This wildlife park is packed with interactive experiences and highly recommended for family trips. Almost all the animals are interactive; you can even pet the gentler ones like the Kapibala. You can feed the large carnivores, especially the bears near the entrance, for which there's a specially built viewing platform. The tigers are also available for feeding, and you can even take photos with the cubs up close. The only downside is the climb; the sightseeing bus only covers about 60% of the route…
I was still having fun teasing the birds and deer when a giraffe suddenly stretched its head out so enthusiastically that I fell on my backside. It probably thought my green shoulder-strap mascot was its food, not because it liked me that much. I was such a coward.

I made several herbal sachets by hand in Dawa Village, Lijiang Ancient Town Scenic Area, to give to family and friends. When choosing the herbs, I considered their preferences (one for my mother to calm her nerves, one for my best friend to repel mosquitoes), and every stitch I sewed carried my blessings. These little sachets, imbued with the essence of Lijiang's herbs and my heartfelt sentiments, are far more meaningful than any ready-made souvenir!
I didn't have high expectations for this kind of performance, but I was completely won over by "Lijiang Eternal Love". The stage design was ingenious; the seats moved with the story, offering surprises from different angles. Although the plot was a condensed history, it wasn't stiff at all, but told in a gentle, storytelling style that even children found captivating. The dancers' movements were particularly powerful, especially the group dances, which were incredibly impressive.

Visiting the Mu Palace during the day is the best time to truly appreciate its grandeur. The architectural lines, courtyard layers, and carved beams and painted rafters are all clearly visible in the sunlight, relying solely on their natural beauty without any nighttime filter. The overall scale is considerable, and as you walk around, you can feel the confidence of the Mu family, who once held absolute power in Lijiang. The highlights are the expansive views and meticulous layout. Standing on higher ground overlooking the ancient city, you instantly understand why they could rule for centuries. The downsides are the large number of tourists and the somewhat official-sounding guide signs, but these don't prevent you from taking stunning photos. Overall: Worth a visit, especially during the day to truly appreciate its scale and details.
A nighttime stroll through Lijiang Old Town is a double dose of healing, a blend of light and shadow and vibrant atmosphere. Red lanterns line the stone-paved streets, the Jade River flows gently, reflecting the silhouettes of the Naxi wooden houses. The Dongba script lanterns on Oil-Paper Umbrella Street and Zhenxing Lane offer countless atmospheric photo opportunities. The bonfire dancing at Sifang Street is the most lively, with Naxi grandmothers leading tourists in song and dance, their laughter echoing through the alleys. In the quiet bars around the corners, folk songs mingle with the aroma of plum wine, while electronic music from upbeat bars creates a unique energy. Donning ethnic costumes for a photoshoot near the waterwheel and the stone bridge, the flower-adorned shops and flowing water create stunning backdrops for pictures. Lion Hill's Wangu Tower offers a panoramic view; under the night sky, the old town lights twinkle like stars, both serene and magnificent. Although the bar street is a bit noisy and commercialized, it remains orderly, with volunteers and tourist police readily available to assist. Tips: Wear comfortable shoes for the cobblestone streets, and ask about prices before making purchases to avoid being ripped off. The ancient city at night offers both a lively, bustling atmosphere and a tranquil feeling as you stroll through its alleys, making it a place worth immersing yourself in.

The 3-hour explanation was excellent, the timing was just right, and it wasn't tiring at all even with elderly people. I'm very grateful to Mr. Xiong Lin, the teacher who gave us the explanation; it was truly wonderful!
I went to the Yunnan Provincial Museum today, and Mr. Liu's explanation was excellent. His language was easy to understand, and he even pointed out small details about the artifacts. It was both easy to understand and interesting; I highly recommend everyone see him! If you enjoy guided tours, I think you should buy the 2.5-hour pass, because 2 hours is simply not enough.

Nighttime tickets are cheaper, but wait times are shorter than during the day, allowing for a wider range of attractions, and the Torch Festival is also lively. The park's design reflects strong ethnic characteristics and cultural heritage. Objectively speaking, annual passes are relatively inexpensive, and for families traveling with children, you can rent very affordable B&Bs (over 1,000 yuan per month, or under 100 yuan per day), perfect for both study and leisure activities. However, the planned location fails to fully leverage the unique character of Dianchi Lake. Due to its locational constraints, its food, living facilities, and transportation are inferior to those of the main urban area. For example, the local economy (Jinning District) may be problematic. The road between the main urban area and the park is unlit early in the evening, and the road is uneven in some areas.
Adults can bring their children to play, and both adults and children will have a lot of fun. It is impossible to play here in one day. The food inside is relatively expensive, so it is best to bring some food with you. Some areas may be slightly cheaper, but generally it is more expensive than outside. Don't buy raincoats outside, as the water activities inside are all free. When I left, I took a picture of the beautiful sunset, which was very photogenic. It's a pity that I didn't get to play many activities with my baby, but the older children didn't want to leave after having so much fun.

