I went in mid-July, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. If you drive in on your own, there are touts charging me 150 yuan to get in. I'd like to ask if this is the only way to drive into the scenic area?
The shuttle bus is very convenient, with many round trips and many cars. The scenery is also very good, but you need to stay long enough to enjoy it. When you go there, the road is under construction and it is very bumpy and uncomfortable. Apart from this, everything else is acceptable. The overall experience is okay. The cattle, sheep and the winding river are still worth seeing. It is very good. You can come and experience it.

The first bend of water seemed to cascade down from the horizon, like silver ribbons drifting across the boundless golden grass carpet of Hulunbuir. Cattle and horses scattered along the riverbank, their heads bowed, savoring the autumn light. Time seemed stretched by the winding river, leaving only this tranquility flowing leisurely between heaven and earth. The so-called poetry and distant horizons are simply witnessing how a river transforms loneliness into scenery, quietly telling the story of the grassland to the sky. Standing in the heart of Hulunbuir, I truly understood the prairie. The horizon stretched endlessly as far as the eye could see, leaving only the traces of the wind and the rolling breath of the grass. The distant mountains became a faint shadow, and the low-hanging clouds seemed within reach. Just a small question: Why are the windows on the sightseeing buses tinted? 🫢
Our first stop was the Morigele River. From the observation deck, the winding river looked like a giant dragon entwined in the wilderness. Set against the backdrop of the grassland, the azure water shone like a sapphire, a true masterpiece of nature. Having seen the grandeur of Kanas and the purity of Yamdrok Lake, the Morigele River presented a different kind of exquisite and harmonious beauty. Though the journey was over, the experience lingered on.

Ergun Wetland is a captivating natural paradise. Strolling through it feels like stepping into a vast ecological painting. The wetland's scenery changes with the seasons: spring brings a riot of flowers, summer offers lush greenery, autumn paints the forests in vibrant colors, and winter blankets the land in snow. Here, you can observe various rare birds up close, such as red-crowned cranes and swans, frolicking on the lake or soaring through the air, creating a harmonious and symbiotic scene. Wooden boardwalks are available within the wetland park; walking along them allows you to appreciate the magnificent scenery and experience the tranquility and peace of nature. However, mosquitoes are plentiful, so visitors are advised to take precautions. Overall, Ergun Wetland is an excellent destination that combines natural beauty, ecological protection, and leisure tourism, making it a place you'll want to return to again and again. Ergun Wetland is a gift from nature; being there feels like entering a vibrant, colorful dream. In spring, as the snow melts and nature awakens, the wetlands burst into vibrant life. Summer brings lush green grass and blooming flowers, making it an ideal retreat from the heat. Autumn paints the forests in vibrant colors, a tapestry of gold and fiery red, like a natural oil painting. Winter blankets the land in snow, a pristine white landscape, offering a unique northern charm. This is not only a paradise for birds but also for photographers, as rare birds like red-crowned cranes and swans soar freely, adding immeasurable vitality to the wetlands. Wooden boardwalks traverse the wetlands, allowing visitors to connect with nature without disturbing the ecosystem. However, be aware that mosquitoes are plentiful, so take precautions. Ergun Wetland, an unforgettable ecological haven, a journey for the soul to connect with nature.
The entrance fee and the sightseeing bus are a bit pricey. Actually, the bus is unnecessary, as the distance isn't very long. However, the bus and pedestrian routes overlap, so it might be inconvenient to skip the bus. This wetland is located in the city center and is smaller than the national wetland. The views are similar, but this one is mainly for bird's-eye views.

It's not far from the city. After entering the scenic area, take the scenic shuttle bus to the entrance of the birch forest. Then, walk along the scenic area all the way to the top of the mountain. There's a single road along the way. There are some attractions along the way, and there's a reindeer feeding station along the way. This costs money, but it's quite interesting. Reindeer are rare in the south. It's another 20-minute climb to the top. The scenery at the top is actually average. Two hours is enough to explore the entire area. This scenic area has average scenery, but it won't waste your time or trick you into anything. I think it's worth a visit.
You can take a sightseeing bus to the innermost part of the scenic area and then slowly explore it. At the end, you can climb to the top of a small hill for 20 minutes to look into the distance, and then take the bus back to the entrance. The tour is completed in half an hour.

