Jiuzhaigou's beauty combines lakes, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, and forests. While its autumn foliage isn't as vibrantly red as that of Guangwu Mountain, it's even more stunning when combined with the water. Due to commitments at the end of October, I visited in mid-October, when the autumn colors were already in full bloom. Also, I didn't have time to visit the designated viewing platforms for two iconic locations (Figures 1 and 2), so I made sure to catch up the day before yesterday. I was very lucky. I took a high-speed train from Chengdu around 6 AM, then transferred to a bus, arriving at the scenic area by 10 AM. Just then, the sun broke through the thick clouds, slowly dispersing the fog – the perfect filter for photos. I returned to Chengdu that evening, feeling like a seasoned traveler. The autumn colors at Five-Flower Lake were also at their peak (Figures 2-4). Hiking 3,000 meters down from the highest point of the primeval forest, Grass Lake and Swan Lake offer another kind of beauty (Figures 5 and 6). Pearl Shoal and Shuzheng Waterfall (last two photos) look even more beautiful in the sunlight?
The scenery is absolutely stunning, a beauty that no camera can capture. Transportation is very convenient, whether you're going from the high-speed rail station to the scenic area or taking a bus within the area. There are also plenty of places to eat within the scenic area, and the prices are reasonable.

The panda base is very nice! I hope everyone will come and see the pandas and pandas 🐼 PS: Just a quick rant. At the panda nursery area, there seemed to be some baby pandas surrounded by a huge group of people with long lenses and cameras, taking pictures nonstop (as shown in picture 3, blurred). I stood there for half an hour waiting, but they still wouldn't leave; it was still the same group of people with long lenses. I mean, what are we supposed to see if you're blocking our view? Can't you just stop taking pictures already? It's really infuriating. I also suggest that the scenic area strengthen its monitoring and management in this regard, and advise those with poor manners to improve the experience for the majority of visitors.
A must-visit spot in Chengdu, easily accessible by public transportation. The giant and baby pandas are natural entertainers, providing immense emotional value while also imparting knowledge. Each panda is a unique and adorable angel; you don't necessarily have to be a fan of just one.

Dujiangyan is truly a must-see! As a World Cultural Heritage site, it showcases the great wisdom of our ancestors. The Fish Mouth water diversion, the Feisha Weir flood control, and the Baopingkou water intake—these three major engineering projects work in perfect harmony, continuing to benefit the people for over two thousand years, a truly awe-inspiring feat. The scenery within the scenic area is also exceptionally beautiful, with the rushing river and lush greenery. Strolling along the paths, you can appreciate the grandeur of the water conservancy project while experiencing the tranquility of nature. The carved beams and painted rafters of the South Bridge are particularly exquisite, and at night, when illuminated, they are breathtakingly beautiful. Here, you can learn a wealth of knowledge about water conservancy while enjoying the pleasant natural scenery—a truly unforgettable journey that combines culture and beauty.
Dujiangyan is over 60 kilometers from Chengdu city. The entrance fee to the scenic area is 80 yuan, and the sightseeing bus is 15 yuan, which I don't think is necessary. It's a very short walk. There's also an escalator to the top of the mountain; I don't know how much that costs. Baopingkou (Bottle-Neck Pass) is very beautiful; the river water is green. I didn't get to see the blue tears phenomenon at night.

Booking service was good - it is a popular place and would have been stressful to get tickets on our own. It has 2 sessions - we got the afternoon one as we were on our own and we had time to travel from Chengdu. We took the HSR to Sanxingdui station and then a shuttle bus to the museum (shuttle bus cost 2 CNY). There is an underground tunnel to cross the road to the museum and there’s plenty of food outlets to get a bite. Museum only has a small coffee cafe. Exhibits are laid out in 3 halls across 2 floors. We went first to Hall 3 to see the divine tree before the tour groups came up from halls 1 n 2. But it was still pretty crowded. The exhibits unearthed were exquisite and it is humbling to think that greater civilizations existed before us. And with passing of time, ours will decay too
Teacher Kaige's explanations were incredibly clear and logical, progressing step-by-step from the origins of cultural relics to their cultural significance. His language was both accessible and insightful, and the three-hour lecture was anything but boring. The children listened with rapt attention and even learned many interesting facts not found in their textbooks! The service throughout was also meticulous and thoughtful. A small group chat was created beforehand, providing helpful information on how to get to the meeting point using various transportation options. "Big Shots Talk" offers high-quality service and is highly recommended! 👍👍👍

I took my child there in May. If you like historical figures, poetry, and prose, it's a great place to visit. The environment is beautiful, and the bamboo forest and thatched cottages are very appealing to people from Northeast China. Unfortunately, we should have hired a guide, as that would have made the overall experience even better. It's definitely worth a visit.
It's easy to hail a taxi nearby, the environment is great, and the cultural atmosphere is strong. I highly recommend bringing children here, as they can not only cultivate their minds but also broaden their horizons. The only drawback is that there are basically no restaurants near the main entrance, so getting food can be a problem.