[August Xizhou Ancient Town: In the rice fields and Bai customs, meet the romance of summer] August Xizhou Ancient Town is a treasure land filled with greenery and fireworks! Less than half an hour's drive from the ancient city of Dali, just got off the bus and was surprised by the endless rice fields at the entrance of the village. The green rice waves undulating with the wind, and some egrets passed by. The blue sky and white clouds lined the white tiles and white walls of the Bai people's houses. No wonder everyone runs here with their cameras. Time in the ancient town is very slow. The stone road is winding and twisting, and there are intact Bai old houses on both sides. The darts and the carved doors and windows are all exquisite. Walking in is like breaking into the time museum. The key point is to praise the Yanjia Courtyard, not only to see the exquisiteness of Bai architecture, but also to understand the history of Xizhou business gangs. The pomegranate trees in the yard are full of fruits, especially the atmosphere of life. In August, just in time for the local fruit peak season! The roadside stalls are full of yellow figs, sweet grapes, and freshly picked blueberries, affordable and fresh. Of course, Xizhou is indispensable. It is recommended to bake sweet mouths (rose filling) and salted mouths (pork end), the outer skin is crispy and the inner is soft, with a cup of milk fan Shaqima, and the carbide is happy to be directly full. I found a small shop by the river and sat down to eat, watched the flowing water, listened to the locals chatting in dialect. It's so pleasant. In the afternoon, you can rent a bicycle to ride along the rice fields, blow the wind through the fields, pass the villagers' vegetable fields and ponds, and feel the most simple pastoral scenery. In the evening, the light on the edge of the rice field became soft, taking pictures with filters, and many newcomers took wedding photos here, which was very romantic. The only thing to note is that it is a bit sun-dried in the afternoon of August, remember to do a good job of sun protection; there are a little more tourists on the main street of the ancient town, but you can find a cleanliness when you turn into the alley, suitable for slowly shaking. Overall, Xizhou does not have the hustle and bustle of Dali Ancient City, but has more idyllic and humanistic heritage. Come here in August, like putting the beauty of the whole summer in your hands, recommend it to friends who want to slow down and feel Dali ~
Well, the entire Dali Erhai Lake circle is about 80 kilometers long, and you will pass through many ancient towns in the middle, such as Xizhou Ancient Town. At the same time, there will be a lot of people renting cars, and you can also see many luxury cars. But you should pay attention to whether you choose to tour clockwise or counterclockwise. Sometimes, there will be more traffic jams in one direction.

A Half-Day at Green Lake: Hiding Kunming's Gentleness in a Lake of Lotus Leaves and Gulls' Cries Autumn in Kunming always carries a gentle, unhurried quality, and this gentle essence is largely hidden in Green Lake Park. Entering the park in the slanting afternoon sunlight, the first thing that catches the eye is the lake full of green leaves. A few lotus flowers, still holding their withered petals, don't appear desolate; instead, they add a touch of poetic beauty, like "leaving behind withered lotus leaves to listen to the sound of rain." The lake water is shallow, reflecting the weeping crabapple trees on the shore. A breeze blows, the branches sway gently, and the water's surface shatters into a shimmering sheet of gold. Walking slowly along the lakeside path, the path is paved with bluestone slabs, and pavilions and towers stand beside you. Elderly people sit under the shade of trees; some play chess, the sound of chess pieces hitting the board crisp and clear; others sing Yunnan opera, their melodious voices blending with the occasional cries of waterbirds skimming across the lake. Children chased bubbles, their laughter startling a few ducks who fluttered into the water, leaving ripples in their wake, before resurfacing to preen their feathers. As we reached the pavilion in the middle of the lake, a gentle breeze stirred. The willows along the shore drooped their thousands of branches like green curtains, brushing against our cheeks with the fresh scent of grass and trees. Inside the pavilion, an elderly man played the erhu, the melody of "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon" flowing softly, blending seamlessly with the lake and mountain scenery, making us slow down and want to cherish this moment of tranquility. As dusk fell, the setting sun bathed the lake in a warm orange glow. The distant Western Hills appeared and disappeared in the twilight, while nearby lotus lanterns lit up one after another, their light and shadow shimmering on the water, as if we had stumbled into a Jiangnan night. Sitting on a bench by the lake, watching tourists disperse in twos and threes, listening to the gentle lapping of the water against the shore, I suddenly understood why Kunming is called the "Spring City"—the wind here is warm, the scenery is gentle, and even time seems exceptionally generous, willing to linger for a moment for everyone who stops by. As I left, I glanced back at Green Lake in the night. It lacks the grandeur of famous mountains and rivers, but possesses a soothing warmth. This half-day, without the rush of hurried travel, only the leisurely pace, was like a gentle encounter, filling my heart with joy. Perhaps this is the charm of Green Lake; with its clear water, verdant shade, and the cry of a seagull, it tells every visitor: life should be like this, serene and beautiful. (Need me to adapt this article into a short caption suitable for WeChat Moments?)
I've also been to Cuihu Park. Most of it feels like any other city park, though there are some traditional Chinese-style buildings, such as the Guanyu Tower. The reflections of the blue sky and white clouds in the pond create a beautiful scene. If you're not in a rush to shop, you can spend half a day here enjoying a cup of tea. It's quite relaxing. Of course, there are also some young women snapping photos to enhance the scenery. There are many ancient ginkgo trees in the park, and it's hard to imagine how beautiful they must be when their leaves are golden.

