabbage. It costs NT$150 to rent a guide, which is very good. If you want to visit carefully, you need a whole day. The inconvenience is that the food supplies inside are a bit expensive. Finally, I bought a lot of souvenirs in the cultural and creative goods store, which is so unique.
Taipei National Palace Museum The Taipei National Palace Museum is in Shilin. Please note that there are a lot of steps at the entrance. The building is in the traditional palace style, with green tiles and white walls, which looks very imposing. There are really many collections inside. You must see the jadeite cabbage and the meat-shaped stone, especially the katydid carved on the cabbage is very fine. It is recommended to rent an interpreter, otherwise you may not understand the story behind the exhibits. The exhibition will be replaced every three months, and you can see different treasures if you go often. There are more people on weekends, so try to come on weekdays or at noon. There is a place for stamping in the museum, so you can bring a notebook as a souvenir. It takes about three or four hours to go through the whole tour.

Easy to use and save you time as you don't need to wait in line to buy a ticket. Overall experience was okay but not spectacular. Observatory for me personally was not worth it as you see the same view. There are many nice decorations to make a picture for Instagram, etc, but I don't do that on my trips, so it depends on your personality to visit observatory or not.
Great place for photos and time lapse videos, but that's it they provide the experience showing the scenery of Taipei

The most famous thing in Yehliu Park is the Queen's Head. You have to queue up to take pictures, so you can only look at it from a distance. But in fact, some of the trails inside are also very comfortable, with birds singing in the mountains and rich vegetation. But you must apply insect repellent in advance, the insects here are too fierce! The scenery at the end of the seaside is really beautiful!
Introduction to Yehliu Geopark Location: No. 167-1, Ligang East Road, Yehliu, Wanli District, New Taipei City, Taiwan Ticket price: Adults NT$ 120; free for those under 6 years old or under 115cm in height Business hours: July and August in summer: 9AM-6PM; other times: 8AM-5PM Best time to visit: All seasons, March, April and October are the best times for bird watching Yehliu Geopark can be roughly divided into three areas: The first area is mainly distributed with mushroom rocks and ginger stones, and the famous candlestick rocks and ice cream rocks are located in this area. The second area is very similar to the first area, but the number is relatively small, but the famous Queen's Head, Dragon Head Stone and Diamond are located in this area, and the area near the sea can also see famous landscapes such as Fairy Shoes and Peanut Stone. The third area is a relatively steep sea erosion platform. On one side of this platform is a steep cliff, and on the other side is a surging sea wave. There are all kinds of strangely shaped rocks on it. The more famous pearl stone, 24 filial piety stone, and Ma Ling bird stone are all located in this area, and it is also an important ecological conservation area in the park. Highlight 1: Queen's Head The most eye-catching attraction in Yehliu Scenic Area is the Queen's Head. This huge stone statue standing on the steep slope has a history of more than 4,000 years. It is named "Queen's Head" because it looks like the head of Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom when viewed from a certain angle. However, under the continuous erosion of sea water and sea breeze, the Queen's Head is also gradually weathering, and her facial contours are not as clear as before in recent years. And the park decided to respect the laws of nature and let it weather naturally without any artificial repairs. Therefore, if you have not seen its true appearance in person, you must hurry up and don't miss this unique geological wonder. Highlight 2: Playful Princess In Yehliu Scenic Area, there is a new "Internet celebrity rock", that is "Playful Princess". If the Queen's Head is the famous tourist card of Yehliu Scenic Area, then this young "Playful Princess" can be said to be the successor of the Queen's Head. Highlight 3: Fairy Shoes If the Queen's Head is the focus of the Yehliu Scenic Area, then the relatively small and exquisite fairy shoes are of a different interest. Legend has it that this is a pair of shoes that the fairy from heaven accidentally left on the coast when she came down to the earth to subdue the evil spirit of the Yehliu turtle. Highlight 4: Candlestick Stone The candlestick stone area is a relatively peculiar small landscape in the Yehliu Scenic Area. The candlestick stone is a single whole that stands upright on the ground in a cone shape, thin at the top and thick at the bottom. There is a circular limestone nodule in the center of the top, and there are circular grooves around the round core. From a distance, it looks like a candlestick placed on the ground.

