Lao Xin Taiwanese Cuisine is a restaurant in Kaohsiung that was selected in the 2020 Ctrip Food Forest Restaurant List. We went to the Jiuru Founding Store, which is also the largest headquarters. My friend's child had a birthday, so he treated us to a meal here.
This restaurant is called Lao Xin Taiwanese Cuisine. It is a non-menu restaurant with three price ranges of 600, 800 and 1000 per person. Guests tell the restaurant their budget and the restaurant will prepare the dishes. We ordered the 800 Taiwan dollars per person. It can be said that every dish was a surprise. The seafood porridge was my favorite. It was so fresh that I reluctantly drank two bowls even though I was very full. The medicinal fish (stone fish) was quite big, and there were actually two of them. They were tender and fresh. The dessert was taro sago. The waiter said in a coquettish Taiwanese accent that it was very fragrant! But I really couldn't eat it. Even the complimentary fruit was delicious. The watermelon was sweet and juicy. The taste is good, the price is affordable, the service is good, and the decoration has a strong retro flavor (there are many old objects), which is unforgettable.

The main dish of this restaurant is the crabs from Penghu, which are very strong and have lots of crab roe. The fried wontons taste good too, with the Fujian and Guangdong styles. The price is a bit cheaper than in mainland China, mainly because the food is fresh.
