We proceeded directly to level 2 using our passports for entry. Unable to explore everything even though we spent 9hrs there. Wouldn't mind paying for 2nd day entry to explore other sections & split the travel into 2 days instead of 1. Should have heeded the locals' advice and skipped huanglong, which was very mild compared JZG.
This was my first time visiting this place, and it wasn't as amazing as the media hyped it up. It's just a high-altitude lake with clean water. The景区 management and services were very professional, and the prices weren't as high as I expected (maybe it's the off-season), which is commendable! Half a day is enough to visit.

The scenery in the scenic area is beautiful. The only regret is that it was foggy in the morning, so we didn't see the sunrise. The mountains and water are beautiful. It's a pity that we didn't have time to walk the whole Runwu Valley. I will definitely go again if I have the chance!
If you have plenty of time and energy, you can skip the ladder and just climb it. I'm a complete newbie, haha. I arrived after 5 PM and headed straight to the viewing platform for photos. The scenic area is actually quite large, so you can walk around and take a stroll. A few other little-known facts: the ladder changes direction around 8 PM and you can descend; it gets very windy and cold at the viewing platform in the evening, so wear warm clothes; flying a drone with a wide-angle lens gives you a chance to capture the sunset and moon in the same frame.

Guange Valley is divided into two scenic areas: Guanzhu Valley and E'man Valley. Leigu Mountain is located within Guanzhu Valley. The ticket is valid for two days. On the first day, we visited Guanzhu Valley and took the cable car up Leigu Mountain. On the second day, we visited E'man Valley. Overall, it was a good experience. However, the two scenic areas are 17 kilometers apart, and there is no direct bus. You can only drive or take a taxi.
Guanegou is a very beautiful place. Take the official bus of the scenic area and walk a short distance inside to see waterfalls one after another. It is very photogenic and beautiful!

Huanglong Scenic Area is highly recommended overall, as it boasts abundant travertine formations. It's suggested to take the shuttle bus from Parking Lot 2, then the cable car uphill, and subsequently walk or take another shuttle bus to the Five-Colored Pools. Finally, walk out from the main entrance. This allows for a loop without backtracking.
Convenient and easy to book. Great shuttle transfer services, professional driver and a clean environment on the bus.

First, park your car at the entrance to the attraction. There's a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient. Then, take the shuttle bus up the mountain. After circling for about 30 minutes, you'll reach the summit. There's a small museum with stunning views. Then, you'll start a fascinating walk, weaving and weaving, sometimes up slopes, sometimes into caves. It's quite interesting. After an hour or two of this, you'll reach another parking spot, take the shuttle bus back to the attraction ticket office, and then pick up your car and go home. The entire journey takes at least six hours. I personally think it's worth it. The entrance fee is a bit expensive.
Kongtong Mountain, located in Pingliang, Gansu, was a fortress on the ancient Silk Road, reaching a peak elevation of 2,123 meters. It is one of the birthplaces of Taoism, where Emperor Huangdi, the Qin Emperor, and Emperor Wu of Han sought enlightenment. Kongtong martial arts are also renowned. Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism coexist on Kongtong Mountain. On October 17th, we witnessed the first snowfall of 2025 on Kongtong Mountain. The autumn mist and snowscape were breathtakingly beautiful. We took a scenic shuttle bus from Kongtong Ancient Town to Zhongtai, then walked to Xiangshan, visiting all the major scenic spots and taking photos. The hike took about five hours.

It's definitely worth the trip, provided the weather is good. Coming from Zhagana, we entered the scenic area around 5:00 AM. The weather was overcast, and I was torn about whether to go in. But since I was already there, I decided to go in and see what was happening. I bought a ticket and took the scenic shuttle bus into the area. The air was fresh and the crowds were minimal. I walked along the wooden plank road, stopping and taking photos, watching the sun break through the clouds, hoping the heavens would be kinder to us. Around 5:30 AM, the sun finally broke through the clouds, shimmering onto the golden wetlands. It was breathtakingly beautiful, and the trip was well worth it.
The prairie wetlands in the scenic area are very beautiful, and people and various animals live in harmony. In particular, the red-billed gulls flying in the sky are very beautiful. I also love the prairie air elves and groundhogs!