It's really fun. They'll take you for a short ride, which is great if you're a bit more adventurous. The price is reasonable, and it's much better than the roadside trails. The scenery down to the top of the mountain is also beautiful, with the colorful wetlands breathtaking. If you're looking to ride horses, this is the place to go.
The instructor was very responsible and the communication was smooth. After contacting him, we added WeChat to redeem the coupon. We went to pick up the equipment and set off in the evening. There were about 20-30 people... After returning, we were divided into fast and slow riding teams, which we could choose. The service was regular and the fees were reasonable. I sold photos and videos for 30 yuan each, and everyone bought them.

During the National Day holiday in 2024, I went to Arxan in Daxing'anling, Inner Mongolia to enjoy the autumn. The Arxan Port, which borders Outer Mongolia, is also one of the attractions to visit. Just across the line is the former Chinese homeland, and I can't help but feel infinite emotion. The Chinese people must continue to work hard to ensure that the historical shame of the victorious country in World War II becoming the only country to lose nearly 1.6 million square kilometers of territory will never happen again!
It is a very worthwhile place to visit. Three days before the National Day, I took my two-year-old son to experience the greatness of the motherland! Standing in front of the national gate, looking up at the five-star red flag fluttering in the wind, a sense of pride arises in my heart. No matter where we are, we have a great motherland!

For me, the beauty of Shiwei lies more in the scenery along the way. From Ergun to Shiwei, the Ergun River stretches across the river from Russia. Shiwei offers a wide variety of B&Bs and restaurants, all with authentic cuisine. At dusk, the Shiwei sky is a vibrant pink, and walking along the road, detached from the hustle and bustle of the city, is a rare experience.
The Boundary River is quite beautiful. The boat cruises near the center of the river, very close to the Russian side, allowing for stunning views of both sides. Once on board, you can rent a telescope for a reasonable price, which gives you a clear view of the buildings on the other side. Also, during the cruise, passengers can go up to the second deck in two batches: those who want to see more of the Russian side's buildings are in the first group; those who want to see the Sino-Russian Friendship Bridge are in the second group. After crossing the Sino-Russian Friendship Bridge, the boat turns back, and all passengers must disembark and return to their cabins.

Among the several boundary river cruises, I feel that this is the most cost-effective one. You can just sit in one of the several places. They are similar and the price is low. The boundary river cruise is still worth a trip. Take the boat to the bridge and turn around. You can take pictures of the scenery on the other side along the way. The scenery is very good, and there is a small village on the other side.
Opposite was a village inhabited by Russians. We used binoculars to look at Russia, and the Russians also used binoculars to look at us. The boat trip took about 30 minutes, and we had to wait until there were 15 people before we could start the boat.

On the first day of the National Day holiday, I landed in Hailar, Hulunbuir, and spent the evening exploring Hulunbuir Ancient City! The ancient city's nightscape was ablaze with lights, and the distinctive ancient buildings were charming and charming. I tried a frozen pear, a local specialty, for 5 yuan each. Along the way, I browsed snacks, trinkets, shawls, scarves, hats, and other cultural and creative products. I even saw local Mongolians dancing. While the area didn't seem very large, the combination of antiques and history made it a truly scenic spot that blended the past and the present.
Listening to the tour guide, Hulunbuir Hailar has been rated as a national tourist city after many years of efforts. The ancient city of Hailar is not far from Genghis Khan Square. It is still full of lively at night. It is similar to the ancient cities across the country. It is selling goods.

Watching the sunset in Lishantou Town is a very good choice. I slept in the yurt in Heishantou for an afternoon. There was a group of horses eating grass beside the yurt, and the pony was playing with the big horse. It was cute and let me take a picture. Then I went to the nearby dining hall for dinner. After dinner, I came out and found that the sunset was so beautiful and took a few photos. Although there are many small mosquitoes on the grassland, it is worth taking protective measures to come here to play at the same time.
I was planted by a friend. I came here for the first time today. It was the same as my friend described it. It was very good! I really like a homestay in this place. It is called the Mustang Wuxu Tianbian B&B. The boss is southern. The details are very good. The service is good and clean. We stayed for three days and rode horses in their horse farm! The experience is super good.
