Jinci Temple is a perfect example of the harmonious integration of natural landscape and man-made architecture. Relying on the water systems of Nanlao Spring and Zhibo Canal, it forms a beautiful landscape of "small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and towers." Transportation and Parking: Buses (such as routes 308 and 804) from downtown Taiyuan provide direct access to the entrance of Jinci Park, which is very convenient. Parking is also large and convenient. Tour Route: It is recommended to start from the central axis, visiting the following sections in order: Water Mirror Terrace -> Golden Man Terrace -> Duiyue Archway -> Offering Hall -> Fish Pond Flying Bridge -> Holy Mother Hall (the core area), and then visit the Zhou Cypress, Nanlao Spring, Tang Stele Pavilion, etc. on both sides.
My first visit to Taiyuan, and my first stop was the Jinci Museum – it was amazing! The Holy Mother Hall: Top-tier Northern Song Dynasty architecture! The 42 painted clay maiden statues have incredible expressions, and the 8 dragon-carved pillars have a built-in 3D effect (there's even a dragon!). Fish Pond Flying Bridge: China's earliest overpass! Offering Hall: A Jin Dynasty pure wood pavilion plus, built without a single nail yet withstanding 800 years of wind and rain. Song Dynasty Painted Clay Sculptures: The Holy Mother Hall's star team! Each maiden has a unique expression, and their clothing and postures are all different. Zhou Bai: A 3000-year-old reclining war god! Nanlao Spring: "Jade Water" certified by Li Bai! You can even drink the water from the dragon-shaped stone mouth at the spring's source!

Today, Ordos is increasingly green, and it's rare to find such a small patch of desert left for tourists to experience. There are plenty of recreational activities, and the service is generally good. My summer trip was long ago, but the dark clouds and lightning over the desert during the thunderstorms remain vividly in my memory.
A day at Xiangshawan was like stepping onto a joyful alien planet! The fun can be summed up in two words: pure and simple! Walking barefoot into the soft, warm sand was incredibly satisfying. Riding in a giant cable car deep into the desert, your heart and mind expanded along with the expansive view. The most exhilarating ride was the dune buggy – like a roller coaster, plunging and drifting between dunes, everyone screaming and laughing. Riding camels in a line, listening to the tinkling camel bells, slowly swaying across the boundless sea of sand, felt like stepping onto the Silk Road. For the adventurous, sandboarding is a must. Swooping down dunes dozens of meters high, the wind whipping past your ears – so thrilling! When you're tired, lie on the sand and watch the clouds; the world is just blue and yellow, so pure it makes you want to sing. This place isn't just scenery; it's a giant playground. All your worries are blown away by the wind, leaving only a wild and carefree heart!

Our visit to Yanmenguan was an absolute highlight. This section of the Great Wall truly amazed us with its raw, majestic beauty and profound sense of history. We were incredibly lucky to experience it under a brilliant blue sky and with comfortable, crisp autumn weather. The climb itself is manageable thanks to proper trails, making the journey as rewarding as the destination. The final panoramic view from the top is simply magnificent, offering a breathtaking glimpse into China's incredible past. An unforgettable experience for any traveler.
When the autumn wind sweeps across the gate tower, the imposing aura of "one man can hold the pass against ten thousand" is overwhelming—every brick and stone here is imbued with the spirit of Wei Qing and Li Guang's battles!

Taiyuan Botanical Garden has become a newly popular tourist attraction, largely thanks to its starry sky-top elevator observation deck. The three hemispherical tropical museums opposite, reflected in the water, resemble an alien base. Now that it's winter and the off-season, the crowds are concentrated here! You could easily spend a whole day here in the summer. There are electric shuttle buses and small electric cars available for rent, so it's not tiring for the elderly or children!
The botanical garden is large and boasts a rich variety of species. In winter, visitors can only view the exhibits inside the buildings, but during other seasons, the entire garden is open to visitors. I was fortunate enough to see the firefly exhibition this time, which was quite a nice way to relive childhood memories. It's truly amazing how such tiny fireflies can emit such bright light. The plants inside the exhibits are as beautiful as ever.

I went there to see the sparks; seeing them live was amazing, especially since it was my first time! 🥰 I explored the place during the day first, and there was a lady offering free guided tours, which were fantastic. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. 👍
It's pretty good. Although the price is not cheap, you can enter twice in two days, which is not bad. The iron flower show in the evening is worth seeing. It starts at 8 o'clock. You need to go early to reserve a seat, otherwise you will be in line at the back and can't see it.

