The Tibetan Culture Museum in Xining really shocked me. I could spend a whole day here. In addition to seeing more than 50 sets of Tibetan costumes, lamas with iron rods and lamas holding staffs over 2 meters high, I also saw the bone clothes for Tantric initiation, which really opened my eyes. There was also a Guinness record thangka scroll that shocked me so much that I had to spend the 60 yuan! The Colorful Painting Grand View has a huge scroll with a length of 618 meters and a screen of 1,500 square meters, which won the "Guinness World Record" certificate. There are more than 700 thangkas and more than 3,000 different embroidery patterns on the entire scroll. All the pictures are colorful and magnificent, which is jaw-dropping! It can be called an encyclopedia of Tibetan culture. It was painted by more than 400 Tibetan, Mongolian and Han scholars, experts, and top arts and crafts artists using pure natural paint pigments and traditional Tibetan art painting techniques. It took 27 years from planning to completion. Through the content, you can appreciate the living customs, cultural status, historical allusions, etc. of the Tibetan people. It is really a national treasure. There is also a special thangka - Mantang. "Man" means "medicine" or "drug" in Tibetan, and "Tang" is the abbreviation of thangka.
