The cold winter wind could not dampen the enthusiasm of tourists. There were crowds of people everywhere. The Vairocana Giant Buddha was magnificent and majestic, and Bai Juyi's Xiangshan Temple opposite was also worth a visit.
The Longmen Grottoes are well-deserved and very beautiful. However, the grottoes are too far from the ticket gate and it takes a long time to walk. It was too hot in the summer and I was a little exhausted. But the grottoes and Buddha statues are very beautiful! In order to avoid the crowds, I went there early. I believe the night view is better.

Huashan night climb from north to west is really worth going. It is a different experience. You can sit and lie down anywhere. I want to go a second time. The West Peak Cableway is great. Before I took it, I thought the ticket price was a bit high, 100+ per side. After I took it, I charged a little less. This price is worth it.
To maximize the scenery of Mount Huashan, we chose a route that ascends from the west and descends from the north, climbing all five peaks. The scenery is breathtaking and breathtaking, a phenomenon that has been praised from ancient times to the present day. We arrived at the entrance before it opened at 6:00 AM and lined up early, but by the time we finished climbing the West and South Peaks, the crowds were already overwhelming. Reservations are required for the Changkong Plank Road and the Yaozi Flying Overpass, but if it's not crowded, you can queue on site. I waited an hour for the Yaozi Flying Overpass. Things are quite expensive on the mountain, so I recommend bringing plenty of water and food. Also, it's important to leave early; after 5:00 PM, you might have to wait in line for over an hour.

It's definitely worth the trip. My family of four had a fantastic experience visiting Laojun Mountain! It was a refreshing escape from the summer heat. We took the cable car to the summit, then hiked to admire the sea of clouds. The Golden Summit Taoist temple complex was breathtaking and magnificent. The kids were thrilled to try their hand at the cliff walk, and the whole family exclaimed, "This wonderland truly lives up to its reputation!"
We went in the afternoon and waited over an hour for the first-level cable car and half an hour for the second-level cable car. If you wait before 10 a.m., there's basically no line. We finished watching the lights turn on around 7 p.m. and took the cable car back down. It was still a bit chilly at 7 p.m. It had been 35 degrees during the day for the past two days, so even wearing sun protection clothing was a bit cold on the mountain at night.

The scenic area is well planned, with performances one after another. If you watch them all, you really won't have enough time. The Jingdong Defense War and Yue Fei's spear-to-kill Liang Wang are worth seeing, but you won't be able to see them if it's too crowded late. The snacks inside are rich and inexpensive, and the overall impression is very good.
Qingming Shanghe Park has many performances and a large park, making it worth a visit. The "Dream of the Capital of the Song Dynasty" performance is magnificent and rich in content, and is recommended. In the summer, during the daytime, there are cooling sprays. Popular performances such as "Iron Flower" and "Yue Fei Challenges the Young King of Liang" are recommended to arrive early to reserve seats.

Wansui Mountain Wuxia City is the most cost-effective in the whole Kaifeng. It is too big and the most sincere scenic spot. The scenic spots inside are rich in layers and have their own characteristics. It is the only place worth visiting in Kaifeng. Qingming Shanghe Park is not as good as this. Wansui Mountain Wuxia City > Qingming Shanghe Park
This was my kids' favorite scenic spot on this trip. They couldn't get enough of it in just three days, and even after leaving for several days, they kept nagging about going back. The scenic area really offers performances of all sizes, and the quality is excellent. The NPCs are very engaging and interactive. It's absolutely worth it, and the ticket price is very affordable. Five-star rating.

The park is clean and tidy. Although the weather is hot, the waiting time is acceptable. Most of the park has sheds to shade the sun.
A breathtaking experience! This immersive journey through the loess labyrinth interweaves grand narratives (famine, sacrifice, and resilience) with microcosmic details (such as those of Lijia Village and the train station), striking the heart. It deeply reveals Henan's memory of suffering and resilience, and passionately celebrates the cultural roots and endless vitality of the Central Plains. Innovative in form and powerful in emotion, it evokes a profound resonance of land, history, and life.

The scenic area has a strong commercial atmosphere. It takes a long time to walk from the entrance to the visitor center. The bus ride up the mountain is very uncomfortable. If you want to go up the mountain, you still need to adjust the day, otherwise you can't see anything.
Wudang Mountain is a sacred site for Taoism, a religion that fits perfectly with Chinese culture. With its rich cultural heritage, it attracts countless believers from far and wide. However, climbing Wudang Mountain requires a certain level of stamina.

If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of life and experience the essence of Zen, "Zen Ceremony" is a truly worthwhile experience. This live-action performance, centered around Zen culture, eschews dazzling special effects. Instead, it uses delicate expression and natural settings to gently weave the tranquility and philosophical essence of Zen into the hearts of every audience member. The most impressive aspect is the immersive nature of the live-action stage. The performance isn't confined to a traditional theater setting, but instead incorporates elements of mountains, rivers, bamboo forests, and ancient temples. Morning mist lingers in the bamboo forest, the moonlit eaves of the ancient temple shimmer, and even the sounds of flowing water and wind become part of the performance. As the performers, dressed in plain Zen robes, walk through the bamboo forest and meditate on the stone steps, it feels like you're not just "watching a performance," but truly stepping into a Zen painting. This immersive atmosphere, blending with nature, is more tranquil than any artificial setting.
A visit to the Shaolin Temple in Songshan. Since we were short on time, we took the simplest route: a sightseeing bus to the cable car, then Shuce Cliff, then back down the mountain by cable car, past the Pagoda Forest, then the Shaolin Temple, and finally a sightseeing bus to the martial arts hall for a performance. The total journey took five hours.

Seeing the Three Gorges Dam up close is truly spectacular, though the scenery is a bit monotonous, but it does enhance national pride. Watching ships entering and exiting the five-level ship lock at Tanziling was a novel experience. I chose the High Gorges and Flat Lakes cruise, but I was disappointed that I didn't have a boat lift. Visiting the dam area in the summer can be very sunny, so be sure to wear sunscreen.
The Three Gorges Dam is a national treasure. As a Chinese, I must have a deep understanding of it. After visiting it, I deeply felt the enormity of this project. I am grateful to the heroes who gave their lives for this project, and I am also grateful to those who made sacrifices for this project.

The distances between scenic spots necessitate self-driving. The scenery is average, but very photogenic. Perhaps because I travel frequently, I'm not impressed by the fact that, while Shennongding is definitely worth visiting, the other scenic spots are average. The directions to the scenic spots are confusing or missing. Key information, such as which attractions are ahead, floor plans, and recommended driving routes, is missing. The restrooms are dirty and smelly, and the management is unprofessional. Scanning your ID card to enter the scenic area is quite convenient. The complimentary Tianchi ticket is just an accommodation upon entry. I wouldn't recommend it. I was able to see Dajiu Lake in one morning; there are several pools, but they are photogenic. The 70 yuan transportation fee wasn't worth it. The scenic area is heavily marketed, with salespeople having to snake through the shops to get to the restrooms or continue their tour. It's overly commercialized.
It takes more than an hour to drive from Shennongjia Scenic Area to the park. The scenery along the way is very beautiful. The small train and sightseeing bus in the park are not too tiring and are suitable for children and the elderly.
