There is already a sense of desolation in this season. There is a tour guide on the shuttle bus, which is very professional. The tourist center of the scenic area has Xinjiang food coupons, as well as chain restaurants such as KFC and King Tea Princess, and the prices are quite reasonable.
It's very beautiful, especially the mountain (I don't remember the name) that you paid extra to go to. I don't know why there are a lot of bad reviews online, but after seeing it with my own eyes, I think it is still worth a visit.

In-depth tours are recommended, such as to the Snow Lotus Valley, the windmill platform of Volta Jiaota, and the Eagle Platform. The scenery along the way to these locations is beautiful, and the view at the end point is wide and refreshing, which is worth a visit.
Nalati Grassland, a gem of Xinjiang's Ili River Valley, is the perfect epitome of the "Grassland in the Sky"! Here's a summary of its highlights and experiences: 🌿 Stunning Features: 1. Three-dimensional grassland landscape: Snow-capped mountains, spruce forests, river valleys, and meadows intertwine layer upon layer. The contrasting styles of the "Grassland in the Sky" and "Grassland in the River Valley" sections are particularly striking: the former is vast and majestic, while the latter is winding and gentle, almost like something you've stepped into your Windows desktop wallpaper! 2. Four-season beauty: Summer brings rolling green waves and wildflowers, autumn is a vibrant golden season, and winter is blanketed in snow, a paradise for photography enthusiasts. 3. Folk Culture Experience: Stay in a Kazakh yurt, savor hand-pulled lamb and milk tea, and enjoy folk songs and dances at night, immersing you in the authentic nomadic culture. ⚠️ Notes: · The scenic area is vast, so it's recommended to reserve 1-2 days for your visit, prioritizing the shuttle bus to visit key attractions like the Nomadic Homestead and Tianjie Terrace. · Strong sunlight and large temperature fluctuations require sun protection, hats, and windproof jackets. A bit commercialized, so be sure to negotiate prices for activities like horseback riding in advance. 📌 Summary: Although the entrance and transportation fees are high, the stunning natural scenery and unique cultural experiences are well worth it! Perfect for you!

The World Devil City is a Yardang landform formed by wind erosion of rock and soil. The uncanny workmanship of nature has formed a variety of bizarre pictographic styles, which complement the pumping units (kowtow beetles) of the surrounding Karamay Oilfield, forming many vivid and lifelike pictures. The scenic area is very convenient for transportation by the small train. There are five stations in total, and the train runs in a circle, stopping at each station. The speed will be slowed down when encountering classic scenery along the way, and the electronic tour guide will explain the relevant information, which is convenient for tourists. The Devil City is worth a visit.
It is convenient to purchase tickets with one click. You don’t need to show your ID card. You can just scan the QR code to enter the park. The scenic area is very large and there are almost no trees. The shuttle bus is a small train with a one-way street and no turning back. The tour is over after one circle. You can get off at each scenic spot. It has the Western style, camel riding and horse riding, which is suitable for taking personalized photos.

First of all, the scenic area is incredibly large. We opted for a self-drive ticket, entered the parking lot, and boarded a scenic shuttle bus to Flower Terrace and Falcon Terrace. The grassland scenery along the way was breathtaking, and the several photo stops were new to us Suzhou residents. It was truly stunning! Taking the kids horseback riding and hiking, soaking in the natural beauty, alleviated the anxiety of the city's fast pace and allowed me to slow down and experience the world. After a round of touring, we discovered a camping area with a teahouse at the horseback riding station, perfect for a break, some snacks, and some hot tea with friends. It was a beautiful experience!
Kalajun was just as described online; it was generally enjoyable, with the hike from Flower Terrace to Falcon Terrace being the most interesting. But honestly, Kalajun, the King of Grasslands, was definitely a pleasant experience. Having visited Bayinbuluke, Nalati, and finally Kalajun, I can speak for myself. Overall, it was quite good!

