The 40 yuan ticket price is very cost-effective, but it's too hot and tiring. The cultural and creative shops at the North Gate are good to visit, and I can easily spend 300+ yuan hahaha. The long-skinned deer pavilion is currently being relocated and can't be seen. Dudu is nowhere to be found in the forest. The hippopotamus pavilion and wolf pavilion are not recommended. The distance is long and the wolves look lazy, like dogs. The other major pavilions in Fangniu Mountain and Dahongshan are also good.
I took my kids to Hongshan Zoo on a whim. We bought tickets on Ctrip, which was incredibly convenient and quick. We bought and used them right away, and the experience was fantastic! The zoo is so large that we couldn't see it all in five hours. We could only see a few animals that interested us. We'll save the rest for another visit.

🐬 (Tunchang Resignation Version) Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum - Wutong Avenue - Meiling Palace - Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum - Music Platform - Linggu Pagoda The entire hike took about 30,000 steps, 20 kilometers, and 8.5 hours. After the hike, I had no interest in humanities and history anymore. I just wanted to go home, shower, and lie down in bed.
The parking lot is too expensive, too expensive, too expensive. They could have just robbed me, but they still made me park for a few hours. However, the music station is very photogenic. There are too many people on Wutong Avenue, so forget it.

The ruins of Da Baoen Temple are well worth a visit. They're beautifully decorated, and the crystal Buddha head that impressed me most was truly stunning! This temple was destroyed during the war, and while some parts haven't been restored, and the pagoda isn't exactly the same as it was, the new one is still beautiful! From the top floor of Da Baoen Temple, you can gaze down at the entire city of Nanjing. At night, I went to Zhonghua Gate to see the Da Baoen Temple illuminated. It was truly beautiful! I was amazed at the beauty of our motherland!
Everything was good, except for the high ticket prices and the short performance! The so-called lantern lighting ceremony was also photographed from a distance by those queuing outside without tickets. Traffic at the entrance was extremely congested, making it difficult to get a taxi after the tour.

Is it worth going? Nanjing Museum is definitely worth your special trip to make a half-day! As one of the earliest comprehensive museums created in China, its huge collection system, distinctive special exhibitions and unique cloth exhibition ideas will take you through a journey spanning hundreds of thousands of years. Whether for history lovers or ordinary tourists, this is an indispensable hall for Nanjing. Highlights one by one: the "Treasure of the Town Courtyard" in the historical museum: step into this main exhibition hall, and the long river of time slowly opens. The majesty of the Bronze Age (the bronze of the West Zhou Dynasty is the sage), the magnificent burial ceremony of the Han Dynasty (the silver wisp of the still radiant jade coat), the wind bones of the famous people of the Southern Dynasty (the lifelike "Bamboo Forest Seven Xian and Rong Qiqi Period" molded brick painting)...every treasure is like a star to embellish the long river of Chinese civilization. The art gallery's calligraphy and painting feast: For calligraphy and painting fans, this is a paradise. The authentic paintings and paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties on regular displays are breathtaking, and the oriental aesthetics conveyed by delicate brush strokes are still alive in time. Time flow in the Republic of China Pavilion: step into this re-engraved exhibition hall in the Republic of China block and "cross" in an instant. The railway station, post office, foreign banks, old teahouses, and real old objects create a sense of living and fragrant atmosphere. Every shot is a blockbuster of the times, immersed in it to experience the floating light of Jinling's old dreams. The living heritage of non-legacy: the charm of Jiangsu's native non-legacy blooms here. The exquisite Su embroidery, elegant and pleasant purple sand, the gentle singing of Kunqu... You can immerse yourself in the live pulse and life temperature of traditional culture.
The Nanjing Museum, one of China's three major museums, boasts a rich historical heritage. Its "one academy and six museums," each with its own distinct characteristics, boasts a rich and diverse collection of cultural relics covering a wide range of fields. Its unique architectural style blends tradition with modernity. Here, visitors can journey through time and space to experience the charm of history and culture, a vital venue for the inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture.

Teacher Ye Zi is knowledgeable and humorous. He explained the history of the Six Dynasties in a clear and understandable way. I learned a lot from him. It was a perfect journey through history! I am grateful for the encounter!
🐬 (Tuchang Resignation Version) The exhibition hall is divided into four floors. On the first floor, after entering and passing security, there's free luggage storage on the right-hand side before ticket check. After entering and exiting, the ticket checker let me in. 👍 -1F is a rammed earth building. The 1F is the Dalí exhibition, very thoughtfully arranged, and I really like Dalí's works. The 2F features porcelain from the Six Dynasties period, similar to those exhibited at the Jingdezhen Museum and the Taiyuan Northern Qi Museum. The exhibits are largely familiar to everyone I've seen. The 3F is mostly filled with calligraphy, which is a bit of a rip-off. Overall, it doesn't feel worth the 30 yuan.