The three-minute cable car ride felt like looking at a mountain bonsai the whole time 😂 We took cable car number 1, which had large cabins and ran smoothly. Although it wasn't cheap, it really saved us a lot of walking, so it was worth it.
Mount Emei, also known as Mount Emei[22], is a branch of the Qionglai Mountains. It is located on the southwestern edge of the Sichuan Basin in China, between 29°16′ and 29°43′ north latitude and 103°10′ and 103°37′ east longitude. It rises from the Emei Plain and extends north and south for 105 kilometers. The main peaks are Mount Da'e, Mount Er'e, Mount San'e, and Mount Si'e. Mount Da'e is the Emei Mountain Scenic Area, covering an area of 154 square kilometers. The main peak is the Golden Summit, and the highest peak, Wanfo Peak, is 3099 meters above sea level.

Chengdu's Wuhou Temple is the only Three Kingdoms holy site in China where a ruler and his ministers are worshipped together. For 50 yuan, you can visit Tang Dynasty steles, Qing Dynasty sculptures, and Liu Bei's tomb, then take some popular photos of the "red walls and bamboo shadows." Jinli Ancient Street is right outside the temple. Must-see highlights: ① Tang Dynasty Stele (“Three Perfections Stele”) – Inscribed by Pei Du and calligraphed by Liu Gongchuo, the earliest above-ground Three Kingdoms stele in China. ② Civil/Military Officials Corridor – 14 Qing Dynasty painted sculptures, showcasing the “all-stars” of Shu Han. ③ Liu Bei Hall – Gilded imperial statue + grandson Liu Chen as an attendant; a Ming Dynasty stele in front of the hall records the origin of the “joint worship of emperor and ministers”. ④ Zhuge Liang Hall – Hanging plaques inscribed “Famous Throughout the Universe” and “Jingyuan Hall”; statues of three generations of Zhuge Liang and his grandson + Zhao Fan’s “Winning Hearts and Minds Couplet”. ⑤ Sanyi Temple – Relocated by Emperor Kangxi, the only official temple dedicated to the oath of brotherhood between Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei in the Peach Garden. ⑥ Huiling Red Wall – The joint tomb of Liu Bei and his two empresses; the red walls and bamboo shadows along the path are Chengdu’s most photogenic spot. The only temple in China with “joint worship of emperor and ministers”, 50 After seeing all the Tang Dynasty steles, Qing Dynasty sculptures, and Liu Bei's tomb, and then taking advantage of the "Eternal Wisdom and Virtue" special exhibition, you can head straight to Jinli for some barbecue after taking photos of the red walls and bamboo shadows in the evening. This is a quick 1.5-hour tour for Three Kingdoms fans, and a whole day for culture enthusiasts.
The location is quite convenient, with a subway station nearby. The park isn't very large, but it has a rich cultural heritage. You can experience the culture of the Three Kingdoms period. Jinli Ancient Town is also nearby, which is worth a visit. Overall, a good experience.

I watched the movie "The Mysterious Buddha" when I was a child and always wanted to see it for myself. I finally made it. I called a ride-hailing service to enter from the North Gate, but when I arrived at this so-called North Gate, it wasn't the actual North Gate of the scenic area at all. I still had to walk a long way to reach the real North Gate.
I experienced both the boat tour and the mountain climb, and each had its own unique charm. The boat tour offers a panoramic view of the Buddha, while the mountain climb allows for a closer look at the details—both were breathtaking. The only thing to note is that the steps leading down to the Buddha's feet are very steep, so it's best to wear non-slip shoes and walk slowly.

Worth the visit i walk up and down took me 5h doing the loops. Worth the journey with all the temple.
Qingcheng Mountain is definitely worth a visit! Remember to buy a bamboo pole at the foot of the mountain beforehand, as the journey is long and the mountain path is rugged. However, the joy of climbing lies in the exercise and self-improvement. The moment you reach the summit, you'll feel it was all worthwhile. We didn't take the cable car at all, visited several filming locations from Journey to the West, and spent a total of 5 hours going up and down the mountain. It was so much fun!

The scenery was breathtaking, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. All the supplies on the mountain were carried up step by step by human labor 🥹, so don't think 10 yuan for a sausage is expensive; I don't think it's expensive at all. The prices are already very fair considering that everything relies solely on human labor for transporting goods and garbage up and down the mountain. Definitely take the cable car up!! My knees and legs were already aching from just coming down 🥹. I was gritting my teeth and breathing oxygen the whole way, but it was worth it!!
