It is a Tibetan Buddhist temple worth visiting. It has a lot of content and you can spend two or three hours to visit it. If you are able, it would be better to ask for a guide. You can also listen to the guide like I did. The ticket price is quite reasonable compared to other places. There are buses in the city that can go there directly.
It takes half an hour by taxi from Xining city. There are a lot of people on weekends during the summer vacation. The one-on-one tour guide is not expensive.
