The package was a great value, well-planned, and the area was new, clean, and fun.
I was disappointed with Tonghu Grassland, so I went to Shapotou with some trepidation and was completely blown away. It was truly amazing.
Bringing my six-year-old was completely enjoyable; they were all able to enjoy the area. However, my parents, over 60, were almost never allowed to go, which was a bit disappointing. Fortunately, the scenic area has arranged a sightseeing bus route, so we were able to enjoy the scenery together.
I think the most worthwhile experience in Zhongwei is the Yellow River rafting. However, the weather is bad, it will stop when it rains and blows. Basically, Zhongwei depends on the weather. If it rains, there is nothing to do, including the desert area.

There is a water slide in the Sky One scenic spot of Chaka Salt Lake. Take the elevator to a high position, wear well equipped, and then sit on something similar to a rubber boat and slide down the track. Not exciting, but fun.

While in Zhongwei, I visited Tonghu Grassland (which actually put me in Inner Mongolia) and got to ride a horse for the first time. There were plenty of activities to do in the desert area, including go-karting, where you can drift while lying down. The only downside is the small size of the grassland, but overall, it's worth the trip!