🌟Shenxianchi Scenic Area Highlights and Travel Guide🌟 I. Scenic Area Features and Popularity Highlights 1. Condensed Natural Wonders - Known as a "miniature Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong," it integrates alpine lakes, travertine pools, and primeval forests, creating a delicate and exquisite landscape. - Lotus Terrace Pools: The uniquely shaped stone dams are colorful, resembling a "colorful lotus terrace"; Fairy Pools: Three interconnected pools, like a fairy bathing. - World's Fastest Travertine Deposition: The travertine deposition rate is 10 times that of Huanglong, making it extremely valuable for scientific research. 2. Real Visitor Reviews - "Small but Beautiful" Experience: Compared to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, the scenic area is more compact, suitable for a short visit, and praised as "worth the trip." - Autumn Scenery: In the golden autumn season, the colorful pools and forests intertwine, creating a dreamlike "mirror of the sky." - Comfortable Altitude: At only 2200 meters, it is suitable for those sensitive to altitude sickness. Sedan chairs can also be rented for easy exploration. II. Practical Travel Information 1. Tickets and Fees - Peak Season (June 1 - November 16): Ticket 100 RMB/person, electric cart 40 RMB/person (walking available). - Off-Season (November 17 - May 31 of the following year): Tickets from 95 RMB, high cost-performance ratio. 2. Opening Hours - Peak Season: 08:00-18:00 - Off-Season: 09:00-16:30 - Recommended visit duration: 3-4 hours, avoid entering after 2 PM. 3. Transportation Guide - By Car/Chartered Car: Approximately 1 hour from Jiuzhaigou County, with scenic views of the "Twenty-Eight Turns" mountain road along the way. - High-Speed Rail + Transfer: Chengdu → Jiuzhaigou Station (High-Speed Rail) → Transfer to bus or chartered car. 4. Featured Activities - Horse Riding and Rafting: Horse riding is available in the horse trail scenic area; experience the thrill of 4km rafting on the Heihe River. - Dining Services: There is a restaurant at the entrance offering outdoor barbecue. III. Reasons for Tourist Recommendation - Avoid Crowds: Compared to Jiuzhaigou, it's less crowded, offering a more tranquil experience. - Flexible Itinerary Planning: It can be combined with a day trip to Jiuzhaigou (1.5-hour drive) or used as a transit stop for those traveling to or from Jiuzhaigou Airport. - Seasonal Suitability: Autumn brings vibrant colors, while winter offers serene snowscapes; there's beauty to be found in every season. Summary: Shenxianchi (Fairy Pool) has become a new favorite in Western Sichuan tourism due to its "condensed version of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong + low altitude + high cost-effectiveness," suitable for tourists seeking natural wonders and a comfortable experience. It is recommended to book tickets in advance and plan your time accordingly to fully enjoy this "gift left by fairies"!
Personally, I think it's definitely worth a visit. To get to Shenxianchi (Fairy Pool), you have to cross 28 hairpin bends within the scenic area and a mountain pass (Nenensangcuo) at an altitude of approximately 3800 meters. This journey alone is very rewarding. As the altitude increases, you'll see grasslands, forests, snow-capped mountains, and various other beautiful landscapes in a short time, experiencing different weather conditions. The roads within the scenic area are well-maintained. Once you reach the scenic area, the scenery is like a mini-version of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong combined, with lakes and travertine pools—enough to take plenty of photos. Importantly, during peak times when Jiuzhaigou is packed, this scenic area is much less crowded. In my four-hour visit in the morning, I encountered fewer than 50 tourists—truly a double win of beautiful scenery and efficient travel!

It's beautiful, refreshing, and amazing. A mountain pass you'll return to again, a place you'll never forget, a place destined to empty yourself and then recharge. A hike up Laji Mountain is a surefire way to escape the hustle and bustle of the mountains. You won't be fooled, and you'll be surrounded by breathtaking scenery and grandeur.
🍎We went to Ta'er Monastery first after getting off the plane. The second stop was Laji Mountain. It had just snowed before May Day, and the snow covered the dry and yellow mountains, which was very beautiful; 🍎The mountain road was winding and the altitude rose quickly, so the child had slight altitude sickness and vomited. Fortunately, the driver had oxygen tanks in the car 🍎It was beautiful to fly a drone on the mountain, magnificent and majestic

The Qilian Mountains cover a wide area, stretching 800 kilometers at the junction of Qinghai and Gansu provinces. Because there is a place called Qilian County, it is generally regarded as the Qilian Mountains. In fact, the surrounding areas of Qinghai Lake, including the surrounding areas of Xining City, such as Riyue Mountain and Laji Mountain, are part of the Qilian Mountains. Each peak has its own name and its own legend. There is a mountain in the north and south of Xining City. Locals call them "Nanshan" and "Beishan". Nanshan is almost in the city, and more people go there. Beishan is a little far away, and almost no tourists go there. It is the citizens of Xining who come here to relax and have a picnic on weekends with their families and food. The natural scenery of Beishan is very beautiful. Almost all the most typical scenery of Qilian Mountains can be found here. The altitude is not high, especially on the sunny slopes, where the vegetation is very lush. You don’t need to buy tickets to enter the scenic spot. You can drive around the mountain as the locals please, walk slowly and look around all the way. When you see a place with particularly beautiful scenery, you can stay for a while. It is really comfortable!

One of the four grottoes, the history and culture are very good! It's just that the flow of people in the summer is a bit large, the conditions of the grotto itself are a bit tired (long queue time). It takes two or three hours to really visit the play.
The Maijishan Grottoes are really shocking! From afar, the solitary peak rises up, shaped like a stack of wheat. Walking into the grottoes, the Buddha statues are carved vividly, and the colors of the murals are still bright and moving after years. Every detail is full of the wisdom and hard work of ancient craftsmen. Coming here is like traveling through time and space, and having an artistic dialogue with the ancients, which is very rewarding.
