We have to give a big thumbs up to Director Hao for his explanation of this trip! Director Hao was very considerate and added WeChat in advance to remind us of various precautions. First, a huge thumbs-up to our excellent guide, Hao! This time, Hao provided the guide's tours of both the Shenyang Palace and Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence. For nearly four hours, Hao's explanations were meticulous and professional, with excellent timelines and itineraries, avoiding crowded areas. He meticulously explained the layout and functions of several key buildings in the Grand Marshal's Mansion and Zhao Yidi's Former Residence, and highlighted key historical milestones for both Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang. He offered us not only a glimpse of each building, but also tangible historical moments. A truly fantastic experience!
The Marshal's Mansion is nice. The Grand Blue Building is a beautiful Roman architectural style. I paid extra for the tour guide to explain it and it was very interesting. However, the weather was not good and there were many people even when it rained.

The waters of Bangchuidao are incredibly clear and clean, arguably the cleanest in Dalian. I'd read reviews saying the waters at Jinshitan, farther from the city, were cleaner, so I took a taxi for over an hour to get there. The waters there were similar to those in Beidaihe and Nandaihe—all sandy and muddy. The Bangchuidao coastline is artificially maintained, with many pebbles, and the sand must have been buried underneath, so the waters are very clean. However, the area is small, and the sightseeing buses enter and exit through the south gate. My speedboat driver had previously told me that the north gate would lead to Haizhiyun. I did some research and found the walk to the north gate is nearly 2 kilometers. Then, to Haizhiyun, it's definitely for those with a good stamina.
The total visit lasted about three hours (including finding the way, taking photos, and walking out of the park).
The water was crystal clear!! There were so many small animals!!
Hai Zhi Yun really took my feet off. The hike was hot and tiring. While the water was clear, the beach was small and crowded. I highly recommend Bangchuidao over Hai Zhi Yun! It's the most beautiful beach I've ever seen in Dalian. You can grab a mat and lie on the beach, enjoying the breeze, the sound of the waves and the chirping of seagulls, and the sun. It's so relaxing.

The Liaoning Provincial Museum has a large collection of exhibits, and the explanations are very detailed and informative. I learned a lot from the two and a half hour explanation. I thank the tour guide for his wonderful explanation.
I finally had the chance to visit the Liaoning Provincial Museum, a provincial museum jointly built by the national and local governments. It had been on my wish list for a long time, but I finally managed to pull it off today. Since its relocation to the new building in Hunnan District, Shenyang, the exhibition area has been greatly expanded, allowing more of the museum's collection to be seen, which is definitely a major benefit. I confirmed before the trip that the museum's true treasures were all at home, not traveling or on loan. However, the finest paintings and calligraphy were digitized and displayed in VR, so I couldn't see them in person. The Liaoning Provincial Museum is absolutely not to be missed.

The water cave is ok, you don't need to rent a coat, just wear long pants and long sleeves with a disposable raincoat. (Mid-August) The dry cave is boring, the Taizi River cruise takes 20 minutes, and you can only stay in the cabin.