Taiping Lake Forest Town is absolutely stunning, like stepping into a fairytale. My favorite spots are "In the Clouds," "Zixia Lake," and Monet's Garden—every photo is a true masterpiece. Taiping Lake was a truly worthwhile trip to Mile! You can rent electric carts within the scenic area, which is incredibly convenient! The restrooms are also incredibly clean, and the brown sugar ginger tea is incredibly thoughtful and warm!
The park is huge. We rented a four-seater electric car at the starting point. Having a car is great. We wandered around the park. First, we saw the bougainvillea flower wall, then the flower statue of Princess Taiping from a high vantage point. Then we went to the lily field. The fragrance was amazing and beautiful! The lake in the park is very quiet and perfect for lounging. Finally, we went to the desertification area. The cacti, prickly pear, pine trees, and red maple trees were beautiful.

Baisha Ancient Town has already achieved a similar effect to Lijiang Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town in their heyday, attracting many visitors to Lijiang who also make a point of visiting Baisha. This is a very positive development. The town boasts many uniquely decorated and charming shops, and some snack stalls are gradually developing their own specialties, extending their opening hours late into the night to cater to every need. When exploring this town, don't rely too much on recommendations; instead, explore on your own. Spend more time with friendly shopkeepers and listen to their stories – that's the best way to enjoy the experience. If you like, you can stay in one of the town's guesthouses and fully immerse yourself in the sunshine and freedom. However, many areas feel chaotic and disorganized. The main street is narrow yet constantly filled with vehicles, creating a chaotic atmosphere filled with shouting and swearing. Vehicles should be banned! Furthermore, some buildings have been renovated in a haphazard and inconsistent style, which is unacceptable. Maintaining the traditional architectural style is crucial for an ancient town. We hope the management will take this seriously.
Encounter Baisha Ancient Town and discover a different Lijiang. If you've grown tired of the hustle and bustle of Lijiang Old Town, Baisha Ancient Town promises a refreshing new experience. It feels like a hidden paradise nestled beneath the bustle, its tranquility and pristine beauty captivating the heart. Upon arrival, the iconic Baisha Memorial Archway catches your eye, its quaint charm imbued with the traces of time. Strolling along the bluestone streets, you'll find traditional Naxi architecture lined with wooden doors and windows, and carved eaves, inviting you to slow down and savor this rare, quaint charm. Commercialization is minimal here, with no cookie-cutter tourist souvenir shops. Instead, you'll find vibrant shops filled with local handicrafts and snacks, as well as charming cafes and teahouses. I highly recommend a visit to Yiwatang. The view from this café is truly breathtaking. Sitting by the window, you can clearly see the distant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, shrouded in mist and clouds, like a breathtaking landscape painting. Order a latte and a slice of tiramisu, and gaze out the window at the beautiful scenery. Time seems to slow down and become beautiful. The restaurant's decor is stylish, with wooden tables and chairs, warm yellow lighting, and a variety of green plants, creating a truly captivating atmosphere. Photographers shouldn't miss the Naxi Tribe Ranch. Here, you can don Tibetan clothing and take stunning photos against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. The blue sky, white clouds, snow-capped mountains and grasslands, and the colorful Tibetan clothing—every photo is sure to go viral on Instagram. The ranch also boasts adorable lambs, their furry fur is incredibly comforting. Holding one for a photo is truly adorable! Besides these, the Baisha murals are also worth a visit. These murals have a long history, incorporating elements from Tibetan Buddhism and Taoism. Their vibrant colors and delicate lines create a rich tapestry of cultural significance. Entering the mural museum is like traveling through time, engaging in a conversation with the ancients, and feeling the weight of history. As for food, the Shambhala Yak Milk Tea is a must-try. It's rich and creamy, similar to Cha Yan Yue Se, but with its own unique flavor. I couldn't get enough of it for two days straight. There's also the roadside grilled yak skewers, 5 yuan each. The meat is firm, sprinkled with chili flakes and cumin powder, and the aroma is incredibly satisfying. The popular flower steamed buns are also great. Although only 6 yuan each, they're large, sweet, and soft. The line can be a bit long, so you need to be patient. Transportation is also convenient. A taxi from Lijiang Old Town costs about 30 yuan and takes about half an hour. On the way back, you can share a bus near the archway back to the Old Town for 10 yuan per person. Baisha Old Town is uncrowded with tourists and not overly commercialized. It's simply a peaceful and beautiful place. Here, you can slow down, enjoy a leisurely time, and experience the purest Lijiang. I highly recommend a visit!

It's worth going. The scenery is great and it's completely pet-friendly. The puppy ran happily on the grassland. The ticket price is 18 per person, and children and seniors over 65 are free. If you drive a car including a driver, the ticket price is 98. It's worth it. I love the wave road experience.
You absolutely have to drive to Asili West Second Terrace! Bring snacks and sunscreen. We went in early August, so a thin shirt and pants and a vest were enough (also a shawl). Horseback riding costs 20 yuan, so take your time to bargain.
