The scenery was absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, we encountered road construction at the time. There's nothing we can do about it; development is a necessity, and hopefully things will improve in the future. I recommend horseback riding; it will provide income for the local people and save you energy at high altitudes. The service was good – the facilities were nice, and the staff were friendly – but there didn't seem to be much interaction. I suggest preserving some of the natural feel; it looks like they're building a boardwalk, so close encounters with the glacier are probably impossible now – we'll only be able to admire it from afar.
On a clear day, you can see the entire Muztagh Ata Peak up close. After getting off the shuttle bus, you can hike one kilometer to the glacier. If you're too tired, you can ride a horse up and hike down.

In mid-August, Baisha Lake was bathed in blue skies and white clouds, the water and sky blending into one, and bustling with tourists. The sun was blazing, the lake breeze was strong, but altitude sickness was largely absent, and the white yaks by the lake were docile and adorable.
1. Natural Scenery: Baisha Lake boasts crystal-clear waters, surrounded by mountains and shaded by lush trees, creating a breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Here, you can admire the spectacular coexistence of desert and lake, and experience the wonders of nature. 2. Folk Customs: The Baisha Lake area is home to numerous ethnic minorities, including Mongolians and Kazakhs. Visitors can experience unique ethnic customs, such as authentic barbecue and dairy products, and enjoy traditional song and dance performances, immersing themselves in the rich cultural atmosphere. 3. Ecological Protection: Baisha Lake is located in a desert, but the lake's ecosystem is highly fragile. To protect the environment, the local government has implemented a series of measures to limit visitor numbers and strengthen sewage treatment, ensuring that Baisha Lake maintains its pristine appearance. 4. Leisure and Vacation: The area surrounding Baisha Lake is home to a wealth of tourist facilities, including resorts and farmhouses, offering comfortable accommodations and a variety of leisure and entertainment options. Here, you can fully enjoy the tranquil lake and beach, and experience the tranquility and beauty of nature. In general, Baisha Lake is a charming tourist destination. Whether it is the natural scenery or the folk customs, it will make you linger. If you have the opportunity to travel to Xinjiang, you might as well make Baisha Lake an important attraction in your itinerary.

Ticket checking at the entrance was a bit lax, and the standards for full-price and half-price tickets seemed to vary. However, the lake view was beautiful, and the experience was wonderful, with some satisfying horseback riding photos. I passed by again during the day and was again struck by the beauty. It's definitely worth a visit.
We first went to Baisha Lake, which was pretty average. Due to time constraints, we hadn't planned to go to Karakul, but once we finally got there, we were blown away! The scenic area isn't huge; it's just a parking lot, and you pay for it. But seeing Muztagh Ata was incredibly exciting and enjoyable. The weather wasn't great that day, with a sandstorm, but there weren't any here, and it wasn't crowded either. The overall experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back!

The scenic area is located in the westernmost part of China, bordering Kyrgyzstan, and the village of Simukana, where it is situated, is the place in China where the sun sets latest. The distant views are beautiful, but the mountaintop is windy and cold.
China's Westernmost Point! China's Westernmost Point! China's Westernmost Point! Geography enthusiasts rejoice! It takes just over two hours from Kashgar, with plenty of speed limits along the way, but it's still the westernmost point of China. The Westernmost Point stone monument is magnificent, and I even checked in my own village. What else could you ask for in life? The freedom of the four poles.

It is worth going here. There was no signal along the way, and the phone signal was restored when approaching Muji Township. It felt like I was in a paradise, with endless grasslands and the Eighteen Arhats snow-capped mountains in the distance stretching for a thousand meters, which was very spectacular.
Muji Crater, located in Muji Township, Akto County, Xinjiang, is the "Eye of the Earth" of the Pamir Plateau. The crater group is 3,800 meters above sea level and consists of 13 quanhua-type craters. It was formed 1,500 years ago. The unique "ice and fire coexistence" landscape is shocking. The azure glacial lake and the Eighteen Arhats snow peaks complement each other, and the autumn wetlands are golden, like a fairyland. Location: Muji Township, Akto County, Kezhou, Xinjiang, adjacent to the borders of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Driving distance: It takes about 225 kilometers from Kashgar to drive along National Highway G314, which takes 5 hours. Tickets: Currently free, the shuttle bus is 100 yuan round trip, and there is an additional fee for riding or going deep into the crater.