It is very easy to use for all locations. Just scan a QR code, and you will get a ticket. I used it for the ropeway first. The views are very nice and breathtaking. Be aware of the weather there as it might get cloudy and rainy on some days. Boat is using a ferry service and goes to the other two locations so you can see the temple and each side of the lake. Renting a bike was also very easy. They offered me an electrical buy if I wanted to go around the lake, but I sticked with a normal one and went around the lake anyway. It took me about 2.5 hours and a bit of effort to do so as at some parts you have to go up on a steep hill.
Very easy to use, just follow the instructions. I used electronic QR code for trip forward and back. It's very easy to navigate in the high-speed rail station, just go down and look for exit gate no. 5. My suggestion is to wait in a queue no matter when the bus is arriving as there are no reserved seats, so you might not get a seat for the first bus. My mistake was that I saw the buss is coming in 16 minutes and there were only 4 people in the line so I went to a restroom and when I came back there were 25 people in front of me and at the end I didn't get a seat and needed to wait for the another bus. They way back was also not complicated as the station is small and is a clear lane for the bus going back. Just use a QR, which you redeem on the same day as your trip when boarding the bus.

Taipei 101 is undeniably one of the most iconic landmarks in Taiwan and a must-visit for anyone traveling to Taipei. The panoramic views from the observatory are absolutely breathtaking — but only if the weather cooperates. Be sure to check the weather forecast before heading over; visiting on a foggy day can mean you end up staring into a wall of clouds instead of the city skyline. Aim for a clear day to get the best experience. It’s also a good idea to go in the morning or early evening, as the afternoon hours can get quite crowded with tour groups. Despite the crowds, the visit is still very much worth it. Taipei 101 isn’t just about the view — the tower also features interesting and well-presented educational exhibits about the building’s unique engineering, especially its mass damper system, which helps stabilize the skyscraper during earthquakes and typhoons.
got this when there was a 1 for 1 promotion, fuss-free and quick redemption as well. only con was that it was cloudy the day we went and we couldnt catch the sunset

Bustling with many shops. Tea tasting is also offered in many of the stores.
Jiufen Old Street is located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. This is a mountain town with many stone roads and stairs. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and walk slowly. There are old buildings on both sides of the street, with red lanterns hanging. The atmosphere is particularly good when the lights are turned on in the evening. The must-eat Auntie Gan’s taro balls are at the entrance of Jiufen Elementary School. The mixed ice contains sweet potato balls, taro balls and red beans. You can also see the mountain view when sitting by the window. There are many snacks and handmade shops on Jishan Street, the main street of the old street. If you have enough time, you can arrange half a day, come at three or four in the afternoon to avoid the crowds, and have a cup of tea at Amei Tea House in the evening, watching the lights at the foot of the mountain connected together, like a scene in a fairy tale.

Best combo ticket ever! You can visit the Taipei zoo, cable cars and the Taipei 101 observation deck. Buy online and receive three QR codes, one for each place. Really efficient and great value for money!
Stepping into Taipei Zoo, it is like a wonderful natural exploration journey. The layout is clever, according to the geographical ecological partition, the Asian tropical rainforest area is lush, water vapor, Malay lizard, Asian elephant and other animals live at ease; Australia's animal area is full of unique creatures, kangaroos jumping, koalas dozing. The popular science signs in the park can be seen everywhere, introducing animal habits, living environment, and parents who bring children are patiently explaining to children and letting knowledge be passed on in interaction. The most memorable thing is to see the "tuan" and "round", which are very caring for pandas from the mainland. They are sloppy, or eat bamboo, or lazy to roll, and the cute look makes tourists laugh and draws closer to the emotions on both sides of the Straits. Walking in the garden, not only can enjoy the animals, but also feel the garden's care for the animals, and the importance of science education, is a full and warm travel.

You can enjoy the scenery of Taipei City by taking the cable car. There is also greenery along the way. The wind on the mountain is relatively strong and it feels cool. There are many shops selling tea, and the shop assistants are warm and friendly.
The air up there is very good. It is easy to travel by Maokong Gondola. It takes about half an hour to get to the top. It is very convenient.
