The main attraction is the crater. To ride a hot air balloon, you must go early in the morning. It costs 300 yuan per person, takes 6-8 minutes, and each balloon seats 6-8 people. The highest point reaches about 200 meters, at an altitude of approximately 2000 meters. From the air, you can overlook the Dakongshan crater. If you're traveling with elderly people, I recommend climbing Xiaokongshan (smaller crater), which has about 100+ stairs, while Dakongshan has over 1000. I bravely took the hot air balloon ride, thinking it was worth trying, but make sure to hold your phone securely 📱, and it's best to bring a phone strap to keep it on your body 😜
There wasn't much to see inside besides the hot air balloons, so I didn't ride any. Instead, I climbed 597 steps to the top of Dakong Mountain and then took a full-range hot air balloon ride. Apparently, you can see the crater from the balloons, but it looked quite far away. The ride around was pretty quick. It was alright.

The petrified trees in the Precious Plant Garden are very valuable. We also saw other unusual rocks and rare tree species, making it a great place for parents with children to learn about science. The Shwedagon Pagoda is magnificent and awe-inspiring. We visited at 5 pm, and it was resplendent and solemn under the setting sun. Definitely worth a visit.
I originally planned to see the peacocks, but it rained that day, and the peacocks looked like plucked chickens, not very attractive. However, the stones inside are priceless, and there are many rare and precious treasures, making it worth seeing. It's also very close to the Tree Pagoda.

I'd previously tried Sentosa Island in Singapore, and since I was in Dali this time and there was a go-kart racing event, I decided to check it out. They're two different experiences; Singapore focuses on thrills and excitement, while Dali's appeal lies in its beautiful scenery. Therefore, they can't be compared directly. However, Yunxiang Mountain truly offers unparalleled views. The entrance overlooking Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain, shrouded in mist, is like a fairyland. It seems like the best spot to watch the sunset, but unfortunately, the timing wasn't right, and I missed it. In summary, Yunxiang Mountain is a scenic spot that Dali has developed in the last two years, suitable for camping, watching the sunset, and go-karting. I hope it won't be overly commercialized and ruin this beautiful place.
I'd played it in Singapore before, and when I saw it was also available in Dali, I decided to add it to my itinerary. It didn't disappoint; I had three rides and was completely blown away, especially my son. Compared to Singapore, the slides are longer and the scenery is even more beautiful. I highly recommend it. To avoid peak traffic, we went around 5:00 PM. While the sun was still strong, there weren't many lines. Aside from a short wait for the cable car, everything else went smoothly. After our three rides, the sun was almost setting. The scenery was stunning, and many influencers were livestreaming the experience. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip.

Very good experience. The environment is very good. The staff is also very responsible and very patient. This is the best hot spring I have ever been to. The receptionist at the front desk is also very good. Overall, I had a very happy time.
The spa at Angsana is really great. There are many types of outdoor hot spring pools, the environment is very beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and there are also treatments. We decided to go to the hot springs on a last minute basis and bought swimsuits on site. All the staff were very welcoming. The bath towels were warm and freshly disinfected. We went in the evening and many guests had already left. We had almost the entire outdoor facilities of the hot springs to ourselves. The experience was extremely perfect.

There are more than 20 hot spring pools with various types and good service. There are more people than usual during the Spring Festival holiday, but the organization is still in order and the facilities are complete. It is a good hot spring experience. There are many people eating and dining. Going a little later can reduce the queue and find a seat. People with inconvenience in legs and feet should consider it carefully. The hot spring pools are layered and you can't avoid going up and down stairs. It feels like you need to climb 7 or 8 floors of stairs from the lowest restaurant to the upper dressing room.
The initial positioning was very high-end, and the initial design was also good. After a few years of operation, the service and operation have become a bit lagging. The hot spring resources are good, and the supporting facilities are a bit behind, but overall it is still ranked fourth after Bailian, Banyan Tree, and Yugu.

At the southern end of Erhai Lake, the first stop on a tour of the Cangshan and Erhai Scenic Area is the park. Within the park lies a small, oval-shaped hill, known locally as "Tuanshan" for its shape, and the park is also known as "Tuanshan Park."
Tuanshan is famous for having served as a deer farm for the Nanzhao royal family during the Tang Dynasty.
The mountain is covered in lush green pines and boasts renowned camellias, azaleas, cherries, and osmanthus trees.
The summit boasts pavilions, verdant corridors, a waterside pavilion, a zoo, a teahouse, cold drink shops, and restaurants.
The beachfront offers a water park, a nursery greenhouse, and a swimming pool.
Climbing the stairs to the summit, the Wanghai Tower features a plaque inscribed with the words "Jade Erhai, Silver Canghai" by the renowned Chinese artist Wu Zuoren.
From the pavilion's railing, one can gaze out across the vast Erhai Lake, its azure waters dotted with fishing boats and clusters of tugboats, creating a truly spectacular sight.
To the east, Fengshan Mountain rises majestically, while to the west, the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stand tall like a screen. The ancient city of Dali, along with the pagoda of Hongsheng Temple in the south and the three pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in the north, are faintly visible.