The scenic area's location on Ctrip was incorrect. After passing the main gate, you actually have to drive another 30 kilometers to reach the final glacier park. I was confused at first and couldn't find the correct entrance. I called and learned that I had to drive to the very end. The alpine meadow at the end of Oytak Glacier Park is absolutely stunning. I came here solely for this. Following the guide, I found a horseman and rode up there. The 50 yuan one-way price was a great deal, but the route he took was quite steep and somewhat dangerous. Once we reached the alpine meadow, we realized how truly beautiful it was. Someone was taking wedding photos there; the bride was stunning! There's a new wooden plank road to the right of the wide grassland. It's not fully finished yet, but we went up it without realizing it. We discovered the true expanse of grassland, filled with herds of cattle and sheep. It's a truly stunning photo opportunity! Everyone is welcome to explore.
Kezhou Glacier Park is located in Akto County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. At an altitude of 2,804 meters, it boasts the lowest glacier in China. The park boasts a vibrant mix of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, forests, and grasslands, including the Kelazi Glacier and Ayilanish Snow Mountain, offering visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of nature.

The journey from Baisha Lake takes about two hours. The road is completely deserted, with mountains on either side and wetlands in between creating a breathtaking view. Of course, there's also Kongur Snow Mountain and Baisha Lake! Tickets are affordable, and the sightseeing bus is free. Parking is also free, which is a nice touch! The scenery is truly stunning. Besides the unusual volcanic landscape, the distant Eighteen Arhats Peaks are truly breathtaking. Add to that the rivers and wetlands in between, and the journey, and you're well worth it, even though it takes several hours!
Because I had to travel more than 100 kilometers to visit this attraction, and the road conditions were not very good, I was hesitant about whether to go. I repeatedly looked through various guides and reviews, but I couldn't figure it out. Because I couldn't go to Mustagh Glacier Park with my 70-year-old family, I finished the trip in one day. I still had time to visit the five major attractions in Kezhou, so I went here. The result was very shocking, and the scenery was very beautiful. The crater is even more magnificent against the backdrop of the sun, white clouds and snow-capped mountains. It's worth the trip.

@Southern Xinjiang, Kashgar (Tashkurgan, Tajikistan), Muztagh Ata Glacier Park The glacier park is at a high altitude and boasts many well-developed glaciers. Climbing to elevations above 4,500 meters, you can see seracs, ice caves, and other sights, as well as wildlife. PS: Muztagh Ata Glacier, Glacier No. 2 is at 4,800 meters, and Glacier No. 4 is between 4,688 and 5,000 meters (where the glacier park is located). The weather on the Pamir Plateau is unpredictable, sometimes cloudy and sometimes sunny, sometimes snowy. The glacier park was closed and opened. Time was running out, so we decisively diverted to the mountain's mountaintop trails, secured by local herders. After several days of travel and the bumpy road, my altitude sickness set in as expected. Fortunately, it only hit at the foot of the mountain, so it didn't affect my ice skating. An unexpected encounter with a Pamir Plateau marmot.
Muztagh Ata, with an altitude of 7,546 meters, ranks 43rd among the world's highest peaks and the third highest peak in the West Kunlun Mountains. This "Father of Glaciers" stands tall, with 128 glaciers hanging down like silver beards, ice towers shining in the sun, and clouds and mist lingering above the snow line, like a gate to heaven. Its glaciers are large in scale, nourishing the Tarim Oasis and nurturing the source of life. The peak is covered with snow all year round, and the mountain is round like a steamed bun, competing with the Kongur Peak and forming a magnificent picture of the Pamir Plateau.
