Enoshima is a beautiful and lively destination, but it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. I highly recommend renting a bicycle and riding from Katase-Enoshima Station—it’s a very pleasant and refreshing experience. However, please be aware that the slopes on the island are quite steep, so some areas may be challenging to cycle or walk up. The streets are lined with many interesting and bustling shops, adding to the fun and energetic atmosphe
A quick train ride from Tokyo - its best to get to Shibuya station to get the day tour package. This will save you money, and makes your trip seamless. Enoshima island is a nice getaway from busy Tokyo. I visit during LNY so its a bit crowded - shops and restaurants were almost always full. The climb to the top is not so difficult, they even have escalator/elevator options.

I've been to Arashiyama several times, always taking the train. I stumbled upon the Hozugawa rafting route, so I decided to take the Sagano train and raft down the Hozugawa River (ending at Togetsukyo Bridge). After getting off the train, I took a shuttle bus to the rafting site. The river isn't very full in the summer, but the scenery along the way is beautiful, and you can even see the train from time to time. The three boatmen were enthusiastic and engaged with the guests throughout the trip. The trip took an hour and forty minutes, but it wasn't boring at all. It was a great experience.
This was my second trip to Kyoto, and my first time riding the train, so I opted for rafting this time. I booked tickets in advance on Ctrip, with a 10:00 am appointment. On the day of the trip, I took the wrong subway and missed the boat, arriving at 10:45 am. I contacted Ctrip customer service several times, worried I'd miss the boat. They were incredibly patient and helped me email the Hozugawa Rafting customer service. Fortunately, they managed to schedule an 11:00 am boat for us. Thank you to Ctrip for your thoughtful, patient, and meticulous service. I continue to support Ctrip.

It was really beautiful under the setting sun, so this was also the benefit of going back from the end point. When I saw the coast of Shichirigahama, I felt a sense of déjà vu. After I came back, I remembered that this was the invasion! Isn’t it a scene from the Squid Girl comics?
The breeze was blowing gently, and only a few discordant debris on the beach reminded us that this land had been ravaged by a typhoon the day before. This is my favorite place in Kamakura, and there are so many people surfing here, it's so cool.

Amaharashi Coast – Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park | ReviewThe Amaharashi Coast, located in Toyama Prefecture within the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park, is a stunningly scenic spot where the sea meets the mountains in dramatic fashion.Scenic Beauty:The coast is famous for its picturesque views of the Tateyama Mountain Range across Toyama Bay. On clear days, the snow-covered peaks seem to float above the sea, offering one of Japan’s most iconic coastal landscapes. The coast is lined with pine trees and dotted with rocky formations, giving it a peaceful, almost timeless atmosphere.Cultural Highlights:One of the key attractions is Yoshitsune Rock, tied to the legend of the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who is said to have taken shelter there during a storm. A small shrine stands atop the rock, adding historical depth to the location.Accessibility:The coast is easily accessible via the JR Himi Line. From Amaharashi Station, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the beach. The station itself is a charming wooden building that adds to the nostalgic vibe of the area. What Visitors Say:“Very peaceful and good view location.” – Mingche C.“A must-see for people in the area. Great views of the Noto coast and the Tateyama mountain range when the weather is clear.” – Theron M.Tips:Visit on a clear winter day for the best views of the mountains.Mornings are ideal for photography and fewer tourists.A nearby roadside station offers food, drinks, souvenirs, and restroom facilities.Final Verdict:A hidden gem of the Hokuriku region, Amaharashi Coast is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and history buffs. The combination of sea, mountains, and legend makes it a truly unforgettable experience.
I went there in the summer, so I didn't have the chance to see the snow-capped mountains. I drove through a winding road and turned a corner to see the sea. The wind was quite strong. There was a coffee shop indoors opposite the coast, so I could take a short break. It was nice to sit and daydream whether indoors or by the sea.

Love this beach! Plaza La Isla just down the road along with Oxxo and Circle K within walking distance across the road so you have quick access to food/drinks. The beach itself is medium-sized with massages, fresh coconuts, jetskiing, etc.
There’s always plenty of beach available to enjoy an entire day there. Plaza Kukulcan makes it a convenient public beach with easy access to a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Yes, having to rent chairs and a beach umbrella can be one downside, but waves are perfect there and beach is worth it.

Kamakura, one of the three ancient capitals of Japan, has a long history and a profound accumulation of culture and tradition. In addition to the popular online celebrity attractions such as the filming location of "Slam Dunk" and Komachi Street, you can walk around the streets and alleys and find that there are scenery worth seeing everywhere. Especially some ancient buildings, small wooden houses and churches of various shapes and well-preserved, some traditional old brands that are hundreds or even thousands of years old, and beautifully trimmed and uniquely shaped trees, and people who are not as hurried as Tokyo and Osaka. In Kamakura, just slow down, relax, and slow down your emotions!
One of Japan's beautiful coastlines, when the weather is clear, you can see Mount Fuji in the distance from Zushi Beach. This is also where the Ryonan High School and many seaside scenes in "Slam Dunk" were filmed.

Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya are in the same direction, and can be connected together as the Kyoto North Line. A major feature of the Amanohashidate scenic area is to bend down and look at the connected plots of land between the rivers from your crotch. I don't know who can come up with this way of viewing the scenery, but it can be considered a feature.
That place was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was incredible—everything from the lighting to the decor felt perfectly curated. It had such a unique vibe that made the whole experience so memorable and enjoyable.

The Jogasaki Coast is actually a worthwhile hike. We were pressed for time and it was raining, so the three-and-a-half-hour round trip was a bit tiring. Finally, we took the 🚌 bus to the station. If you have more time, the suspension bridge is worth the hike. The black volcanic cliffs of the coast can be a bit intimidating in the wind and rain, but the forested greenway along the way, including the view from our exit at Izu Kogen Station, is quite scenic. However, I recommend visiting on good weather for a better experience.
Take the bus from Ito Station to Jogasaki Kaigan Station, and walk 1.8 km through a cherry blossom path. Although I missed the blooming time, the remaining scenery is still beautiful enough. The Jogasaki Coast is quite spectacular with its rough waves, especially when viewed from the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge...
