It was early autumn, and there were still quite a few people, but it was still the off-season. The autumn harvest was just beginning; the leaves weren't yet red, and the ginkgo trees were still green. The fact that there were more guesthouses than shops was a good thing, and many areas were very quiet. Unlike many ancient towns, which are all lined with identical shops, this was much less interesting. I didn't squeeze into the popular photo spots, but found some quieter, less crowded areas where I could take pictures. The terraced fields were beautiful, even though they were bare. I can imagine how stunning they would be in spring when they were covered in rapeseed flowers! Overall, it's worth a visit!
It's alright, not the peak season yet. There are tons of steps, so I wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility issues or those with children. The B-line tunnel only opens when it gets crowded, so you can't go up via B and down via A. The terraced fields are spectacular; even without rapeseed flowers, they're still breathtaking. The sesame paste is good, and the complimentary snacks were delicious, so I bought some too.

We went in early August during summer vacation. It was quite crowded, so the line was understandably long.
However, some travelers were smoking and shirtless while waiting in line, which really ruined the experience. If you see this review, I hope it will be improved.
Want another review? Haha. I have to climb it once a year. Mountains, meadows, sea of clouds, there's no better place. We usually go down the mountain after watching the sunset, so we don't have time to take the cable car. What mountain climbing doesn't hurt your legs? If you don't hurt your legs, you're not a special forces soldier. Just do it.

We took a combined ticket to Sixi, Rainbow Bridge, Likeng, Jiangwan, Moon Bay, and Huangling. Sixi and Rainbow Bridge were the best. They were quiet. At Rainbow Bridge, you can swim and soak your feet. It was beautiful and you could smell the scent of freedom. Huangling was also nice. I took the cable car up and walked down the mountain, which felt very free. It was just a little crowded.
Although it's not rapeseed blossom season in March, I still couldn't help but marvel at nature's wonders. There are two routes from the base of the mountain to the summit. The first route follows the navigation (after passing the ticket gate, it leads directly to Observation Deck No. 1). The descent, guided by a local, passes the most beautiful observation deck. There's also a scarecrow park nearby; I recommend visiting when the sun isn't too strong to take photos. From the base to the summit, various B&Bs are lined up along the way, generally quite affordable. At the summit, there's a four-star B&B. The infinity pool was my main attraction, but unfortunately, it was under maintenance during our visit. If you want to see the sunrise, sunset, stars, and sea of clouds, I recommend staying at the top, where most of the properties are single-family and cost a bit more. A family of five traveled by high-speed rail. We recommended staying overnight in a small village outside the Yunhe Rice Terraces scenic area. We then set off for the six-hour tour at 9 a.m. the next morning. We were exhausted, so we stayed another night in the village to recover.
The terraces are beautiful. For those traveling without a car, you can take a direct bus from Lishui High-Speed Railway Station for 30 yuan per person. Buses run frequently. There are small villages nearby where you can stay overnight. Buses also run from Yunhe Terraces to Yunhe County. Chartering a 7-seater bus from Yunhe Terraces to Guyan Painting Village costs 200 yuan.

Lushan Scenic Area is a renowned 5A-rated scenic area in China. Its scenery is breathtaking, and every visit offers a unique experience. This year marks my second visit. The scenic area's bus system is well-established, making it easy for visitors to travel between attractions. The staff are also friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, answering any questions you may have.
The 160 yuan entrance fee plus the 90 yuan sightseeing bus ticket are valid for seven days. On the first day, I went to Jiujiang. There is a minibus from Jiujiang to Xingzi opposite Jiujiang Station. For 5 yuan, I could take it to the North Gate. Then I took a sightseeing bus to Lushan. After getting off at Xiaotianchi Station, I visited Xiaotianchi. Xiaotianchi is a small pond in front of the temple. It is not worth seeing, but the White Pagoda is worth visiting. The rest of the time I spent at Meilu and Lushan Conference Center on the main street. I stayed overnight near the cable car station. There are sightseeing buses from the cable car station that go directly to all the attractions. On the second day, I climbed Wulao Peak, walked from the first peak to the fifth peak, and visited the peaks of the five peaks. Walk back 200 meters down the mountain and you will reach the Sandiequan train station in about 40 minutes. You can pay to take the train to the entrance of Sandiequan. If you don't take the train, you will walk there for about 40 minutes. This section of the road is easy to walk. The difficult part is the stairs from the entrance of Sandiequan to the Sandiequan viewing platform. There are 2,600 steps back and forth, which are quite steep. After seeing Sandiequan, you can take a sightseeing bus back to the Dakou Waterfall Station and walk down to see the Dakou Waterfall. The round trip to Dakou Waterfall takes about 1.5 hours. There is no need to go to Pokou if you don't watch the sunrise. There is a cable car at the entrance to Dakou Waterfall. Lazy people can take the cable car back and forth from here. On the third day, visit the west line, go down from the flower path, the flower path entrance is on the left side of the road, you can go around the lake and return to the entrance, go to Jinxiu Valley on the right side of the road, take the plank road to Xianren Cave, come out of Xianren Cave and take the sightseeing bus to Datianchi. There is a bus to Xiufeng after exiting Donglin Giant Buddha. After viewing Lushan Waterfall, you can take a Didi for 10 yuan to Lushan New Bus Station and take the minibus from Xingzi to Jiujiang Station.