Perhaps because of the rain, there weren't many people. It's a small ancient town with almost no interactive activities. There were only a few shows, which weren't as good as the online reviews suggested. The food at the small shops was expensive and mediocre. More importantly, while it's a half-hour taxi ride there, it took ages to get back. I finally managed to get a shared ride, but they wouldn't even charge extra. Transportation is inconvenient. The 98 yuan entrance fee only covered the night view.
I love this place so much! I haven't had enough fun this time. The ancient buildings and museums are amazing. I learned a lot and experienced the life of the Republic of China... There are also various snacks and treasures.

There is a manual explanation, the fee is 50, you can see the exhibition on the ground and go underground to visit the mining process, the cost-effectiveness is high, you can learn about coal mines, it is worth recommending! ! ! ! !
Shanxi, a major coal-producing province, has a dedicated museum, which is great, but it feels a bit underwhelming. The museum looks like it's preparing for a commercial trade show, making it bustling. The entrance has been pushed to the side, which I found a bit strange. After entering, I asked for a tour guide, and the professionalism was quite good. The guide was good. There's also an elevator that goes down to the mines, and the exhibits on coal mining from ancient times to the present day are quite good. It fully satisfied my curiosity. The exhibition halls offer detailed information on coal types, and there are also coal-based artifacts that I found quite novel. Overall, I feel like there's room for further exploration of coal. After the tour of the coal process, the museum transitioned to a special topic on Shanxi murals, which felt like a crossover and a bit overwhelming.

I went to Kangbashi Museum some time ago, and it was really amazing! As soon as I walked to the front of the museum, I was attracted by the unique architectural shape, which looked like a rock that had been polished by time and had a special sense of history. After entering, the various exhibits were dazzling. There were ancient bronzes, exquisite ceramics, and precious calligraphy and paintings. Listening to the story behind these exhibits introduced by the guide, it was as if I traveled through time and space, and personally experienced the long history and splendid culture of Ordos. I felt very rewarding. I sincerely recommend everyone to go and have a look!
The exhibition design is very attentive, divided according to the natural development context, the visiting route is clear, the transition is natural, and it is not tiring to visit. The lighting and sound effects are also amazing. In the simulated tropical rainforest exhibition area, the lighting is combined with the sound of birds and wind, as if you are in the depths of the rainforest.

The tour guide's explanation was lively and informative, allowing me to fully appreciate the unique charm of the Datong Museum. Datong is not only resplendent with its ancient architecture, but also its underground cultural relics. I was particularly struck by the museum's treasures, which were truly stunning.
Today was a fruitful day. Teacher Zhang Mi gave us a lively and interesting lecture, which gave us a deep understanding of Datong, Pingcheng, and the short but glorious Northern Wei Dynasty.

But overall, the ticket price of 40 yuan is quite cost-effective for such a sightseeing experience, especially for fans of "Dream of Red Mansions", it is worth a visit.
The Rongguo Mansion in Zhengding is a tourist attraction of great cultural value and appeal. As the filming location for the 1987 version of "Dream of the Red Chamber," it was meticulously constructed based on the original novel. Its meticulously laid out interior features three parallel corridors, central, east, and west, and a five-courtyard quadrangle. This layout embodies the grandeur of an official family during the Ming and Qing dynasties, vividly showcasing the prosperity and sophistication of the Jia Mansion. 1:1 replicas of classic scenes such as Rongxi Hall, Yihong Courtyard, and Xiaoxiang Pavilion, as well as exquisite props like the fireplace in Wang Xifeng's room and the ebony-inlaid silver chopsticks used at Jia Mu's banquets, transport visitors through time and space, immersing them in the world of "Dream of the Red Chamber." Performances at the scenic spot are also a highlight. Short skits like Baochai catching butterflies and Daiyu burying flowers offer a highly immersive experience. Furthermore, the Rongguo Mansion regularly hosts lectures and cultural forums by Redology experts to further explore and preserve the culture of "Dream of the Red Chamber." Overall, the ticket price of 40 yuan is quite cost-effective for such a sightseeing experience, especially for fans of "Dream of Red Mansions", it is worth a visit.