It was my first time in Xinjiang. The tour guide I booked was very nice. He contacted us in advance and informed us of the walking route, parking location, and tips for entering the museum. He also gave very good explanations and a wide range of knowledge. He combined our basic understanding of Xinjiang with a targeted introduction. He also had a very good grasp of the rhythm and the content of the explanation was easy to understand. It was a very good experience.
Teacher He's explanations were excellent, with clear content and vivid stories. Visiting the museum gave me a brief understanding of Xinjiang's history and culture, like being in a time-travel drama, traveling through time and space. I particularly enjoyed the following exhibits and related explanations: "Five Stars Rising from the East, Blessing China," the Loulan Beauty and the mummified body of the Xiaohe Princess, and the story about the joint burial of a man and a woman at the Subexi Cemetery. It was so informative and fascinating. Thank you, Teacher He! It really gave us a deeper understanding of the beauty of Xinjiang!

The scenery of the scenic spot is quite good, and it is worth a visit for taking photos. You can take a sightseeing bus, ride a camel, or walk. I think it is a good idea to take a sightseeing bus.
The Tianshan Grand Canyon, renowned for its magnificent natural scenery, attracts countless visitors. The canyon's peculiar peaks and rocks showcase the wonders of nature. The unique Danxia landforms create a breathtaking spectacle. Hiking through the canyon offers a chance to fully experience the charm of nature. It's worth staying overnight. The scenic area is large, but the core is in Zhonggou and the Qimengde Observation Deck. The spruce forest is spectacular! The Qiafuqi Lake on the way is also worth stopping to check in. It is very blue.
While reaching the Qimengde Observation Deck isn't easy, it's definitely worth the trip! Kurdenin is still breathtaking in August! Spruce trees, snow-capped mountains, blue skies, white clouds, and the sight of cattle and horses everywhere—it's truly spectacular!

The grasslands of Bayinbuluke are somewhat similar to those in Inner Mongolia. The scenic area is very large. We drove in, parked the car in the parking lot, and took a sightseeing bus to watch the sunset, which was very beautiful.
Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful. Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful. Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful.

Dushanzi Grand Canyon is worthy of being the most scenic spot on the Duku Highway! The canyon is spectacular, with steep cliffs, a gurgling stream at the bottom, and a wealth of activities to enjoy. It is a perfect combination of nature and modern entertainment.
It feels pretty good. There are not many people, the scenic area is not big, and the parking lot is convenient. The children like it very much. The children said that the Ice and Snow World is very fun, but it is too cold and they usually come out in twenty minutes. There are a lot of food and drinks, and people selling things. It feels quite comfortable to walk around. It is much better than the crowded attractions. The third picture is a cliff restaurant. The food is super expensive. You can only enter after buying something. The ice cream costs a little more than 60. There is no need to go in to see the scenery. You can also see it from the outside. You can just go in and sit down and rest. The taste is average. I bought a little and the children didn’t finish it.

Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar: A Pearl of the Western Regions, Embracing Charm and Livelihood As a seasoned travel blogger, I've had the privilege of visiting Xinjiang many times, and the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is undoubtedly one of my most captivating landmarks. Known as the "Pearl of the Western Regions," this vast market is more than just a shopping destination; it serves as a window to the world, showcasing Xinjiang's rich ethnic culture, time-honored history, and vibrant local flavor. I. A Fusion of History and Culture Originally built in the late 19th century, the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar has undergone numerous renovations and expansions, becoming a cultural landmark in Urumqi. Once a crucial hub on the Silk Road, it witnessed the exchange and integration of Eastern and Western cultures. Strolling through the alleys of the Grand Bazaar is like traveling back in time, immersing yourself in the ancient yet vibrant atmosphere of history. Architectural styles blend here, showcasing the Uyghur dome mosque, traditional Han courtyards, and Kazakh yurts, creating a vibrant and vibrant ethnic landscape. II. Rich and Diverse Ethnic Customs The Grand Bazaar epitomizes Xinjiang's multiethnic cultures. Walking through the area, you can hear Uyghur folk songs and savor authentic pilaf, grilled lamb kebabs, and naan. Every stall exudes an alluring aroma, showcasing a dazzling array of colorful handicrafts, embroidery, carpets, and jewelry. This is not only a great place for shopping, but also a perfect place to experience ethnic culture. During festivals and celebrations, lion and dragon dances and other passionate dance performances bring the Grand Bazaar to life, and visitors feel as if they are part of this sea of joy. 3. A Perfect Blend of Fireworks and Lifestyle The most captivating aspect of the Grand Bazaar is its rich, thriving atmosphere. Here, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, there's only the cries of vendors, the laughter of children, and the resounding sound of traditional music. In the mornings, the market is bustling with activity, showcasing a dazzling array of fruits, vegetables, and fresh dairy products. In the evenings, the market lights up, and the aroma of grilled kebabs permeates the air, attracting a constant stream of diners. The Grand Bazaar at night takes on a unique charm, with the lights illuminating the smiling faces of the people, creating a scene reminiscent of a floating fireworks display. IV. Specialty Food and Handicrafts When visiting the Xinjiang Grand Bazaar, you absolutely cannot miss the authentic cuisine. Grilled lamb skewers, baked buns, milk tea, kumis...each dish is imbued with rich ethnic flavor. Besides the food, the handicrafts are also a must-see. Exquisite carpets, embroidery, silver jewelry, and wood carvings—each piece embodies the meticulous craftsmanship and wisdom of the people. These items are not only highly ornamental but also perfect gifts for friends and family. V. Travel Tips and Experiences We recommend doing your research in advance and understanding some basic ethnic culture and etiquette to better immerse yourself in the local atmosphere. Wear comfortable shoes and have some cash on hand, as many stalls may not accept electronic payments. The best time to experience the bazaar is in the evening and evening, when the lights are ablaze and the atmosphere is lively. Additionally, participating in a guided tour or cultural performance can help you gain a deeper understanding of the unique charm of this region. Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is not only a shopping paradise, but also a cultural treasure house.
Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is Urumqi's most iconic cultural landmark, combining shopping, dining, and local cultural experiences. The following review examines the area from various perspectives: I. Core Features Architecture and Culture The main structure features Islamic-style buildings, with ochre brick walls and blue glazed tiles, reminiscent of traditional Kashgar residences. The 80-meter-tall Silk Road Observation Tower offers panoramic views of the city and is a landmark attraction. The Bazaar showcases Uyghur intangible cultural heritage, such as Adras silk, Uyghur embroidery, and traditional musical instrument making, recreating the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road. Culinary Experience Must-try snacks: Red Willow Lamb Skewers (10-15 RMB/skewers), Hotan Baked Buns (3 RMB/piece), Ganggang Meat (32 RMB/portion), and handmade yogurt. Note: Dining prices are slightly higher than in the city center. It is recommended to sample local specialties in small quantities. For main meals, visit the nearby Consulate Alley. Shopping and Entertainment Items include dried fruits (raisins, almonds), medicinal herbs, jade, and handicrafts. Bargaining is required. 15. Ethnic song and dance performances are held every night (Building 4, 4th Floor, 200-400 yuan). The opening ceremony (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) is not to be missed. 16. II. Itinerary Suggestions Time: Allow 2-3 hours for the tour, preferably in the evening, to combine dining and the night view. 17. Transportation: Take Metro Line 1 to Erdaoqiao Station, Exit A; a taxi from the airport takes about 30 minutes. 16. Tips for Avoiding Pitfalls: Ask for prices before shopping to avoid high prices at tourist attractions. 15. Respect ethnic customs and avoid sensitive topics. 1. III. Pros and Cons ✅ Pros: Rich cultural atmosphere, perfect for taking photos and experiencing the charm of the Western Regions. 28. A one-stop shop for all your dining, shopping, and entertainment needs, especially suitable for first-time visitors. 67. ❌ ‌Disadvantages‌: Some items are significantly overpriced, so it's recommended to compare prices at local markets like Jinquan Mall before purchasing. ‌1] Be careful with your belongings during holidays, as crowds are dense.
