I really enjoyed coming here with my mom and husband. We were able to see the animals up close while still feeling safe, which was amazing! I was a bit disappointed with the panda area, as it wasn't as engaging as I had hoped, but overall it was still a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t mind coming back again next time. I was on a business trip to Kunming and had a short half-day break. I took a quick tour of the Yunnan Provincial Museum and felt the historical changes in Yunnan that were different from those in the Central Plains. After closing, I went to the nearby Guandu Ancient Town to eat tofu rice noodles and snacks. Then I rode a shared electric bike to the Haidong Wetland for a walk to digest the food. I encountered a stunning sunset and sunset glow. It was a perfect half-day.
The best place to get to know a local is through a museum. Yunbo Museum is right next to Guandu Ancient Town. We went in the morning and it was quite crowded. Our tour guide said it was even more crowded in the afternoon, probably because many people visit Yunbo Museum before heading to Guandu Ancient Town.

However, the planned location fails to fully leverage the unique character of Dianchi Lake. Due to its locational constraints, its food, living facilities, and transportation are inferior to those of the main urban area. For example, the local economy (Jinning District) may be problematic. The road between the main urban area and the park is unlit early in the evening, and the road is uneven in some areas.
Adults can bring their children to play, and both adults and children will have a lot of fun. It is impossible to play here in one day. The food inside is relatively expensive, so it is best to bring some food with you. Some areas may be slightly cheaper, but generally it is more expensive than outside. Don't buy raincoats outside, as the water activities inside are all free. When I left, I took a picture of the beautiful sunset, which was very photogenic. 1. Location
Convenient transportation, easy to get to from the city center by taxi. When leaving, take the bus from the Xishan Park to the subway station.

The weather was a bit overcast when I visited, and I think a sunny day would have been even more beautiful. However, the sheer size of Dianchi Lake was still quite breathtaking. The cable car ride was quite long, and while the views were indeed more comprehensive, it was mostly just the lake and mountains. It was a great experience with friends.

For your first time in Yunnan, taking the cable car is a great value. After arriving at Xishan, you can climb the mountain to Longmen and then descend again, and that's pretty much it. The overall experience was excellent.
The whole park is quite large, and you can learn about the houses, architecture, clothing and living habits of various ethnic groups. It's just that renting a car is a bit expensive, so it would be more cost-effective to walk around by yourself

It's a good place to bring children. The service staff also asked about the height of the children very considerately. If they are less than 1.1 meters tall, they can enter the park for free. They also reminded me that I can refund the parent-child ticket and buy an adult ticket separately. Recently, Flying Over Yunnan is under maintenance, so it's a pity that it can't be completed. As soon as you come in, you must go straight to the Jellyfish Express on the second floor. There are a little more people in the queue. We came in the off-season, so the queue is faster. Remember, as soon as you enter the door, you must check the schedule of the day's performances and make time arrangements. We just didn't see it well, so we entered at 11 o'clock in the morning and waited until four o'clock to see the dolphin and seal performances, but my Jin and Mermaid performances were really good. There are some regulations for free children's facilities in the park that require 1.1 meters to do tree house climbing, which is not open. It is recommended to check the time arrangements before coming. It is very worthwhile to come again and I will come to play next time I travel!