Guide Wang's explanations were professional, bringing the often-tedious history of the imperial examinations to life. He even used examples from "The Legend of White Snake" to deepen our understanding. He also accommodated the elderly patiently, adding an extra 8 minutes of the documentary on the imperial examinations. The tour, which we had requested for 2 hours, actually lasted 2.5 hours, a fantastic value without any extra charge. Finally, he patiently pointed out several excellent photo spots and guided us through the museum. Thank you so much to the travel agency for recommending this excellent guide.
This was my second visit to the Jiangnan Imperial Examination Hall, this time mainly with my child, who's about to start middle school. I didn't use a guide, but I did some research on Bilibili by searching for videos and explaining each scene to my child. The entire tour of the North and South Pavilions took three hours. It's a wonderful cultural experience, both ancient and modern, both new and old. Highly recommended.

On my last day, I went to Chaotian Palace. It was raining heavily when I arrived at the subway station. By the time I reached the palace, I was soaked. But the rain had its upside: not many people were there. However, I did notice a problem. Since the Nanjing Museum was renovated from Chaotian Palace, there aren't fully enclosed corridors between the buildings. Walking through them in heavy rain can easily get you soaked. However, I did get a different view of Chaotian Palace in the rain. One regret was that the cultural and creative shops were closed.
Such an interesting museum. A bit inconvenient if you travel with strollers and/or wheelchairs.

Although it rained when I went there in the morning, it cleared up later. I played a few projects, but they were too exciting and I didn’t dare to play more. My body couldn’t handle it. The scenic area is very large and it’s a bit tiring to walk. Overall, it’s still very good and worth a visit.
We went during the off-season, and were able to ride both the rapids and the large roller coaster twice, with minimal lines. The downside is that there aren't many activities, as they might be undergoing maintenance. There's a lot to see. I didn't stay until dark, so I'm not sure if there are any nighttime activities.

Nanjing Zhongshan Botanical Garden is a treasure trove of natural beauty, educational opportunities, and relaxation. Whether you're enjoying a family outing, a gathering with friends, or simply relaxing, there's something for everyone here. The garden boasts lush greenery and a rich variety of flowers, each season offering its own unique charm. In spring, cherry blossoms and tulips vie for attention, in summer, lotus blossoms bloom gracefully, in autumn, crimson leaves shimmer, and in winter, plum blossoms permeate with fragrance. A stroll through the gardens feels like stepping into a natural oxygen bar, where the fresh air is refreshing and soothing. As a national-level botanical garden, it boasts not only a rich variety of plants but also detailed signage and a science exhibition hall, making it a perfect place for children to learn about nature. Themed exhibition areas like the Tropical Botanical Palace and the Succulents Area are thoughtfully designed, allowing for close-up observation of exotic flowers and plants, enriching your experience. The gardens are very visitor-friendly, with clean paths, ample rest areas, and clear guide maps. Despite their size, they are easily accessible on foot or by rented sightseeing bus. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing prompt assistance with any questions. **Great value, highly recommended** Admission is affordable, with discounts for students and seniors. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place offers a relaxing weekend escape while immersing yourself in nature. In short, Nanjing Zhongshan Botanical Garden is an urban oasis that offers both scenic beauty, fun, and educational opportunities. I always discover something new every time I visit. Highly recommended.
This was such a beautiful garden. A bit exhausting if you have small children who don’t like walking so much or the heat, but overall it was quite nice.

Since we didn't have an appointment to go to the Presidential Palace, we just took the kids to visit this museum. It was a pleasant surprise. It talked about Jiangning Weaving, Chinese silk, cheongsam exhibition, Cao Xueqin, and Dream of the Red Chamber. Overall, it is worth a visit.
A must-visit attraction in Nanjing. The ticket is not expensive, and it is really a must-visit for fans of the Dream of Red Mansions. It is very quiet inside, very suitable for wearing ancient costumes, preferably Hanfu from the Dream of Red Mansions to take photos and check in! I have to go there every time I go to Nanjing. The last time I went there was in 2019.
