The scenery here is beautiful, with bamboo covering the mountains. I wisely chose to travel by bus the whole way to get to the provincial capital. I genuinely envy the two giant pandas, Huali and Xing&#39;an, who live here. I took a lot of photos. Even though it wasn&#39;t a day off, it was packed with people. The hotel I booked even gave me tickets, so I could go in and check in multiple times &ndash; so convenient!

During the National Day holiday, the lines were long, and the sheer number of visitors diminished the experience.

The pandas were still adorable, though, and it was fun to quietly watch them eat after the crowds had dispersed in the evening.
